Guys!!! Don't do it!!!! I know I'm late but... I got a 2009 lexus that I am pumping out right now. I went on ebay and got a 2012 steering wheel with official controls BUILT IN for £45!!!! Yes the airbag then needs changing over, but Why buy universal buttons for £20+ when u can spend £45 & get an OFFICIAL WHEEL WITH BUTTONS PRELOADED 🤣🤣🤣
@@uptownsfinest1598Good point. I'm not a youtuber or instagram person or forum guy, but I am happy to forward my picks when I finish my build. I have bought the same universal controller bro, also same from china. Just wondering if the two pads controllers are battery operated and is it maybe replaceable?
Bart Directo yes both battery operated . not 100% sure if the batteries are replaceable I would believe they are and I think they use not sure the name but you know like batteries for watches
@@omerabbas2001 thanks I messaged eBay seller and he says it doesn't that it's connects thru the radio he whoever it was pissing me off I was telling him theres no way the steering wheel part has no batteries . thanks again
it was good to me worked with no issues , I ended up giving it to a friend because I gotten a new car that has it built in but yes it was good for the most part I actually regret giving it because I tapped into my cars wire and I constantly have to keep programming it
What if my radio has a swc slot like an old headphone plug in? Like it doesn’t get connected to line 1/2 but rathe me plugged in the back the way someone plugs in headphones
Im not 100% sure haven't experienced any radio like that but from what i think you're saying is your radio has the 3.5mm jack my guess is you would put in the male part of the head phone jack into the female part lol sounds like sex ed 😂 but yea male part into female end of your radio and the male part use the wires and connect hope you understand what im meaning and hope it helps
Im really confused on the key 1 and key 2 wires. My car never had steering wheel controls, where exactly am i connecting the key wires? Are they on the android unit harness??
Well you did tell me everything I needed to know, thank you

The antenna sensor signal to the module
You don't have to connect the antenna at all
the antenna wire does not connect to anything as it picks up the signals from the wheel buttons
Key 1 communication antenna to switch it on
