    I like how here in my seemingly 7th year in the Lord, I am reading this kinda the 7th time and God is beginning to connect the minor prophets and my life events.
    God is good!

    Good comparison between what people during Ezra's time experienced and that of believers in Christ. Thank you, Pastor Paul.

    Pastor Paul, thank you for the lessons. I listen to them as much as I can and especially when I am a little confused or need more explanations. I was at the book of Ezra today and decided to listen to your teaching on these chapters and felt God spoke to me. I pray for you and your congregation. Thank you again.

    This is exactly what I have been struggling with, I got on my knees and begged God to help me understand why I have been feeling this way and I flipped to a random page in my Bible and this is where I was lead. God is so good and patient and I want to take this time to say thank you. Thank you Jesus I love you and I will never give up.

    I was together with my partner before I was saved had a son with him . The first day I received Jesus as my lord and savior my relationship and faith has been under attack. My husband himself was a false convert never gave his heart to god but was baptized , he doesn’t believe in god 100% he doesn’t know gods word just what he has heard of god not by gods own words thru scripture. It is extremely hard as he thinks he knows what god stands for and repeatedly reminds me of what he believes god is. I must be strong and know the lords word and lead by example giving testimony of gods works in me everyday to not falsely represent what Jesus call for us to do by following him. I will never seize to pray for my husband that me and my house will serve god ❤️

    He says we are attracted to the world? I don't know that I completely agree with that. I don't love the world. In fact, I hate the world and destruction it causes. It disgusts me.
    There was a time this wasn't true. I did love the world. Or at least I thought I did. The truth is, even then it didn't provide the true satisfaction it promised. But as the blinders fell of and I began to see the truth, my heart changed. I no longer could do the things I once did, because I saw the futility, deception and destruction.
    I John 2:15-16 says ... Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
    I think this verse tells us if we still love the world ... maybe we need to take a close look at our where out hearts really are

    At 19:45, do you mean you pray for people who have gone wayward to have miserable lives so they will turn their lives to God? Wow, that's quite mean... That's not Christlike love... we should pray that they come back to God not have horrible things happen to them. Will you even pray this if it were your own children?

    • @PastorPaulLeBoutillier
      @PastorPaulLeBoutillier 6 років тому +25

      Hello! No, I would never pray for horrible things to happen to anyone. But we DO pray that people would sense the emptiness and futility of life apart from Christ. And in the Old Testament, we see God doing this over and over with Israel. When they became wayward, God would send the surrounding nations to literally make them miserable to remind them of how far they had moved away from a true devotion to God. Sometimes the bitterness of one's own choices are the only thing that will get them to stop and return to the Lord.

      @@PastorPaulLeBoutillier Amen. It took the bitterness and utter despair of the sin that I loved living in to bring me back to God. God gave me over to the sin I was in and it became an awful task master. Had I found joy and contentment in the sin I was in, I would've died chasing it. I was completely delusional while I was in it. By God's grace and mercy, the when the season of death that sin brings came about, I was so broken before him, that I immediately realized that i was in way over my head.
