I like your recaps. I started watching Oak Island in 2020. But for some reason, I can't get into it this year. In fact, your recaps are the only ones I really pay attention to. So, it's up to you. I may not post anything else, but I am liking your videos.
just when i'm getting into it, your recaps are the saving grace of this show that borders on frustrating reality television. There's a real mystery there underneath the 'drama' and your channel has always been perfect canadiana. Please get 30k views video.
Your narration on all the subjects you cover is always a joy to watch and listen to. Personally I'm a fan of your oak island work and would love you to carry on pls, I will share and recommend you to anyone who listens to me!

I think your reviews are better than the show itself. Curse of Oak Island has a way of teasing big discoveries that don't amount to much. I know it is a great deal of work to produce each video, so I understand wanting to put your efforts into topics more popular with your audience. Perhaps this season isn't worth giving your full attention to every episode? But, I hope you will keep producing video updates.
I just want to see my dad loves to watch oak Island and he actually is just watching the reruns but watching your commentaries on the show has made it that I can help him understand what was going on she had just had heart surgery and one of the things that he looks forward to the most is watching the Thursday reruns of oak Island thank you for what you're doing
LOVE your videos that summarise what happened in the episode. It puts it in perspective and makes things clear, through great graphics and your knowledge on the subject. Please keep it up. Since the first season, I've kind of forgotten some aspects of the dig, being 10 years later. Is there any chance you could do a video summation of the basics, with lots of graphics (like what the money pit looked like in 1796 when it was dug to 90 feet and include flood tunnels and the new tunnel they've currently been following... and when they discovered that pond where the bubbles came up. I need perspective)? I know it's a big request, but others will find it very interesting, I'm sure. It might have the effect of garnering interest in the new season when they are reminded of the leaps and bounds made in the seasons of this show. I say 10 minutes because I feel it's the perfect length.... and lots of graphics as this is what captured my attention and imagination back in about 1975 when I read an article about the treasure in my mums readers digest. PLEASE consider this, and if nothing else, it will put a bookend in this sort of video if you decide to stop doing this sort of video.... thanks for your consideration. A great show and the history alone is fantastic, you must stay and finish the whole show as there is still so much to learn and find. And there has to be treasure somewhere on the Island. Please keep going to the end.

Every moment has been over for months, the only thing they're close to is another season of turning a 30 min synopsis of the seasons finds into a season of stretched out and over hyped nonsense. Chicken little lost his audience too.

UNFORTUNATELY, without all the limitless funding from all the different sources including the Province of Nova Scotia, the Government of Canada, etc..., none of any of the past ten years (i.e. excavations, searches, trips overseas, etc...) would have occurred. Remember, the Oak Island search had stopped and gone dormant until the Laginas, et al arrived on the scene. This sensation-oriented Reality TV show turned into something that it probably wasn't originally intended and I have a love/hate relationship with the show, but I guess its better than the island sitting dormant with no searcher activity occurring.
@@johnwoa the complexity of the quest, the permit processes and guidance is actually reasonably liberal for this project. Their mission has the benefit of documented centuries of diggings, as well as consolidated land ownership. I cant imagine any other coastal search ever being allowed by anyone other then major Academic searches. As I said, Something of major value or a great secret had to be there for the endeavor. Even today, can you imagine having to send a few ships 1800 nautical miles for coconut fiber? Someone smart enough for this construction didn't plan on the treasure (?) being there for long or wood would not have been the primary cribbing. But to negate my own theory- Black Beard Treach felt He'd successfully parley his freedom. I'm still hungry for resolution. I just am turned off by the production style and producers certain meddling. In another time, the team would have had that island completely dug. Environmentally and aesthetically they're handcuffed.
They are running out of money because there's nothing there they will never find what's not there 🙏🏽there's a better chance of hearing about how the pyramids were built 🙏🏽

I really love the research and work that you've put in on this entire series, I especially love the narration and the incredible graphic arts illustration that accompanies your presentations - it's all very fun, exciting and insightful. In fact, sometimes I wish that the History Channel program "Curse of Oak Island' would do a better job of visually recapping historical events and site locations on the island the way that you do. Thank you for your work, please continue producing these extremely high value videos.
I like the oak Island mystery but I don't watch the show. I do watch your videos to keep up on what's going on and I like them quite a lot. The pictures really help with understanding what's going on, and theres no reality tv drama. All that said, I'm not biting my nails waiting week to week, yet after the video ended I find I want to know more. And sometimes I wait for multiple videos to binge watch. maybe do a longer whole season recap at the end of the year, I know I would watch that.

