Life is a bit busy and I am a full time nurse but I will try my best to upload more videos as often as I can. Rest assured these videos will be fun and enjoyable. And hopefully you'll join me on these journey.

Thank you for the video, if the patient has eaten less than 2 hours ago maybe 1 hour ago.. will I verbalize to wait till after 2 hours before taking the post meal blood glucose.

My advise: GIVE WHAT IS ASKED.
If the document is asking for your signature, then sign it.
If it's asking for your initial, then write your initial.
READ the prescription/scenario carefully and document appropriately.

Yes.
Part of the marking criteria is verbalising that the hand is visibly clean.otherwise, you have to clean them hand/fingers before you prick the patient with the lancet.

Hi, thank you for your video. Just wanted to ask, is date not included in the documentation based on the document the you showed?
Good question. This prescription or scenario does not says date on it. (This was a typographical error. It should be DATE and TIME on that column.) Anyways, in the real NMC Document, it includes DATE and TIME, BLODD GLUCOSE LEVEL, NAME & SIGNATURE. Hope this helps.

Mam in begining is it compulsory to do hand wash with soap water or is alcohol is also acceptable????
Hello.
It depends on the scenario.
Different skills station have different marking criteria. If unsure about gelling or washing hands, stick to washing hands. Unless otherwise the examiners tells you otherwise. As you know, there are exam centres that does not have sink on there stations, the assessors only asks the candidate to pretend that they are washing hands whilst gelling hands.
I suggest you know which skills requires hand gel first or handwashing first.make a list, otherwise, always do handwashing in the beginning.
