It's always (last 20 years) been an airline with an amazing OTP, decent meals, top notch IFE and rather comfy seats. Just don't expect friendly service, crews will be efficient but will not go beyond the extra mile. Their lounges at MAD are rather good, food in particular.
I flew Iberia business Napoli to Chicago via Madrid in June. Price was excellent. 800 euros one way. I was expecting a dirty seat and bad food & unfriendly service based upon reviews. Instead I had my best flight ever. Everything was delicious, cabin crew were friendly & proactive, seat was clean & had everything I needed. Bad hype can be Bullshit, too

Iberias a330's aren't old. The max age they have is 10 years. What would be considered old is the 777 which is close to 25 years old. Not an old aircraft

We flew Iberia on an A340-600 from Madrid to Johannesburg in the mid-2000s. There was no I.F.E., the food was inedible and the crew were on Siesta time. Thankfully our flight from Cape Town to Jo'burg arrived late so we missed our Iberia connection back to Madrid. We stayed in a hotel overnight and flew to London Heathrow (where we wanted to be) on a South Africa Airways Airbus A340-600, which was superb. We haven't wasted our money with Iberia since.
How was the crew? I flew them in 2002 and they were quite dry and even rude. Seems that it was common for service to be like that, but perhaps changed?
A 10hrs flight to me is really, really long. I will suffer from terrible anxiety on such a flight. I just can't imagine sitting in a plane and my feet not on the ground much earlier. I wonder if there is a shorter flight to San jose. That will be nice...
Good news at end of world 🌎 resort it will be return trip at night 🌑 and I will ask my parents to go Belarus 🇧🇾 at 1st December or next year, so we shall see that, adios amigo.

I travelled on the same LIMA plane too. On another route. That said, I fly 6 x a yesr with IBERIA to Latin America. With a few exceptions, I consider the crew rude... Food is avarage and planes (even the new A350) dirty. WC are discusting, and crew couldn't care less...
I wonder why do you have such a lag between filming and posting these videos. By the time it is published it may no longer be relevant, like a year has gone by in this case. In these COVID times, that's an eternity and many things have since changed. Just wondering. Thanks!
We record a lot of videos and don’t always get around to cut them right away. UA-cam isn’t our main job and I think it’s important to keep it that way, because it enables us to keep our videos fair and balanced and not exaggerate everything for extra views and money. :) We are trying to get better in that regard, but for now I my video schedule is just a mess and I apologize for that!

Small correction at 2:02 = That A330-200 was built in 2016, not 2006. All of Iberia's A330 are (currently) less than 10 years old.

Hate to say. I’m still a massive hate of Iberia, even I’ve never flown them. But as they own BA, I had a dreadful experience with them in summer 2018.