I wish they would just do a 2 hour documentary every year cutting straight to the point and getting rid of all the filler. (and the narrator!) That being said, this season does look like it has potential.

What if the Garden Shaft was the ground breaker or ender in the tunnel system? It's always been my theory that Oak Island was a hub for pirate activity that the island was used as a hiding place to bury stolen treasure or artifacts from different countries and the new world was a perfect hiding place. They can bury the loot very quickly and hide inland in NS so it is very possible that the treasure they do find is from another later depositor like "Blackbeard"

If you stop making videos, it would be a shame - I think there are more people like me who haven't seen your videos but once they do, they would find them helpful. This show - The Curse of Oak Island - is one of my all time favorites. I would sure love to see a video of the "History" behind the Garden Shaft. I just don't understand why they have taken 10 years to investigate something so obvious on the island... unless I'm wrong. I haven't seen every show ever made. You do a lot of interesting work. I'd suggest reporting on Oak Island ONLY when there is something very interesting, which hasn't been the case for years now.
HP.... I think you will find season 10 to be very compelling. You will see history being CORRECTED and if indeed this mystery involved the Templars what would compel them to SEQUESTER something in such a fashion? I believe that the Ark is on OI and the Templar Knights had no desire to personally recover it. They were on a mission for God and when He wants this "treasure" revealed to him us it will happen. I believe this will happen soon.

Your low viewership numbers may be due to the algorithm - I have not been getting recommendations for this season at all and I’m not sure I even get updates when you post a COOI summary although I do for your other vids 🤷♂️
It’s really hard to take the marketing tease of that show seriously- “There have been rumors of tremendous treasure giving people gold fever for over 200 years but now they are about to find it!” Ten years later: “There have been rumors of tremendous treasure giving people gold fever for over 200 years and we’ve been milking this cash cow for ten years now but they are still about to find it!” Your presentation is better than the show- I’d rather hear what you have to say than see you degrade yourself reviewing their nonsense.
Since this is December and no news of a discovery on Oak Island and this time of year means they have closed up for winter, season 11 on its way? If History Channel cancels would they be happy to carry on finding trinkets? These builders of this money pit are they best group ever to hide whatever it is they are hiding.
Sadly, my only progress reports are your content. I haven't been able to watch the show since season 6. I hope you can at least do a concise overview of season 10 after it is over. I feel the only treasure is the show. I find the purpose escapes the present and it is not only perplexing but also frustrating. Something was there that was important enough for an unequaled design or endeavor for that era. The apex of the mystery is the complete lack of record. If I was forced to make a guess, I would say it was a temporary vault for treasure retrieved long ago.
How can people get suckered into watching this show is amazing. Don't these people realize yet that the treasure is long gone.if you buried a treasure wouldn't you go back and take it before anyone else takes it I wish I had his money to waste
If you're not able to justify a recap of each episode, perhaps you could group episodes together? Maybe a monthly recap covering the episodes from the previous month... 🤔 if you did that, the video would be much longer, but you could perhaps release it as a premier instead of a reg vid so viewers can chat with each other while watching which would encourage ppl to watch when it's first released. Just throwing out some ideas. I enjoy your recaps and COOI was how I found your channel so I hate that you aren't getting enough interest in them. I will share as well. That said, I can understand you needing to have sufficient interest in the vids given the production quality requires a lot of work.
I've not seen the actual show in a rather long time. I do enjoy your look at it, though, I understand if you no longer continue with it. A shame, but understandable. Take it easy, my friend.
Such a shame interest is low now that, imo they’re finally finding substantial evidence that supports the theory that there really is a money pit and they’re nearing it. Your certainly right about less content over more episodes though. That’s also a shame.

If I was Elon-dependantly wealthy.....I would pay the Oak Island guys to come to a retreat, lavish them with gifts and show them an excellent time. A long weekend or week. Back on Oak Island I'd hide all kinds of ancient crap I bought and paid to have buried all over the island. I feel so bad that they haven't figured it out.
i always liked your recaps. but i understand your reason. the show itself, i started to hate. except for Gary. they build the stone structure around the graden shaft in an early season, i belive season 2. why did they never investigate it? in 10 years! instead feed us with lies about roman swords and similar stupid "experts" telling colorful stories. but the whole time it was right there in plain sight. i thought for the longest time it was some kind of drainage, the more you know. Also, it took them 10 years to use lydar on that little island? for real. your videos often did a better job explaining things then the original. thanks for your work on the topic so far.

