- I finish making my mini bonsai pots and begin work on my trees. Today I'm pruning up my Orange tree (Calamondin Orange) that was grown from seed in the late 1990's.

I love citrus trees! 🍋🍊 Always a pleasure to guess where you will cut next.
The miniature pot series was fun to watch! 20+ beautiful mini pots.
I thought teh first shallow pot you made was small already, but everything after that was even smaller!
Great work!
The orange tree looks good, too 🟠
I'm excited for when these pots will be used, they are SO tiny!
Thanks a lot for this series of making mini bonsai pots, it encourages me to start making my own mini bonsai pots coz it's almost impossible to buy any of this in Ukraine. You giving lots of new ideas of shapes and stiles!
Nice, that's awesome!!!
Anotther lovely citrus bonsai. Can't wait to see it budding out in spring..
Can't wait!
We have daffodils poking up 4" out of the ground here in central Pennsylvania. Way early. But honestly I can't remember the last early spring so maybe we're overdue.
I’ve got Lilly’s popping up outback this week. Columbus Ohio 🫡
21 mini pots. Cool! Now you can start your own mini bonsai garden. You might have to expand the little work bench. I bet you can display some of the pots at your next bonsai show. That would be cool.
I do intend on making a garden around the workbench with trees on monkey poles, that will be coming in the future!!!!
Great job with the pots, Nigel! Absolutely great work and so many of them!
Thanks so much!!!
Awesome series Nigel! That tree is beautiful! I have been trying to find Oranges with seeds in them for over a year now, no luck, everything is seedless. Same as Grapefruit. They are all seedless. Although I did get one seed. It has not grown. I have lemons and believe it or not, a Clementine!
Wonderful series Nigel. I can’t wait to see all your pots fired and glazed. Thanks for easing my mind about watering some of my trees in my greenhouse. They all seem happy, and luckily still dormant.
Thanks Steve!!!
💥Very Nice. Thanks👍
Heres to a lucky #13!!!
Thanks
Hi mate,
Enjoy your videos immensely.
I watched a couple from 3-4 years ago, on the planting and wintering of a Birch Forest with ‘John’.
I was wondering how that forest wintered, and if it is still going strong,

( Sydney, Australia).
The last I heard the forest was doing well, Jon had to replace a few trees that died, but the forest is still growing!
Your CO Tree, nice trunk on it. I know that the oranges can be a bit bitter, but it is said that the juice can go into a cup of hot tea for flavor. Have you heard of that? Fruit trees are great so that you can have some edible bonsai trees for fresh fruit. Nice pruning on this tree.
Thanks Tom!!!
Lovely little pots. Will you be glazing some of them? 😊
Yes, I'll do a variety of finishes on them, it should be fun!!!
Can’t wait to see what you come up with 🙂
I shall miss pot making. When do you start smoothing/sanding them? Or, did you do that already? Really enjoyed the series, Nigel. Your orange tree looks great. Looking forward to more trees!
I will be sanding them, I'm just letting them air dry for a few weeks first! I can't wait to get them fired!!!
Lovely little pots Nigel, are you planning on glazing any of them?
Yes, I'll put a variety of finishes on them!!
👍👌👌
❤
Hi Nigel
I wonder if these pots can be refined by light sanding.
Grts
Kennet
Yes, I'll be doing that, they are some with some rough edges!!!
This clay doesn't need to be baken in an oven?
It does, it has to air dry first, then it gets two firings in a kiln!

Nice one Kevin
The round pot was made in 2004
Yes, I noticed that, whoops, it will become a vintage pot ahead of it's time, lol!!
whooohooo ! sorry Nigel.. love you but glad the miniature pot series is over xD
Yes, thanks, it was a very unpopular series, but I had fun making the pots and luckily, I'm not chasing views!!!
you need to introduce house spiders to all your plants. you will forever have infestations if all you do is soap and water only on the trees you bring up.
