I love chainsaw man so much, to this day it's the only anime that I've actually bought the physical manga instead of reading digitally, and I'm so excited for the movie. Also excited to in many ways re-experience it vicariously through your reaction to the movie and hopefully season 2 whenever that comes out.
I'm always pleasantly surprised at your discussions in your videos, they're always something I find to be wise and rooted in life experience. Keep it up man!
If you want to understand the themes and story building that Chainsaw man is leading to, watch the movie Look Back, which is based on a deeply personal story from the same author and just under a hour. Look Back and his other works cemented the author as one of my favorite mangakas of all time.
@@AGoodwinTV Great, it's my favorite movie of 2024 and a great example of the author's writing ability that is somewhat hidden under all the Shounen craziness in Chainsaw man that there is a underlining thread of depth and character growth for each character in the story.
I had the hottest girl ever become my girlfriend and then she left forever and yeah I haven't talked to her and I'm very sad sometimes. Anyway great reaction I can't wait for the movie
as a manga reader - yall ain't ready, but neither am I XD. This arc onward is just peak after peak, and to see it all in full color and motion is going to be amazing.
Honestly it's really appropriate to get a movie for this arc. It's beloved (not my fav but the community loves it and the action honestly will benefit from it), it's too short for half a season but very important, and the rest of CSM that absolutely must be adapted is way too big for one season unless you remove the Reze arc: First season was 38 chapters, Reze arc is 39 to 52 so only 14 chapters, and then the rest that must be adapted together is 53 to 97 so 44 chapters. Slightly longer than season 1 but not by much. Of course that's merely my prediction of what they want to do but the movie confirms that they've been working on the same issue I had been wondering about (that the rest of what they need to adapt right now is too big for one season similar to the first, but too small for two seasons. Hence why 1 movie and 1 season would work imo).
This show gets significantly better immediately after S1's content, which always makes me a bit sad that it was only a 1 cour season - anyone who drops the show will not know the true greatness. But anyways this movie looks awesome and will definitely deliver!
"and ranting" is such a good suffix for this channel, i giggled quite a bit when i saw it, you know exactly what everyone is here for!

I'll take it! Just happy there's more
Wasn't expecting a trailer reaction, but also since you might see this. Watch 'Shinsekai Yori' you might like it
Lmao, great resume of the game Catherine.
I cannot wait for this movie. Between this and the final Madoka Magica Movie, this will be my year!
A Fujimoto style femme fatale made by some of the most skilled animators in the industry? I’m locked in 🔐

@@loganshalloe5927 that's always crazy for me to hear when I already like a show. Can't wait
Are you gonna wait till it streams to react to it? It shouldn’t take too long after the movie comes out
@@DirtFather407 yeah will need it to come to one of the platforms first