I stopped watching the History Channel premieres about 3 seasons ago. I came across your channel last winter and have been following the Oak Island story since by catching your summaries. I started to feel like the History Channel was intentionally dragging on the search to milk the rating as long as possible. I appreciate your updates but the dig has taken so long that it's losing its following
I don't know about this , ... 🤔? Seems like a "long con"? Why would anybody make a treasure unretrievable? Doesn't make any sense but it does make a cliffhanger that will never end and that's good for television and distraction. Cheers
It's not a "treasure" per se and was not intended to be retrieved. It is most probably a tomb. The 90-foot stone with its inscription found "face down" in the Money Pit (SOURCE: multiple Oak Island archival records) was clearly a "capstone" for an ancient tomb, but this sensation-oriented TV show would never focus on that fact because it doesn't fit the treasure narrative.

I think its good to see the recaps you make of them, but also see if there is some algorithmn behind number count also.
I'm not doing anything different. I suppose it's possible that the algorithm has changed.

They should've done the "big dig" long ago. They don't because that would be too easy and quick.
I wouldn't say it would be "easy" that is a big project, more likely the huge cost, it would run to millions.

Since this is December and no news of a discovery on Oak Island and this time of year means they have closed up for winter, season 11 on its way? If History Channel cancels would they be happy to carry on finding trinkets? These builders of this money pit are they best group ever to hide whatever it is they are hiding.

I hope you can at least do a concise overview of season 10 after it is over. I feel the only treasure is the show. I find the purpose escapes the present and it is not only perplexing but also frustrating. Something was there that was important enough for an unequaled design or endeavor for that era.
The apex of the mystery is the complete lack of record.
If I was forced to make a guess, I would say it was a temporary vault for treasure retrieved long ago.

If you're not able to justify a recap of each episode, perhaps you could group episodes together? Maybe a monthly recap covering the episodes from the previous month... 🤔 if you did that, the video would be much longer, but you could perhaps release it as a premier instead of a reg vid so viewers can chat with each other while watching which would encourage ppl to watch when it's first released. Just throwing out some ideas.
I enjoy your recaps and COOI was how I found your channel so I hate that you aren't getting enough interest in them. I will share as well. That said, I can understand you needing to have sufficient interest in the vids given the production quality requires a lot of work.

Such a shame interest is low now that, imo they’re finally finding substantial evidence that supports the theory that there really is a money pit and they’re nearing it. Your certainly right about less content over more episodes though. That’s also a shame.

If I was Elon-dependantly wealthy.....I would pay the Oak Island guys to come to a retreat, lavish them with gifts and show them an excellent time. A long weekend or week. Back on Oak Island I'd hide all kinds of ancient crap I bought and paid to have buried all over the island. I feel so bad that they haven't figured it out.

the show itself, i started to hate. except for Gary.
they build the stone structure around the graden shaft in an early season, i belive season 2. why did they never investigate it? in 10 years! instead feed us with lies about roman swords and similar stupid "experts" telling colorful stories. but the whole time it was right there in plain sight. i thought for the longest time it was some kind of drainage, the more you know. Also, it took them 10 years to use lydar on that little island? for real.
your videos often did a better job explaining things then the original. thanks for your work on the topic so far.

I stopped watching the History Channel premieres about 3 seasons ago. I came across your channel last winter and have been following the Oak Island story since by catching your summaries. I started to feel like the History Channel was intentionally dragging on the search to milk the rating as long as possible. I appreciate your updates but the dig has taken so long that it's losing its following
I don't know about this , ... 🤔? Seems like a "long con"? Why would anybody make a treasure unretrievable? Doesn't make any sense but it does make a cliffhanger that will never end and that's good for television and distraction. Cheers
It's not a "treasure" per se and was not intended to be retrieved. It is most probably a tomb. The 90-foot stone with its inscription found "face down" in the Money Pit (SOURCE: multiple Oak Island archival records) was clearly a "capstone" for an ancient tomb, but this sensation-oriented TV show would never focus on that fact because it doesn't fit the treasure narrative.
