Great video.I made about 40 faux glass bottle lamps using gallery glass over 2 years ago and they have not faded.
I can't believe I found you!! I never forgot you on Amazing Discoveries!! This woman is a legend in the Arts & Crafts industry!
This link should be on all Gallery Glass packages. Thank you
wonderful glass liner. thanx for uploading.
Using a guide underneath in the same way will help maintain a straight line.
i remember seeing her on amazing discoveries when I was a kid! i remember this and purrfect punch!
Wow cool shirt.
I have some liquid lead and when i went to use it, it was very runny and will not form a good line. what can i do to thicken it up?
You are beautiful Carol and you do beautiful work :D BIG HUGS
Wow, you make it look easy. My set has just gone in the bin, it’s a mess. Hopefully others are better than me, I’m not a craft / art person I guess.
Hi, Can you tell me where I can purchase your products here in Western Australia. Thank you.
But will it work if you lay a ruler beside the lead for straight lines or will it adhere to the ruler and create a mess?
So these paints are safe for children to use?
Interesting.. ive never even heard of leading before, but I want to make a faux stained glass window on plexiglass ;)
Thank you for this video you make it look easy but i cannot do lines that straight. Do they sell this product outside the States? I am using Pebeo outlines but the paste gets stuck inside the tube, I am looking for a good product to replace it. Cheers
I did a beautiful art on my back door, though 12 yrs. ago I was able to peel it off carefully to a new window after the old window got shattered.
Mam can I use a plastic sheet instead of that kind of paper for lead outline??
Are there any art rooms so people can show what they done ?
"keep your tip clean"
Words to live by...
What is that special tracing paper or faux transferable stick on paper called?
Do you have to use those sheets?
Can I use any type of leading?
I have a VERY HARD TIME getting the lead to flow. its like its too thick.
Having the same problem doesn’t come out too thick.
I painted a window 4 years ago and have been trying to remove it and having no luck it melted have any ideas
Do you have to bake the glass in the oven after doing this leading process? I don't want to colour in the glass with other leading paints, I just want the outlines with this bottle product.
No you do not bake gallery glass products
Hi Carol where can I get these items from please.....can I buy them in a complete kit form??
A friend of mine has done this a few years ago, and wants to start it again, but she doesn't know where to buy the lead/paints, and reusable sheets from, I'm helping by looking for her. Hope you can help us too?

I am having problems with my gallery glass lead liquid it comes out in globs it’s too thick . Is there away to thin it out.
It sounds like your paint may be old, it can thicken over time. Please see your other comment for call/email details.
Where do you find those lead blanks to copy on. I can't find them anywhere.
Hobby Lobby
I'm attempting this but mine comes out in kind of globs, it doesn't flow as nicely as shown?
Is it thick paint, or bubbles?
@@plaidcrafts it seems the nozzle keeps getting blocked by stringy chunks as if the paint inside has dried at points, but I was using a bottle I just opened on the same day and kept the tiny lid on whenever not in use. It's quite tricky to smoothly continue a straight outline after having a blockage and having to fish it out 😕 Otherwise I've had a stellar experience with the paints so I came here to see if there was something I was doing wrong in my project
I have been trying to use the lead adhesive tape from Plaid but no matter what I have done it will not stick. I have cleaned with glass cleaner and alcohol. What am I doing wrong?
Gallery Glass Redi-Lead does have an adhesive backing to it which will adhere to clean glass. It seems you are preparing the glass appropriately with glass cleaner and then rubbing alcohol. My questions to you are: 1. Is there a sticky or tacky surface to the Redi-Lead backing? 2. What is the temperature of your window? Because it is still winter, perhaps your window is too cool to accept the adhesive.
Thank you for responding. I am working on a bottle so the bottle is about 70 degrees at least and there is a sticky surface on the Redi-Lead backing.
How do you do straight lines with liquid lead?
Depending on if your doing glass hung, or on a flat work surface. On a table with the glass and design fastened with tape behind it, always use a horizontal attempt at it because your hands are more coordinated that way.
Isn't lead bad for you? or is that only if eaten? (who would eat lead!?)
pretty much everything made by this company and everything that Carol is associated with, is water based and non toxic.
Does anyone know a good source for the Liquid 'Lead, it's evidently not being made anymore.
I've seen it at Hobby Lobby but if they indeed stop making it watch some videos on tinting elmers glue and using that in place of liquid leading.
It is still being made, these times have just brought about an unprecedented consumer demand for the products we make and Plaid is working 24/7 at our manufacturing facility here in Georgia to get caught up. Trucks are leaving our warehouse every day, so please keep checking your local stores and online sources! We have heard that many Hobby Lobby stores currently have it in stock in person, if not online.
Yes, I was at my local Hobby Lobby today and they happen to stock it in the same aisle with the real stained glass supplies. Yay!
My god, an advertisement before the advertisement. Major fail.
And grip the tube like a.... Pole on a bus.
