Okay, so one of you two really loves red. But complete props for having a red microwave!!!
Thanks so much for that. I so enjoy you two carrying on, always end up with a big smile. Loved the walk and of course the bridge. Hope you enjoyed that cake it looked fabulous. Thanks so much for taking me along. Please stay safe and take care
Hi Rebecca & Paul,
A message specifically to Rebecca: Happy International Women's day!!
Here in Hampshire we have BBC 6 music on our radio and they have lots of content about the day so I thought I would send a message to all of the women that I subscribe to on UA-cam. My subscription list really is international (& about 50/50 men/women), I am sending messages to USA, Finland, Germany, but you are the only British woman on my list. I hope you have a good day, and thank you for all of your content.
Has trouble finding a chopping board at the end of the counter, proceeds to attempt a level 5 geocache. After that start, there really wasn't any possible other outcome than Rebecca finding that log in the bolt, right?
Earrings on the nightstand on your side of the bed?! Stealing Rebecca's hat?! Picking a "girly" cup?! On a Saturday?!! You distinctly told me you only dressed that way on a _Thursday_ !!
Nice jaunty video guys.
NB..... "Cuff links" cus i'm posh like innit mans
@@pwhitewick Yeah, yeah.... Go tell it to the Judge! :P:D
It's a good thing you two are lovely young folks because there is a lot of the UK I want to see and to know more about. :) The hedgerows, the stone walls, the mystery locations of the classic tv series and movies, etc..
hey paul and rebecca , another great video , pauls got to find a geocache ? he cant find a chopping board lol , well done again guys :)
how did i miss this lol
🚂 👻 rip 6:27 cool
I always watch this show , they are both so entertaining !
Thanks Ollin
Was Paul’s “chopping board” a paddle board?! Heck. You are a fun couple!,,
No comment.
Question please: On the A272 Winchester - Petersfield, part way along is a road tunnel. looks like it had a railway on top. maybe 4 tracks as tunnel seems longer than for 2. Also, A34 going north from Winchester (5 - 20 miles) is old railway line fairly close to the road. Just wondered if you knew which lines they were? I used to be a delivery driver and I've driven these routes so many times. Thanks, Keep up the good work. I always enjoy your videos.
Thats the Meon Valley line. (See a video we made a couple of years back). Likely only single track, double at the most. The reason for the wide tunnel is because of the sizable embankment
@@pwhitewick Thanks, I knew you'd know.
This video has definitely reminded me that lockdown would be a perfect time to give geocaching another go (especially with the weather finally improving) as I have had several failed attempts in the past.
100% that log was sopping wet also
That was a really cool and different video , shows pals good sense of humor as well as yours ,I really enjoyed the behind the scenes bits than k you guys :-)
I think you started off at the church at Lower Bullington. I lived there until I was 5, then moved to Upper Bullington. I must have walked that path 100 times in the past. I can remember trains running along there. The sleepers on that part were replacement ones, made of concrete, as there had previously been a fire and the original ones were destroyed in the fire. The river you cross is the river Dever
Thanks Trev, glad to have brought back some memories.
Haha this is my favourite abandoned railway geocache so far GC3VC18 😀.
Great video👍
Extremely enjoyable. I lived for 26 years down that away so it is fun seeing places and roads I remember. I MUST look into this geo cache idea and see if there is anywhere up in Teesside.
Yes there is! Great Ayton quarry for a starter for 10
Straight off, loved the into. Your kitchen looks fab too. Great vid, and learning more about geocaching. Cake looked good before decorating - need to see a pic of it finished!
Looks like you're having fun with the lockdown walks! I've never been that info geoacheing but I've found a few in my local area including one on a railway bridge!
After watching this i am now fascinated with Geocaching! Interesting stuff.
Haha good stuff Judith. Enjoy
I like the more chatty style with more dialogue between the two of you.
Thanks for the video. Such a beautiful morning for you to do your blog. Rebecca makes a stunning cake how high it rises!!😎🚂🚃🚃🇬🇧
Thanks you two for the few mins of brilliant entertainment..
Like the relaxed style of this video jovial but still informative.Brightened up my day in a near deserted office!
Thanks Nigel.
Thanks for another interesting video. I loved it!
Great video, as always. You two are so cute together, and that cake looks yummy
Your mixture of Facts and Fun is always refreshing. Thank you Rebecca and Paul. Long live the Bobble Hat.
Learnt two new things today ...geocache ...hat hair ! great video both !
