These are often sparked by allegations of forced conversions of Hindus to Christianity. Several states have now enacted strict anti-conversion laws. You can't force a horse to drink water if it does not want to. No one can deceived anybody if the person faith is strong in his own religion. Let them decide. It is up to the individual's decision.

It’s clear that this man was not “forcing” anybody. I don’t even think he has enough power to do so in india, considering how he was beaten up, his church over taken by angry mobs, sent to the police, evicted from his home, children taken out of school, his church taken away. Various factors contributed to the growth of slavery system in Ancient India. In the Rig Vedic Age the Aryans who defeated the aborigines in battle and captured other contributory factors. According to Mann and Narada, they reduced to slavery. But slavery spread due to the fact that many slaves could be acquired by purchase. Children born of slave parents became slaves. Slaves could be mortgaged. A freeman could be reduced to slavery for committing crimes or for non-payment of debt. This is how the number of slaves multiplied. While in the Rig Vedic Age only war prisoners were reduced to slavery and there was only one class of slaves, in the Narada Smriti we hear of 15 types of slaves.

I am a tribal(native) from tribal area. I have seen missionaries taking advantage of poor tribal (native)people here.. asking them to convert in exchange for food and money. When my father died my mother was too contacted by them to convert and in exchange they will sponsor my education. My mother's elder sister was also contacted my missionaries with some offer. A girl from my aunt village my sick ,she was contacted my missionaries saying yeshu(Jesus) will save her if she convert to Christianity. She did it , missionaries sponser her medical expenses but she died. In short if u want to spread your religion use different method ,don't use this cheap tricks of fear mongering..
All r ok. But has anyone came to help them other than missionaries????? I don't support force conversion, but many do service to the poor in the right way .... Don't judge by one or two. And one thing, eventhough u didn't convert to Christianity, if u believe and ask Jesus, he will help u.

I’m a Hindu and i highly condemn any attacks on Minorities. True story: growing up I went to a catholic school and I have seen few Hindus converting to Christianity (catholic) and often time these poor families receive incentives etc. And I believe it’s a free world and people can join any religion they want but it’s unfortunate that some Missionaries want to change the demographics by converting illiterate people and mostly they do so by looking down on non-catholics.
I remember my catholic school teacher telling the naive class Hindus warship stones. which I think that statement was derogatory. Every religion deserves respect and it’s a sensitive issue especially in India. Much love and respect to everyone. Hope peace and democracy prevails.
Update: JTBC, some of my closest friends and teachers are catholics and I admire them for their service to society. No one should judge the whole community based on few crooks. It applies to every religion.

The Indian govt spends many times more on the temples than they receive.
Becoz hindu temples are not organized like churches or mosques..that is why its controlled by govt...

Is this caste quota in india really that high in percentage ? Cause I still believe people have their priviledge based on the condition they were born (place, family etc), for india I think caste is one of the factor.
They are millions of hindus in my country, but they compete fairly with any student without any "caste quota" since caste system was not that influential compared to that in india, therefore no priviledge for being born from higher caste here.

And I did it willingly and happily not because anyone gave me money,persuaded me or forced me but simply because I fell in love with Christ and knew that he is real. And I have met hundreds and thousands of Indian Hindus who have accepted Jesus similarly. I hope attacks on minorities stop. India is a secular country and the constitution gives us a right to convert to any religion.

This is disappointing. Dear respected people from India. Christianity is not something to be afraid off.
Its a foreign religion brought to our lands and imposed on us by Europeans who used it to destroy our indigenous culture and imposed their own culture on us. I myself am an irreligious person but you have to read India's history to see how Christianity and Islam have been used as tools for cultural genocide by foreign forces on our soil.
Even today American missionaries are funding forced conversions in the North East (Watch Karl Rock's video for better details). Recently a Hindu girl named Lavanya comitted suicide in Tamil Nadu because her School forced her to convert.
So of course many Indians will be afraid of these two doomsday cults.
