the tiles were really good, they're old, but the style has a retro charm. what I don't get is the appeal of those *beige* tiles that seemed to be everywhere in houses built in the 80s and early 90s. They look horrible now but I wonder were they considered to be 'in' at any point?

I really loved the dark walls, but as soon as a stamps came out I was totally skeptic. Once they were on the wall and the room was pulled together, I absolutely loved them! They looked a lot like moons and that's probably why I liked it. It took a very basic look and really transformed it into something really unique.
Love the projects you did on this one. The paint color was a great choice. Not sure about those stamps, the only thing I think is cool about them is that they have a moon like texture.

Super cool tools!!! I do not need clothes, jewelry, surprisingly no more shoes (maybe another pair of work boots to be safe), but I definitely feel like I need all of the tools used in this project. My husband is afraid he will come back home to no exterior walls, or chimney...lol (he is not wrong at all!!!) Super cool ideas. I love them all. Thanks for sharing.

I really love Monica’s design style and ability to envision a place and put it all together! 😊 I’m glad the family liked this renovation, but I kinda wish there was like a small step or something that the little boys could climb onto to see their cute faces in the mirror ☺️

Right now it looks cute but that wood top won't last long with use. "Vessel" sinks make it hard to keep water off the 'counter.' They're cute but not practical. They can always replace the counter with something more water proof and maybe an undermount sink, eventually. Have to raise the top but, doable. As far as the decor goes, I like the copper piping and the dark wall but I'd have to paint over the "bubbles." Too busy, and doesn't make sense with the rest of the decor, I think. The panda art is cute and without the bubbles, a different/simpler light. Oh, well. It looks like, I'd change a lot. lol... Love the idea of the bamboo plant, Nicolle. Always have to be careful to not get too themey but I think it would work. I agree with Crane S... A tall plant in the corner. There! Now that we've totally messed the whole thing up... Well done.
Overall I love this. Just wondering why the corners of the vanity weren't rounded (ouch!) and if there was a step stool so the boys could see themselves. Also what was the door between the toilet and the tub for?
Daylight bulbs are the best, it's pure white light. They're the best choice for a bathroom or any room you plan to do stuff in(maybe not the living room or dining room) but they're pretty harsh too.

omg i freaking LOVE it!!! Why did I not think of copper pipes for a shower rod? that is soooo cool. I really want to do that. And I really want to make a sink/vanity like that too. oh wow i just can't believe what you did with that ugly bathroom. it's totally gorgeous now! and now i feel like maybe i can even change a lighting fixture, too.
I liked most of this but I have to admit I'm not a fan of those "bubbles". It really didn't go with that great tile and wonderful bath. I also think the kids need a mirror that they can use, even if it's a temporary one. A solution could perhaps be one of those shaving mirrors that extend out from a wall mount and retract when not needed?
Caught you, Monica! The shower rod was beautiful, but I wonder if anybody else realized that you soldered the tee fitting on upside-down? Ah, the miracle of off-camera production. Still, it was very creative and not something I would have thought to use for a shower rod. Even this old dog can learn some new tricks! Love, Love, Love the Weekender series!
