Wow man this studio looks amaaaazing. I’m currently trying to figure out how to set up my shed studio and this gave me tons of ideas. Loving your channel so far man!
I couldn’t agree more about reducing resistance. That’s the most important part of this excellent video! In my case that extends to using ultra light hardware and even drums, as well as getting rid of anything I don’t use etc etc.
YEEEEES! 😄 Thank you! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I can relate to the resistant so much. I have a hybrid space so I would have to adjust the stuff on the sealing too so that I would not have to set it all up again all the time.
Hell yeah, glad to see a video like this from. Old jp vlogs revamped. I've been wondering what the new wall was about but didn't want to pry. Looks beautiful
The ‘Atomic Habits’ approach to building a studio. Incredible work. Can relate to the drummer vs resistance thing big time. Loved this. Thanks for the tour!
Congratulations JP. I can imagine the thrill and the happiness it gives. Yes, it is as great as the teaching contents. I may be a good idea to have Carter as guest to give advices on studio stuff
Hope to see you crank out more content, Carter Mclean is definitely a good inspiration to dial in a studio he gets incredible tones out of his space with minimal mic's
So glad to see another vlog! I missed these. Started watching from the very beginning years ago. Keep crushing it! Thanks for all the inspo over the years.
Very interesting video, thanks! One question: I actually would be interested to know about the ride cymbal models, or let's say at least your favourite ones 😁. And one comment: You definitely have to make a video series about how to organize your stuff, as it's clearly one of the things that make me fail in my daily life 🙈.
Hey JP, loved your studio renovation tour! I'm in the middle of one myself and I can't seem to find any wall mounted/ceiling mounted mic stands. Do you happen to have the of the ones you use? Thanks and incredible content as always!
I didn't see your old studio monitors? You must have gone with just using your headphones while playing and recording? Probably better for keeping your ears healthy and happy 😊. Great job. YES, IM VERY JEALOUS 😅😅😅. I'M PROUD OF YOU YOUNG MAN, KEEP UP THE HARD WORK!!!
Mannn, such a thorough and dope studio tour! Also, love the 3 point lighting setup you have goin👊🏻 If you’re ever in Oxnard for DW, hit me up bro! I have a huge studio space here that I teach out of and would love to hang🥁
Man, looks so good! Totally a random question…finding a place to practice has been difficult where I live. Are you at a storage facility? Any tips in getting a room where drums are allowed?
Love it! The stuff from audimute…does it glue to the wall so that it’s basically not reusable if you once move out? That was always my concern when I see their products. I like to have acoustic panels that I can hang like a picture frame and reuse in different rooms as long as I’m alive basically ;-) 2nd question: You said during live streams you don’t run your mics through logic? But where do they go through instead?
Valid concern, but no not at all. No glue. They have these little hang tabs that you screw into the back of the panel, and then you literally staple gun that to the wall. Super easy to remove. No damage to wall or panel. If you move, you can take them all with you. Installation is insanely easy. Didn't even need help from a second person.
hey jp im a really big fan and im really inspired by your playing, ive been taking drum classes with a teacher, but were going pretty slow and i dont feel like im getting better, do you think i can replace my classes with your course? (im beginner-intermediate)
Hey Fabio. Why don’t I get you going on a free month and you can see if it feels like a good alternative? Send me an email at jp (at) JPBouvetMethod.com
Holy Shit... A BLOG.... YES JP!!!!
lol on and on!
Dude! Congrats everything looks great and super efficient! Also, isn't Mitch the best! Hope to see you soon!

And btw, thank you for showing the ducker hack. I've always wondered if you manually cut away the noise but than makes so much sense!
great video, wish more drummers would do more of these!
Whats up JP!? Dig your studio, great video and good to hear from ya, for me its been a while!
The place looks awesome, I’d love to have a space like that! Respect for putting all together and I like the thought process.

I'm a huge sucker for whiteboards and dry-erase calendars. Those are the ultimate productivity tools!
Awesome! Really nice set-up and thanks for the clear explanation/tour! Nice space!!
Been wanting this for years! Thanks JP. Loved this tour and the new studio.

Awesome studio renovation!
Did you make any soundproofing to the ceiling?
Love it!

Where/how did you find a space like this in NYC? Looks like around City Ice Pavilion in Long Island City?
