Larpool Viaduct carried the railway which headed towards Scarborough. There was another railway line on that slope which headed towards West Cliff Station via Prospect Hill Junction

Whitby has been on television about what the small seaside town in North Yorkshire and with people buying “2nd homes” in Whitby. And the viaduct is so tall as the train went underneath it.
