The funny thing is, I have the s10+ and I never use the camera's, every smartphone I have ever owned, the camera was the one thing I hardly if ever used, maybe I'm the only person in the world that doesn't buy a smartphone based on how good the camera is, I don't mind that the power button is high up on the phone, the battery on my s10+ is just perfect for me, it last me all day with plenty of power left, the hardware on the s10+ is top notch and I'm not going to say that the software is the best in the business, people that have more knowledge of that topic can judge that, but it fits my every need and it is fast.

Although not built in, like it is with the P30, there is a headphone jack that plugs into the charger socket and has a headphone jack at the other end, which works perfectly - you can get it on Amazon for approx £5

Has to be the Huawei P30 Pro I have the phone and it's brilliant, very fast, takes amazing pictures (without beautifying your face on the front camera), great fingerprint sensor and face recognition, looks amazing and overall a superb phone. Samsung on the other hand, I think they ruined the look of the phone the camera design on the back is bad and the location of the front camera is very annoying. I've owned both iPhones and Samsungs and I have to say the Huawei is the best phone I've ever owned. The battery lasts 2 days before needing to be charged and it literally takes 40 minutes for the phone to charge from 20% to 100%. To anyone needing any advice, I'd strongly recommend the Huawei

I'd go for the P30 pro not just for the camera quality but for the Tons of camera modes they offer ( I believe they will push a software update to enable 4K 60 fps) . Also, better charging speed is what I prefer to future proof Wi-Fi chip. I can settle for the software, updates, screen, processor and basically everything else. But headphone jack is painful to leave

In my country (Poland) the price desparity causes P30 Pro to be the better phone for your money (3799 local currency compared to 4399 for SGS10+ / using today's exchange rate (1PLN=0,1985GBP) it is a comparison of ~754,10 GBP for Huawei and ~873,20 GBP for Samsung). i love samsung and get the newest one every year as i honestly think its usually the best all rounder, so this is difficult to say... but its probs a software update thing to make you upgrade... just like what apple do. I do always recommend to never update any android phone after about 12 months though lol, a new OS always ends up in slightly more stutter :(

True people say one ui has cartoonish look but to me its more pleasant and eye catching plus one ui has more features and customisations than any other android skin.
iPhone 11 will be 2 to 4 years behind, showcasing features android flagships had in 2015/16, add in the lack of features and lack of customisation it's pricetag isn't worth it in anyway.

In screen speaker doesn't have as good performance as a regular one. I don't how you are saying Huawei's ergonomics are better than the samsung. To me s10 plus colors are more beautiful especially prism white and that green one and also those ceramic one. S10 plus battery life is also just as good if not better than Huawei. And also you get more brand value with samsung than Huawei . So i don't know what you are talking about.

Great job 👍 good video. My experience with both companies is that overall Samsung phones have great durability meaning it will last longer than any other phones. Had Huawei p8, p9, p10, and I have to say all of them lost their touch after 6 to 7 months living phone Lagging most of the time. Been using Galaxy s9+ for over a year and I have to say wow it's great and it's still competing with other flagship phones out there. I will definitely get the S10+

My P30 pro scored a higher geek bench score than s10 note 10 ect.. I'm running emui 10. Coming from a Samsung phone my P30 pro is smooth as hell. Comparable to iPhone 11 smoothness.

Yes, the Snapdragon 855 version of the S10 is more powerful than the Kirin 980, but not the Exynos 9820. Anandtech has an extensive deep dive comparing the Exynos 9820, Kirin 980, and Snapdragon 855. The Exynos is the slowest and least efficient of the three. The Exynos 9820 is 127mm² which is approximately 74% larger ~73mm² of the Kirin 980 and Snapdragon 855. The Exynos 9820 does have a slightly faster GPU however. However there isn't a big difference between the Mali-G76 MP12 and the Mali-G76 MP10. In the majority of benchmark such as PCMark for Android, 3DMark, GFXBench (DX / GLBenchmark) 2.7, WebXPRT 3, Octane V2, Mozilla Kraken 1.1, Jetstream 2, Speedometer 2.0, SPEC2006 the Kirin 980 is faster than Exynos 9820. The Kirin 980 SOC is 75% smaller to boot! Edit: The Kirin 980 is also better at gaming, what the hell Samsung.
Usability - the MOST critical aspect. I switched from a Mate 10 pro to the S10 Plus and regret it after a month of use. The Huawei interface is in a different league.
I prefer batterylife and camera, so i got the P30 pro, damn that batterylife is killing my Old S9 plus. The best batterylife ever, my best before that was iphone 8 plus

