Im so glad you two pushed through to be together. I am almost 50 and have dealt with women who refuse to live their lives for themselves and it caused the relationship to destruct. I am too old to not live life on my own terms. Thank you for the inspiration.

I'm so happy you all got through the "pleasing the family" stage and chose your true selves when you did. I've been on that journey (my father's a pastor) for most of my life. I came out to them many years ago, but my personal journey to me has taken me well into my 50's. While I have no regrets, I'm aware of the healing that continues to take place in me around giving myself permission. Kudos to you all. You're a great inspiration. Thx for sharing!
