I live in Central Florida and picked this up at Walmart thinking it was a regular lemon tree. The picture on the tag was very misleading as it looked like a traditional lemon! But I'm glad that it's going to be a unique addition to my garden 😊. I put lemon on everything and I love making homemade lemonade with some mint leaves, and a touch of Monk fruit sweetener or stevia extract

Oh nice find!! unless they have a pic of the lemon next to something for scale, then it would just look like a lemon...lol, very misleading! but a great find!

@@GreenthumbsGarden There are a lot of ways:
You can peel the outer yellow layer, and cut it into pieces (the white and the heart) You can eat them with a little salt (or sugar).
You can make refreshing juice with sugar and mint (you can with or without the white layer)
We are waiting for you to film your experience again

I didn't know what these were lol i moved to a house with this tree already planted. There's tons of them already on the tree. Also, oranges growing from the same tree. California btw

We have one too and it has grafted on to the orange tree next to it as well. In our opinion the fruit doesn't really taste like lemon...too bitter.

I wonder if this is what I have in my garden. The skin is sweet-smelling, but veeeerrry sour flesh inside. Some say inedible. But it’s not as it as the ponderosa (in South Africa)

  • @Linguae_Music

Uhm, if a fruit is modly you shouldnt eat any part of it...
The compounds from the mycellium will propogate through the rest of the fruit by brownian diffusion.

Granted, its just a penicillium, so it's probably fine!
