My brain cannot absorb all the information that you are so generous to share. I am learning so much. I watch each of your videos several times. Can't wait to try a quilt like this.
Just found you on utube. I don’t know how to do free motion quilting but I have to try to learn. I love these so much. Going to keep watching your classes. I want to do the dogwood. I think it is beautiful.
Awesome video! Pulling the backing edge to the front is brilliant! One of those “Duh! Why didn’t I think of that?” moments though. lol As always, thanks so much for sharing your beautiful work, and how you go about achieving it!
Watching your process with the Dogwood I'm just in AW of it. When you showed the back of the Iris I was blown away got to order your dogwood pattern. I have your book Cutting-Garden Quilts: Fabulous Fusible Flowers and did the cone flower as a black eye susan not quilted yet it's hanging in line to quilt. Love the idea of using black as the backing to show off the thread.
Love this series! I have your book from 2007 and the iquilt DVDs. Have been sewing masks while watching these. Started the Bird Of Paradise pattern. I have 2 huge Bird of Paradise plants in my front yard.
Thank you so much for this series. I feel like I'm taking a Master Class at a retreat. Do you ever use variegated threads or do you prefer controlling where the colors & highlights go? Do you always use the same weight of thread on top? Are you loyal to a thread company? Especially now where you have to replace your thread collection. And last question do you bury your thread tails? Again thank you for your generosity in sharing how you design, make & quilt your quilt. I really appreciate it. 😄💕
Ok. I saw how you fused your thread tails on top. Brilliant. On the back though, when do you trim your travelling threads? When you jump from one area to the next? Are you quilting over them or at some point do you flip the quilt & trim & fuse them as well? Thanks.

I love the big bobbin case. May need to consider a Bernina
Thank you so much. I bought this quilt kit several years ago and it has been waiting for me to dare to do the quilting. I think I can do it.
You are so welcome!

Sunflower Baby I only use variegated green on the leave. It’s the only place it works. Thank you for the nice words about my classes. 👍🌺

Does the rayon thread ever melt when pressing?
No and I use a very hot iron and press a lot
What is your length of your stitch
Its fee motion so my hand are doing it. I'm trying to make a bigger stitch so it shows up.
Do I need to use sewing aid if I’m not using rayon thread?
yes.
