I saw a review where they mentioned you could make the icons smaller. Just curious if you looked into it cuz I did not like them so big when I saw it at best buy. Please let us know. Thank you
A number of people have already brought this up in the comments as I've seen, so I apologize for the repetition here.
1) With expandable storage the maximum you can get on the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus is 1.5 TB, not just 1 TB.
2) You used the fingerprint scanner incorrectly. You are only meant to lightly tap it as the ultrasonic capabilities do not require a hard press on the screen like the 2D sensors before this.

To make the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner faster you have to just touch the screen , gently and not press the screen

if it performs like any other fps then assigning the same fingerprint twice should also speed up accuracy and unlocking speed. I assign both my right and left index fingers twice each on my s8 fps.
all sounds temperamental as all hell to me... it should just work anyway you touch it....
@@Anon1370 Its like sonar. Reading the depth of the grooves. If u press hard, fingers grooves are less readable,since they are flatten.
What is so tamperamental? Its easier to just touch it and not squeeze.

Fingerprint sensor is made to be lightly tapped, not long pressed. Way faster with a tap.

Getting kinda sick about hearing how "unrealiable" it is with no actual follow up to provide context. the 1 person (from the verge, huge surprise there) who mentioned it was unreliable was using the fingerprint reader in the most ridiculous manner, that looks nearly deliberate just to get it to not register. I've watched an actual legit good phone review, MKBHD (about about the only dude I'd trust at this point) who's yet to have a single issue unlocking this phone or even mention the world unreliable.
Everyone lauds faceID and rightfully so, but it arguably takes longer to use given that you still have to use a gesture to get out of the notifications screen after faceID has authenticated.

Just tap your finger on the fingerprint scanner, it opens even faster than the optical ones! And also the app icon size reduces if you change home screen layout to 5x5 in settings!

I love your calm demeanor as you review these phones. You look so much like Angie, I'm guessing she's your sister. Great review though. I too like the S10 better than the Plus. The Plus is a tad too large to comfortably carry around in my pockets and a single Punch hole is any day less intrusive than two.
A lot of UA-camrs seem to think that the second camera on the S10+ is in fact a camera. It's not. It's a depth sensor specifically for selfies and portraits. Never the less, this phone looks AWESOME and I want tone to upgrade from my S8. The cameras on this phone look SO good and the features of the cameras are a massive upgrade from the S8.
Finally we see long video from your channel. Nice 👍 regular s10 is looks cool.

I don't get why most videos I've watched mention the fact that Samsung dark fading the wallpapers to hide the punch hole = something good, or that dark theme = we notice it less so that's good. Are we already forgetting that we used to have a huge dark bar there? I think that the punch hole is pretty amazing. I WANT to see it. It's almost a slick design element to me and I love it.
I look forward to the regular S10 review. Can't find any anywhere.

I initially had them off but then you can’t switch between apps as easily. If you hold the middle and slide right/left you can quickly switch between apps similar to the pixel 3 and iPhone x’s

@@babdullah5025 Oh can I ask why? The note 9 is a beast aswell, and has the s-pen. I know many people that can't live without the s-pen. Personally I had a note 8 and never really used the s-pen. And that's why I'm using galaxy s serie. But if you like the idea about the s-pen you should keep it and wait for the note 10. Just an idea

IKR!! he said the hole punch cut out is a downside, when is one of the most inovative things, he is also using the FPS wrong, And he said that the battery life and charging speed are not on par with the competition, and i've seen about 5 battery drain tests and the S10 lasts longer than every other flagship. WTH ?

Im not exactly a fan of the holepunch, but after using the fone for a week I got used to it, and I can tell that its a lot better and less distracting than a notch.

The swipe up normal button layout is amazing because you have more screen real estate. Isn't that obvious.
But as he said, this comes at the cost of inadvertent selections of on-screen clickable content. Haven't you experienced this? I'd prefer the hide-able navigation buttons like in Oreo.

@@manspider1833 I'm glad you haven't had a problem. For me, it adds nothing over One Hand Operation + and it's taken away an option I liked, which was to hide the nav buttons.

Im upgrading from S7 to s10
Hello...I currently have the s9 plus and with the recent update to PIE, the option of assigning individualized tones to contacts when receiving SMS/TXT messages was taken away and replaced by just a vibration pattern option. Does anyone know if on the galaxy s10 we will be able to assign specific tones for sms from individual contacts?

I've just received my pre order yesterday and found that the front camera crop way too much that I look too zoomed in. And it's the same during video calls which is sooo annoying. Is there a way to change this default setting ?

After upgrading to Android 10, the Galaxy S10 and S10e screens both have noticeably dimmer whites.
This is not a colour saturation issue, or a settings issue, it is a brightness issue. It seems to occur the moment you upgrade from Android 9 to 10. The phones I have looked at are UK phones - so presumably run on an Exynos chip. Is it a deliberate move by Samsung to force-prolong screen/battery life?
Can you investigate this please, because I can find no clear advice anywhere.

I'm so finally ready to change from my old and busted S6, the S10+ looks fantastic.
I also have S6 and battery is draining to fast so S10 here I come. I really like the fact that you can use three different options to take pictures even though I most likely won't use them. I also like that you get free buds with S10 and S10+
Today I received my S10 and I got to say that I agree with you. For almost 3 years I been use S7 edge and I love it. After all this time I thought that I can finally can replace my S7edge but I was so wrong. I brought S10 on 2 years contract in Comviq Sweden operator. Thank god I was able to cancel it and send back mine S10 and I will tell you why:
In less then 30 minutes I was able to found this:
S10 can't switch between cameras in video recording 1080P 60fps and 4K 60fps mode. You are stuck with only one main camera.
S10 don't have PRO mode for video recording.
S10 have lower low light and indoors pictures quality compare to my S7 edge and my wife S8.
S10 have Power-button way up on the side which make it very hard to use with one hand.
S10 USB C charging port is soldered directly to the motherboard so If you damage it basically you have to replace whole motherboard.
S10 feels a bit more hollow when you knock it with the finger on the back glass compare to my S7 edge.
S10 on UA-cam App has only 1080p resolution supported while my S7 edge has 1440p
I found this very disappointing and very frustrating that not even one ''PRO'' reviewers on UA-cam mention any of this?!