I'm a hobby photografer, but I can't always have my DSLR with me. The P30Pro will hopefully take me a step closer to get awesome shots, whereeve,r whenever. Camera is THAT main feature for me. I don't play games on my smartphone and I don't watch movies eighter. I'm really happy Huawei used a display with lower resolution to safe power. Although both have a nearly the same capacity, the S10+ seems to have trouble to get you through the day (according to many amazon reviews). The only thing I'm very sad about is video ability of the P30Pro. If it would have the same quality and freatures as the S10+, the P30Pro would be the perfect phone for me. Nether the less, it looks like it' will be the best compromise for me.
I have a Huawei Mate 9 and it's 'night time photo' capabilities are stunning... Just ridiculously good pics in dusk or in city environment at night. Huawei is the ultimate go for photographers.
I do a lot of photography. Thought of buying Pro 30 so it is lighter when traveling. Only got it yesterday. I see a lot of good reviews for Pro30. But i must say i am disappointed. Too pixly. Now am hoping to return it and get my money back. Cannot compare a real camera with a smartphone camera.
I own both and use both heavily all day every day. Let me assure you the actual battery life of the Huawei is easily double that of the S10+ which is nothing short of dreadful. And as for Mrwhosetheboss's preference over Huawei's interface I LOATH the Samsung by comparison, it completely lacks the intelligence of the Huawei. Additionally the Huawei's WiFi radio is WAY stronger then the S10+ when held side-by-side. I get a decent signal in my bedroom from the router in the living room three walls away where the Samsung switches to 4G in my bedroom as it is unable to maintain a decent signal. This review falls short of his usual standard.
Always had a Samsung until now; just picked up a Huawei P30 Pro 3 days ago, BUT, going to return it on monday! The little things ruin this phone, it is just not user friendly. (or maybe not like Samsung which I've been used to) - OS is a bit simple, settings which should have been turned on, are turned off by default, like a menu for unused apps, by default you don't have menu, everything is on the main screen just like iPhone - No notification LED, you have to turn on the screen every time to see if you have messages and also the notifications you get on lock screen you can't just scroll down to read a bit more - Fingerscanner doesn't work good, on my S8 it was always perfect, with the p30 I sometimes try untill it says type in your pincode - Notification peep sounds while in call can't be turned off, if you get 100 messages while in a long call, you will get crazy - Vibration is really soft, in 3 days I've missed all my calls - There is no ear speaker, the speaker is like the fingerscanner behind the screen and it's really soft. - You can't turn on the screen without clicking on the power button (so you can't just click the home button) - Screen quality is low compared to samsung, you can actually see pixels and colours are a bit vague - The notification bar at the top is hard to scroll down while in call. I don't know where the sensor is but every time I try to bring it down while in call screen goes off. Untill now the only qualities I could find were the camera and the battery. And the battery isn't that great.

Has to be the Huawei P30 Pro I have the phone and it's brilliant, very fast, takes amazing pictures (without beautifying your face on the front camera), great fingerprint sensor and face recognition, looks amazing and overall a superb phone. Samsung on the other hand, I think they ruined the look of the phone the camera design on the back is bad and the location of the front camera is very annoying. I've owned both iPhones and Samsungs and I have to say the Huawei is the best phone I've ever owned. The battery lasts 2 days before needing to be charged and it literally takes 40 minutes for the phone to charge from 20% to 100%. To anyone needing any advice, I'd strongly recommend the Huawei

I'd go for the P30 pro not just for the camera quality but for the Tons of camera modes they offer ( I believe they will push a software update to enable 4K 60 fps) . Also, better charging speed is what I prefer to future proof Wi-Fi chip. I can settle for the software, updates, screen, processor and basically everything else. I'm legit surprised that the Galaxy S10+ and P30 Pro are priced equaly in the UK (for 128 GB version). In my country (Poland) the price desparity causes P30 Pro to be the better phone for your money (3799 local currency compared to 4399 for SGS10+ / using today's exchange rate (1PLN=0,1985GBP) it is a comparison of ~754,10 GBP for Huawei and ~873,20 GBP for Samsung).

i love samsung and get the newest one every year as i honestly think its usually the best all rounder, so this is difficult to say... but its probs a software update thing to make you upgrade... just like what apple do. I do always recommend to never update any android phone after about 12 months though lol, a new OS always ends up in slightly more stutter :(

True people say one ui has cartoonish look but to me its more pleasant and eye catching plus one ui has more features and customisations than any other android skin.
The only good thing about emui is gestures, its very fluid like iPhone gestures and one ui gestures are not well implemented

Great job 👍 good video. My experience with both companies is that overall Samsung phones have great durability meaning it will last longer than any other phones. Had Huawei p8, p9, p10, and I have to say all of them lost their touch after 6 to 7 months living phone Lagging most of the time. Been using Galaxy s9+ for over a year and I have to say wow it's great and it's still competing with other flagship phones out there. I will definitely get the S10+

My P30 pro scored a higher geek bench score than s10 note 10 ect.. I'm running emui 10. Coming from a Samsung phone my P30 pro is smooth as hell. Comparable to iPhone 11 smoothness.

