One thing to know about moving to DC is noise is always going to be a thing so you really can’t base your choice on noise level or construction if you really want city living. But im happy you’re moving to DC you will love it
CONGRATULATIONS girlll 🎉🥳🥳 I am soo soo happy for you! Your story is a testimony that seasons are not permanent and to always hold on to hope. Aahhh excited for you and upcoming vlogs, byee going to share some tears of joy for you 🥹🤍🎉
It’s great to see new styled apartment spaces in Washington DC. They represent a radical paradigm shift because Washington 50+ years ago was more old-world vintage southern elegance. Times and technology have brought different opportunities for the Nation’s Capital to be something other than staid, but the serious boundaries will always define its growth potential as there is not the typical space to expand. There was a time when Fairfax Village in southeast was very suburban and Pennsylvania Avenue began just a Southern Avenue, and on a full moon night one could spot deer roaming the wooded three blocks between DuPont and Davis Parks and Suitland. Those were the country days. Your apartment choices are very interesting. Please consider working with that one next to Amtrak. You can use headphones when you need concentration, plus you will be reminded of taking a brief getaway to either Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, or Boston for a break from the Washington scene. ITNOJ, MOJ.
Good luck Brelynn. Shoot I would ask some neighbors (if they’re out and about) how they like the apartments you viewed. Congrats on everything and thanks for documenting your journey.
Brelynn I’m so excited to see you back uploading again 💗 can’t wait to see this new season of your life. I’m thinking about going back to school for my 1st masters too, I definitely should get a solid plan together for that. Thanks for being an inspiration 🫶🏾
I lived in DC decades ago and had loved it. I lived close to Adam's Morgan at the time, & it was great walking distance to eateries and grocery stores. Indeed you're always going to have Noise because of the condensed space and everything now is built taller to fit more people into smaller areas. (Gentrification). So even if you don't find everything you want, get everything as close as you can. It will happen the same way when you purchase your 1st home.
I’m well aware of noise in a city, but living near a train or the stadium is even noisier than normal and not a smart decision for me and my preferences right now, in my opinion.
@@BrelynnHunt Especially for the goals that you have set in mind!! But being able to have a comfort level of a place that you come home to every single day is crucial. I hope that you have the greatest peace in The Choice that you made, and a space where rest is not optional, but a pleasure!
I’m not what time of day you visited Rowan but it most definitely in an hustle and bustle area Monday through Friday… Union is also hustle and bustle area, parking is awful in that area. You most definitely will be waking up and going to sleep with ambulance and cops every day all day with the apartment options you are looking. Keep in mind they are building up everywhere in Washington DC where you are looking, so you are going to see construction every time you turn your head. Maybe look in The Foggy Bottom/ Georgetown, Wisconsin Ave., Connecticut Ave., American University areas
I'm also from Maryland (not tooooo far from DC) but I do plan on moving to DC after I'm down with law school. I toured Union Place and yessss there was lot going on when I went !!!
I live in navy yard. No to Bixby and no no no to parc riverside. I’m a native DC girl. I know my city.😁also don’t know your situation but check into inclusionary zoning so you won’t have to pay market rates in these luxury buildings
Everytime I just look to see what's new out there I just close the browser....it's just too much money... especially for the sq. ft....I live right on the border of MD/DC.
I live in the upper NW area Close to MacArthur/Chevy Chase line Try ppl who are renting their condos on Capital Hill Pray that you get exactly what you are looking for🙏🏽♥️🙏🏽♥️.
I could not here if you mentioned this or not because it's soooooo noisey in here... but I think that part of the reason why you had such bad experiences at the Bixby and the Harlow is because they are sister apartments run by the same folks...
So proud of my little Spelman Sister. I’m a DC barred attorney. One day I want to move to DC. I am excited to see this journey.
