This is my own personal opinion as a health coach. But I'd love to hear your experience if you have done the Tracy Anderson method. Let me know in the comments

Hey Emma, Tracy not talking makes the workouts meditative. It’s an hour of headspace a day and it becomes a beautiful conversation between you and your body. It’s a holistic approach to fitness, she incorporates strength, cardio and flexibility training. It’s great for proprioception and balance training and it takes the stress out of fitness. You get your workout each week and you get better at it everyday. It’s not for everyone but the results speak for themselves

Hey Nicola thanks for your input and it's great that you have found something that you love and that works for you. I am all for the holistic approach to fitness and i believe it's something that we could all do with more of in our workouts. Like I said in the review, I am taking some elements into my own workouts but in the style that I prefer to move. I certainly didn't hate it.
I appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

You have definitely have valid points for sure. For some reason her method is the only workout I've ever enjoyed and look forward to do doing. I love the slower, focused movements on the mat (I was a teenager during Jane Fonda's workout era 😂). I don't do the online program, I went old school and bought the Metamorphosis DVD program. I don't do it 6 times a week but incorporate it with a few days a weel of cardio. I don't do traditional strength training (because I hate it) as I consider TA bodyweight exercises and they definitely increase my strength and make me feel strong and I love the coordination and focus they require. Thanks for your video, I'm going to check out more of your vids for some nutrition help 😊

Thanks for sharing your experience. Like I said in the video, there are certainly some parts of it I did enjoy. I really think the important part is that you have something that you enjoy and works for you. And I appreciate the subscription, I have some more video's in the pipeline so hope to give you more useful content that you will enjoy. I appreciate you being here.

I live the online studio so much better than the metamorphism work outs but the price of $90 a month kills me. I agree I love her workouts. Only ones I have ever loved. I hate strength training, I love working out from my clean home and not going to a gym. Even though there maybe better options online. Studio had been a great addition to my life 😊

Hi Emma , i wanted to add my uk 2pence worth lol! ( or it may be 90 dollars worth LOL) i discovered tracy in pandemic. started it but couldnt afford to continue, i have returned to it this year as i realised i want something convenient and i have to admit it litterally is the ONLY work out i looked forward to and enjoy. Returning to it i went straight into intermediate as i felt it was more interesting and challenging. Begginner really is a starter point to get the correct form understand the flow and movement.
in terms of no verbal ques, i love that - the little added bleeps to know she is changing moves is good. what i find is blind in the first few sessions of new week content is hard so a lot of checking have i got this hand right? which leg is going up etc - however by the end of week you know what moves are coming. i
do agree with the connecting with yourself on the mat and not staring or straining to look at her. i put my laptop on floor in front incase i want to check what im doing - but i mostly connect with myself and the movements. this is the ONLY excercise where i push myself to not stop the reps - i have done gym, pilates class etc and usually end up collapsing and quitting a move easily. alone on my mat at home i do tend to focus on my core, my inner strength.
i dont know what coolaid she is selling but whatever it is - it is working for me! i have a better relationship with my body somehow! i am tracking my calories and making other lifestyle changes around this, but for the first time i accept that this is not a race to weight loss, toned arms and abs, this is commitment to myself and is going to be a long term change i need to do for myself. call me mad but i do it 7 days a week. 1 hr intermediate, however this sunday i was on a shift at work ( work in care home) and i took half hour break and did beginner in the office mainly as i was too lazy to get up at 6am and do it before i came to work on a sunday shift LOL!
in terms of fitting in with my life and family, i work it into my life the best i can. sometimes i do it with family around doing there thing and i just some how still manage to focus on what i am doing and incorperate that it is 1 hr our of my day for myself. i
think you may tell i am a bit of a convert! it has become very addictive but in a positive way. i dont dread doing it ( like i did going for a morning run or gym after work) and i cant tell you the countless times i tried to talk myself out of going to gym, but getting myself there and then doing a half assed work out because i just had no joy in it at all. this really has changed my enjoyment with movement exercise and even in some of the strenuous moves and the burn that you feel its not a hatred for the move.
by the end of the week i am always excited for the change up of the next weeks routine and that does keep it fresh. overall people either love or hate tracy.
my biggest dislike - MYMODE and the fact it is over 5k plus £800 import charges meaning its for the elite or those with credit cards willing to be paying off for years. that to me has made me feel that there is an incredible amount of greed that comes with success of a method - however i will remain a tracy fan of the work outs and hope that feedback from her general public clients that are the ones paying for streaming -
are slightly miffed that they are " shut out" of the new content of mymode . personally the staff and pick euipment and class for example, she could make those work outs available to us at home and ask us to utilise a broom handle for example .- not shut us out of the content because we dont have the MYMODE euipment bundles.
over all i am a lover of the method and maybe its just not right for everyone, or maybe it requires more time than the 2 week trial for everything to click into place to fully feel connected with the method :) x

Hey Natalie, thanks so much for sharing your experience. I can totally see why you have come to love it and really love that you have found something that works so well for you. You have connected with the movement and your body, and that is really what makes any movement work.
I think you may be right also about getting into the flow of the sessions. I only tried 2 of the workouts and so it was still new, maybe I would have felt more ease with it over time.
I think the greed and exclusivity of it is something that bugs me. It's not an inclusive workout, it's for the wealthy who can afford to pay the fee's.
Keep going strong if it's working for you. I appreciate your input.

Yes 100% reminds me of the 80s 😂. If I had heard any of her promotions or talking about the body etc. I would never have done it. But i started just doing some youtube stuff on mute and i liked that it was like pilates but more reps.
I think resistance with your own body weight can achieve great results.
There arent a lot of studies but some that look at yoga and pilates have shown the results for bone health to be promising.

Yes it took me right back to the 80's lol. And it's great that you have found what works for you and something that you enjoy, that is really the most important part.

I think only doing two sessions wouldn’t show anything. Maybe you came to this review with your own preconceived opinions so I don’t think this a fair review. She’s no different then f45 or Barry’s workouts their all selling 😅

Yes! Good commentary! Did her program for 6 years but I have always lifted heavy weight 3 to 4 times a week. My legs benefited, but I was also walking two dogs everyday and working out with Cathe Friedrich an Awesome at home workout programs.I don’t agree with her 3 pounds only, I’m 71...... You have to lift weight to be strong to not break bones! Ithe Metamorphosis program is good.but gym style hard core is the best way to not have to diet Muscle burns fat!

There's definitely criticisms to be made of TA, for sure. However LOL to the summary that doing TA is really about a "flex" to say that you do an expensive, trendy workout when you're video here is totally just a carrot to get people to click because it has "TA" in it. LOLOLOL I was genuinely interested in your opinion until I see that you did ONE beginner, ONE intermediate only. That's not doing the trial, sis. Got my click/view tho, so maybe don't hate the player so hard, player.

    • @emmacolseynicholls1
      @emmacolseynicholls1  Рік тому

Well yes, maybe it wasn't a complete trial you are absolutely right. I wanted to workout as it kept on showing up on my feed and I was genuinely intrigued and thought it would make an interesting video. But after doing it a couple of times, though I did like some elements of it, it just really wasn't my jam and I didn't feel inspired to want to keep on doing it. Plus I wasn't willing to pay the price once my free trial was over. I appreciate your click/view and genuinely appreciate your comment as it helps to guide me to see what people want more of from a review-type video in the future.
