those pics are amazing bro, as a fellow photographer and japan enjoyer it’s super cool to see those shots. also your video editing is absolutely hilarious i almost choked on my shrimp during your reenactment of the whole common area noise thing
I have already been in Japan alone for three months on vacation, but I want to go to study there in uni as an exchange student for 1 year in 1-2 years too❤ Ty for the video
I'm applying for a year in Japan as a high-school student, and so not all of these apply to me, but this video just makes me even more hopeful for getting accepted!
just binged all the vlogs lol these shits are high quality man, i appreciate your passion for this and i hope you get like a billion subscribers one day you deserve it, and also japan looks so fucking cool
I'm also studying in Montreal, McGill, and I really want to do my exchange semester in Japan. I just hope my language skills won't hold me back tbh. Thank you for this video!
0:07 I SEE SOUND VOLTEXXXXXX (i competitively play arcade rhythm games, and am just an arcade nerd in general, My main is ddr, and 9:34 yep Im always mainly just at the rhythm game section since thats my main arcade game genre rn) nah but seriously this is a great video man, definetly am thinking on some of this but still giving it time, planning to do a year here in the next year or two in the states first studying composition and probably will study that abroad too
You said you took easy classes because you wanted to get the most out of your time in Japan. I want to visit all parts of Japan and see every bit of it, but not sure if going there as an exchange student will limit me from actually visiting the country. How were you able to make your schedule only for 2 days a week? Is that common and easy to do? What about the homework load? How much time did you have to spend per week on studies? Knowing these will help me decide if I can achieve my goal of exploring Japan through exchange better or through visiting like a visitor better! Thank you so much
Choosing your schedule wisely answers all these questions! Just take the time to check the classes that have an easier workload & fit into a nice schedule and you'll be able to have more time to do things:)
Could you make a video about photography/film and how to get started with that. (Equipment and tips etc) 😊😊😊 especially interested in nighttime photography!!
I wanna apply to a japanese school for some months but I am not sure for how long I should go. Should it be as long as a year or only 3 months, that is what I am trying to figure out. Also at 11:00 how did you do that? Were you just able to say I just want to go to school for those 2 days or?
Dude I’m going for a small exchange tomorrow to Japan and I don’t know Japanese and apparently the kid I’m staying with said his family can’t speak English and that he’s bad at English. I am literally screwed 😭
I since this video was posted a year ago, the chances of you seeing this question won't be high, but how did you make money in Japan? lol If you do see this, this video was really helpful 😁
hi! i'm going to Tokyo NEXT WEEK, also to study at Sophia. can you believe that? me neither. i'm so freaking excited, it's gonna be the BOMB. a dream come true at 21. i'm very thankful for your videos. hope to have the same great experience you had. + let's see if i respond to my own comment in a few months and how everything's going for me then 🪰
Great video, keep it up! :) I'm considering doing an exchange semester in Tokyo next fall and have the option to choose between Tokyo University, Keio, Hitotsubashi, and Rikkyo. My main goals are to experience the city, enjoy student life, and travel. Would you say the workload at Tokyo University is high? Do you think all of these are good choices for what I'm looking for, or are there any you would recommend or suggest avoiding? I study Business Economics/Management, so I will be selecting courses related to that field.
so you were an exchange college student right? i wanna be an exchange student too, but i didnt know if i should study duolingo japan a bunch or nah thank you.
Thank you for the video :) I arrived four days ago and its been a WILD ride so far. I have Sophia University students in my dorm and they are the nicest people! I choose my classes on Monday and I hope to have a schedule as easy as yours! Good luck with your finance degree back home. How do you feel now that you're back at home? Is there anything you particularly miss from Japan?
Hii! Thanks for video! I want to go to Japan as an exchange student, but I don’t know what program should I choose, it’s also quite hard for me because I live in the Uk but originally I’m from Ukraine and I have Ukrainian passport, all programs that I saw were for Us/Australian kids, so maybe you know any other programs or you can give me some advices if it’s not difficult for you ;))
The easiest way is to contact your home University and ask if they have exchange programs with universities in Japan. And then search the options they have and add on Google "exchange program" that search will give you the dates, procedures and hopefully classes too
I am planning to go to Japan Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 and a video about Japan - to me atleast - can never be long enough ^^ This was so informative since I stopped going to school but plan on going back and would love to experience student life there! Were there exchange students from different ages or were you all around the same age (I am asking because i am 26 and don’t know if it’s common for exchange students to be of different ages)? 👀
Great video...... I'm considering going on an exchange as well, however I would only be 19. I know they have a big drinking culture there so I was wondering if you recon being underage would affect my experience?...... were there lots of 18/19 yr olds at uni that just found other things to do??
I havent seen your vlogs so I don't know but how was your communication with japanese people? I've heard they are not the best English speakers. The second question is did you study Japanese and if so is it easier to learn it while being in a country with natives? sorry if my english is bad or im making some mistakes but im studying it still 😔😔
yo thanks so much for making this video, im studying abroad next spring semester at Waseda in Shinjuku, any tips on socialization? Im going with around a 1.5 years of Japanese language experience by then, let me know if you have any advice! all the best bro 💪
By chance do you go to George Mason University? I've been thinking about studying abroad at Sofia University through GMU's study abroad there. Nice video!

Thank you! I honestly was happy with one semester, towards the end I was missing being home and had done most of what I wanted to do (it was also getting pretty expensive lol)
Did you ever think about studying abroad for a year? I def want to Study abroad in Japan but I am unsure if a semester would be enough time to imemrse myself and see everything I want to see. But it sounds like it was enough time for you lol. Did you want to stay toward the end or were you ready to go home?
Tbh i wanted to, but im glad i didnt! By the end of my exchange i was missing home and had done everything i wanted to accomplish. You def have enough time, it just depends on how much you dedicate to school:)
@@patcantfilm interesting. Did you go in the fall or spring? My school offers Sophia in the Spring, but Sophia's semester starts in early April and ends in august, meaning I wouldn't have much of a summer break which I'm ngl is worrying lol.
as someone whos also planning an exchange to sophia university ive been finding your vids super chill and helpful so thanks a lot for making them!! im curious tho, i realize you went during the fall semester - would you recommend it over the spring semester? do you have any insider info on the pros and cons of each? any advice would be really appreciated!!
Thanks man! For me, I would have honestly preferred to go during the spring semester since I would've gotten to see the cherry blossoms, better weather and it didn't interfere with my school as much cuz it would be summer afterwards when I come back.
@@patcantfilm about fall semester, I was curious about the overlapping semesters, do you miss any classes or are there arrangements for international students?