2:37 Thought that was the start of high hopes pink floyd :D
Haha. Almost
Love the vids guys love seeing abandon rali way and tunnels and other stuff
wow that creek or stream water is nice and clear ! 4:28
That was fun! I didn't know anything about Geocaching, but having looked on line , we have it in Poland. I'll have to give it a try. Thanks for a smashing video. See you again soon
Good excuse for a walk somewhere new.
There are geocaches here as well. You got my wheels turning...one is at a location called 'Peddlers Grave' in schulkill county, pa. Looks like a fun challenge. Great vid as usual(social distancing=abandoned locations)😁👍👍
Haha... yup we are miles from anyone! In fact we didn't see one other walker on this day!
No way that's a D5! Not even close. Unless you had to solve a difficult puzzle to get the coordinates.
Completely agree
My thoughts too - great cache but perhaps a 3?
@@saragreen6944 yup. Took a while to find but it wasn't too tricky. Waist high etc.
Funnily enough, if you hadn't commented that, I would have jumped in. I've done several bolt caches, usually D1.5 - 2, especially with wooden structures where there's a limited number of places it could be (unlike, say, magnetic "naughty nanos" on a steel structure)...
9:40 It's always been the A303. The bridge would have been widened when the original Bullington Cross roundabout was built. Before that both the A34 and A303 were single carriageways where they crossed just to the north of Upper and Lower Bullington.
I've no idea what that was about but I absolutely loved it.
I'm not completely sure myself
nice jaunty video guys keep up the good work
Thanks! Will do!
I'd a feeling you pair did a bit of Geocaching!
What gave it away Ken!
My Cacheradar never fails. "I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE UP TO!" I have been heard to shout (when there are no muggles around). You display all the symptoms. I bet 80% of your followers are cachers. Now, I wouldn't want to put any money on it, but if you need a topic, I would challenge you to at least do a quick survey! :-)
Quickly becoming one of our favourite channels, greetings from Australia - also transport corridor tragics.
Thank you very much!
I did almost get sunburnt in Feb. Sat on a bench in the sun for too long. :)
Great vid
Great video. Enjoyed the format change to include behind the scenes and the subject!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic different style of video and intro. Hope to see more abandoned railway parts soon 🤞
Thanks Matt. We can't wait to get back out again properly.
Dammit, there's room to hide a proper Ammo can cache nearby!
The implement Paul was preparing food on was worth the subscription on its own...
That was very different but very entertaining and also really enjoyed this and as Rebecca said 'ASDA let you down' well they couldn't even organise a party down their Beer, Wine and Spirit Aisle, I be honest I did see Rebecca rant and there is a lot of things I do agree with what was said. anyway I'm getting side track but one last thing I also like the thumbnail, Rebecca looks so evil on it
Cheers Simon, feedback very much appreciated.
That cake sure looks good! Another great video!
I understood the cake bit at the end, but Geothingy? What the ...... ?
I’ll have a look for that cutting (or not) - map time!
And the adventures of the elusive chopping board, may be more instalments next time!
You are such a lovely couple! I enjoy every minute of your videos.
Thanks for a bit of sunshine both.
Seriously always one of my favorite times of the week. So much fun. Stay safe you two! I think you could do a great series on how to visit the UK! That would be a blast. With lots of sponsorship of course!
Sounds perfect to me James
At 10:12 the trace of the old rail track can be seen and it lines up neatly with the trees further over. One end of the line can be seen on Easton Lane in Winchester where the old bridge is still evident. Winchester City Council use the abandoned tunnel that goes through Magdelen Hill to store wheelie bins!
Great video guys 😎
All the best 🙂🍻🥂👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Spot the Extra Terrestrial at 1:50!
Do I spot a Guinea Pig cage on the background there (12:44)? That's so cute! ^-^
I got two
I love that face of your Rebecca xx Your so goofy.
Bejezus theres red everywhere!! Leather sofas!
Great video 👍👍 especially with a hot cup of milk and bean's on egg 🥚 guts are off now tho 🔥🔥🔥😭
haha, was that a vending machine in the bedroom?!
Vending Machine!!??
It's the Emohawk!
Guys. Love the series. Have you ever thought of doing the route of the old privately owned Weston Clevedon and Portishead railway?
You can check out the history on UA-cam
Great vid,.. I think! I've had a couple of sherbets (drinks to you) and I'm a bit... urr,.. lost my train of thought. Cheers anyway!
It's a shame you two haven't caught any ghost trains on camera haha. 😂 Good video as always BTW. :)
Next time!
Brilliant
nice one
Different style of video for a change. Nice to see a different side of you both. Thought Rebecca looked rather "minxy" in the thumbnail!
Love it.
I am honestly not used to seeing such a large kitchen in the UK. :D
Haha... its the only room we use!
