Hey man, amazing as always, of course, I know this may seem like an unorthodox question, also I'm not sure how long ago this was put into the curriculum, but do you know of anyone who took online courses through Berklee?
JP, I'm 15 and have been playing drums for 7 years. I want to spend some real money on four cymbals (hats, ride, 2 crashes). I have been looking at and listening to the Zildjian A's like the 21 inch sweet ride and other A and A custom cymbals. I'm just wondering what you would suggest. I play in and alternative?rock band and in my school's Jazz band, but I play all different types of music.
I know I'm not JP and you can just completely ignore me if you want, but from my experience as a touring drummer Zildjian has kinda become like the Beatz headphones of the cymbal industry. They look pretty and sound good most of the time, but theyre really expensive and tend to break easily due to low durability and imperfections. Zildjian is also really well known for having every cymbal of the same kind sound different, so make sure you buy in person from a store if you get Zildjians. Suggestion wise, honestly all the major brands are great, each with their good and bad points. I'd suggest giving yourself a price range for each cymbal, go to a drum store and try out all the cymbals in each category within that range. Meinl definitely has the best balance of sound quality and durability though!
Congratulations on taking advantage of your surroundings in drumming to achieve greatness.
Thanks for sharing JP!

Talent aside, you are one extremely good looking dude. Great vid!
If it depended on playing that intro fill correctly, I would have won that free punch on the face... like one hundred punches, in fact.
