- Hi lovely friends! In this episode, we will show you what a laundry day in our expedition vehicle looks like. When you live full-time in an Rv, some basic stuff is important, especially related to the day-by-day chores. See how we do laundry and how we now can dry our clothes quicker when needed. We just received the Morus Zero Portable Dryer to test and we like it after the first test! It was exactly what was missing on our journey for bad or cold weather days. The dryer will dry the clothes, and we made sure that we ventilate the space when using the dryer inside due to humidity that will be created out of the back of the dryer. Like with all electric products we have to make sure that we don't use too much electricity. The dryer and the washer usage is approx. 1000 watts each. This is okay for us to do laundry. I use a Splendide washer/dryer combo in my RV and love it. I find that the secret to drying is to vent the machine…and not over filling the machine. It definitely makes my life easier on the road.

I'd really like to see the amount of energy used for a cycle (in kWh).
Personally I just use a dehumidifier and hang my clothes inside when it's damp or cold outside.
We tried that, but we always ended up with some smelly clothes and for us it was pretty annoying to have every 3 days in winter the bathroom full with clothes until it was all dry... Its takes more or less 1000 W and the drying time depends on the material and amount of clothes... In summer we will probably still hang... 😉😊

Mal ne frage ist das Größen Verhältnis des trockner zur meiner Meinungen nach eher kleinen Waschmaschine (trommel) nicht schwirig.
Wäre da nicht eine Waschmaschine mit mehr kg besser?
vor allem für euch die ja doch sehr lange weg sind.
Und noch eine Frage wie kommt ihr in die Heck Garage im Bezug auf schwerere Sachen wie Motorrad oder ähnliches.

Wow Australia how nice! The dryer takes between 1000 to 1300Watts, but it all depends on the program selected. Our washing machine is 3 kilos and we bought direct with our builder Krug XP, but the name of the machine is Eumenia, if you want to check online. 😉 We really like this duo now! 👍🏻 Good luck next year in your adventures... 🇦🇺🌏

Would using the dry balls help the clothes dry faster?
Yep! We learn later that using the balls reduce the time more or less in 40%. What is pretty cool!

In my opinion useless if the warm wet air is released on the back. In summer you can dry outside in almost the same time. If it is cold outside, you will have the humidity inside the car which would be a desaster. A heat pump dryer would save energy and condensates the energy.
To us it is an add on for bad weather days… for sure a proper ventilation is always needed when you dry clothes inside with or without dryer…the dryer is the faster version though to get back your needed space during bad weather…😂🍀 we thought of using it in the ventilated bathroom that is made for humidity when the weather really sucks…or in the garage with the doors open with better condition, but still not ok to hang clothes outside …
We looked into other dryers, but the ventilation is always needed even with the so cold “inside air” dryers…this version is nice for us because it has a reasonable size, it’s portable and we already have a 3 kg washing machine that fits perfectly to it 👍🍀🙏 if you really need it? I would say no, but it is really convenient when you live full time and want to just stay longer at a nice spot even the weather sucks or it is true cold 🥶 winter 🍀👍😀