Yes, the Snapdragon 855 version of the S10 is more powerful than the Kirin 980, but not the Exynos 9820. Anandtech has an extensive deep dive comparing the Exynos 9820, Kirin 980, and Snapdragon 855. The Exynos is the slowest and least efficient of the three. The Exynos 9820 is 127mm² which is approximately 74% larger ~73mm² of the Kirin 980 and Snapdragon 855. The Exynos 9820 does have a slightly faster GPU however. However there isn't a big difference between the Mali-G76 MP12 and the Mali-G76 MP10.
In the majority of benchmark such as PCMark for Android, 3DMark, GFXBench (DX / GLBenchmark) 2.7, WebXPRT 3, Octane V2, Mozilla Kraken 1.1, Jetstream 2, Speedometer 2.0, SPEC2006 the Kirin 980 is faster than Exynos 9820. The Kirin 980 SOC is 75% smaller to boot!

I'm a hobby photografer, but I can't always have my DSLR with me. The P30Pro will hopefully take me a step closer to get awesome shots, whereeve,r whenever. Camera is THAT main feature for me.
I don't play games on my smartphone and I don't watch movies eighter. I'm really happy Huawei used a display with lower resolution to safe power. Although both have a nearly the same capacity, the S10+ seems to have trouble to get you through the day (according to many amazon reviews). The only thing I'm very sad about is video ability of the P30Pro. If it would have the same quality and freatures as the S10+, the P30Pro would be the perfect phone for me. Nether the less, it looks like it' will be the best compromise for me.
I have a Huawei Mate 9 and it's 'night time photo' capabilities are stunning... Just ridiculously good pics in dusk or in city environment at night. Huawei is the ultimate go for photographers.
I do a lot of photography. Thought of buying Pro 30 so it is lighter when traveling. Only got it yesterday. I see a lot of good reviews for Pro30. But i must say i am disappointed. Too pixly. Now am hoping to return it and get my money back. Cannot compare a real camera with a smartphone camera.

I own both and use both heavily all day every day. Let me assure you the actual battery life of the Huawei is easily double that of the S10+ which is nothing short of dreadful. And as for Mrwhosetheboss's preference over Huawei's interface I LOATH the Samsung by comparison, it completely lacks the intelligence of the Huawei. Additionally the Huawei's WiFi radio is WAY stronger then the S10+ when held side-by-side. I get a decent signal in my bedroom from the router in the living room three walls away where the Samsung switches to 4G in my bedroom as it is unable to maintain a decent signal. This review falls short of his usual standard.
Always had a Samsung until now; just picked up a Huawei P30 Pro 3 days ago, BUT, going to return it on monday!
The little things ruin this phone, it is just not user friendly. (or maybe not like Samsung which I've been used to)
- OS is a bit simple, settings which should have been turned on, are turned off by default, like a menu for unused apps, by default you don't have menu, everything is on the main screen just like iPhone
- No notification LED, you have to turn on the screen every time to see if you have messages and also the notifications you get on lock screen you can't just scroll down to read a bit more
- Fingerscanner doesn't work good, on my S8 it was always perfect, with the p30 I sometimes try untill it says type in your pincode
- Notification peep sounds while in call can't be turned off, if you get 100 messages while in a long call, you will get crazy
- Vibration is really soft, in 3 days I've missed all my calls
- There is no ear speaker, the speaker is like the fingerscanner behind the screen and it's really soft.
- You can't turn on the screen without clicking on the power button (so you can't just click the home button)
- Screen quality is low compared to samsung, you can actually see pixels and colours are a bit vague
- The notification bar at the top is hard to scroll down while in call. I don't know where the sensor is but every time I try to bring it down while in call screen goes off.
Untill now the only qualities I could find were the camera and the battery. And the battery isn't that great.

The Kirin 980 is faster Exynos 9820, but slower than the Snapdragon 855. So the P30 Pro is more powerful than the European version of the S10.

@@Christs_Apologet Read more reports from Web or UA-cam. The battery from Huawei is much better and durable than S10 plus. I had both phones and sell S10 plus at the end.