Awesome.
cheers
Meant to say, I really enjoyed the more jazzy music.
Funky wasn't it.
@@pwhitewick yeah I did really enjoy it and I felt it added quite a lot. So much you tubers music is dull dull dull. “Out of the Woods” uses music very well. The looser more personal style was good too, so much you tube is aping mainstream media, worst is those you tubers who are apparently doing slots for “Nationwide” fifty years ago!
Love the chatty format, it's fun and seems more natural. That underpass was amazing with it's gorgeous brickwork. Where is the village the halt was intended for? Or was it just a milk pick-up point?
I should have mentioned. The Halt was for the War. (WWI). Troops had a local camp there
@@pwhitewick Ah ha, so the history of the halt is more then a milk stop!
Was that a model railway in the background at the end there? I've heard of geo-caching before. Not really explored it as yet. Looks interesting.
Alas no, this was home to our pet tortoise Clyde
9:37 I may be wrong but that is the bridge for the A303 you were walking under.
Thats the one Andrew. I had a feeling it was called the A30 many years ago. Not sure.
@@pwhitewick The A303 does join up with the A30 before Exeter. For more information, you can google both A30 and A303 and that should tell you about them.
Happy Birthday! :)
Erm....
@@pwhitewick But..but.. you said its a birthdaycake :o
@@HobbesDan ooooooh yeah. Rebecca's youngest
I don't know when the stay at home rule ends, but from 28th March outdoor sport is permited, I am sure that Rambeling counts as a sport and that you can travel to the location :)
Stay at home, other than work (this is us), exercise or essential travel ends on 29th March indeed.
Paul certainly knows how to treat a gal on a date ;-)
Have you new camera equipment as the pic quality looks far better👍
Nothing New Steve. Do you mean during the film?
Like the beginning
Cheers Ernest, we are considering a short intro each video but completely mixing it up each time.
What is your geocaching name? As a fellow cacher I would be interested in getting your thoughts on a few of mine if you were in the Taunton area again.
There was a 5, 5 geocache in the Crimson Hill tunnel that you have filmed called the Beast of Crimson Hill.
Difficulty 5. But easy once Rebecca found it 🤔
Not seeing the chopping boards is what is referred to in our household as ‘doing a man look’.
I make those looks daily!
Cheers Paul and Rebecca... How's the hunt for the ...(insert person) Grave going?
Pavey?
The railway was in a cutting after the A303, but it would have been very shallow, 12 ft maybe?
The old maps seem to indicate a massive one!
@@pwhitewick Massive in length maybe, but very shallow (there are not enough contours). I find the OS symbol is not a good indicator for depth I’m afraid, but the contours are.
I knew you were really aliens with a human hologram projection overlay! Look at your shadow on the wall at 1:50! I knew it! I knew it! I KNEW IT! 😬
Lol.
Is 5 the max level for a geocache ? there are 2 near me that are on a different level ! One requires potholing gear to get to and the other requires local knowledge to get in and a guide to get you to the location, once there it becomes only a cat 5 !
Since you two _hoofed it_ along that old railway, is it _really_ abandoned? 😉
good
Very entertaining - despite the fact that I haven't a clue what a geocache is - and can you please send me a slice of your cake, Rebecca?
Nom Nom... hic.
Geocaching - it's kind of a treasure hunt.
The stile, at 3:20, with the barbed wire under the top rail wasn't very friendly!
That whole stile was ropey
Have you ever thought of doing Randonautica?
I'm exhausted so much to take in. I'm going to lay down for........ 6 hours
Re watch once awake
Is there still treasure in geocaches these days?
Yup, but generally for thr kids and not really something people pick up during during Covid.
I think that someone got out of the wrong side of the bed and it isn't Rebecca! Paul, you better get new glasses so you can find things in the kitchen. Very entertaining video by the way. 👍
I always enjoy your videos but Paul - Flora Margarine, really? what's wrong with butter?
Earings on your bedside table. You lovely boy, you.
Cuff links cus I'm posh innit
Wow, you go for those hints really early, don't you ? 😄
Lol.... Yuuuup
I tried to find a geocache once last year. Never did find it. At that point I lost interest in the whole idea.
Keep going Lionel try another.
I don’t know what’s going on!!! What’s a geo thingy? I am old and scared!!!!
:D What have I just watched?? XD
I'm not completely sure myself Raf
I want a Rebecca cooking vlog along the lines of IKS Chatroom.
i don't think i would have fond that chopping board
Those wrapps were lacking a vital ingredient, MEAT :)
Nah. Better without meat. They may be veggies like us.
