I have really wanted to arrance Chopin;s funeral march like this for a long time but never got around to it, thanks to Shining for doing it so perfectly!
I wouldn't get as many feelings of truth and pain if he was singing as beautifully as the notes of the music are arranged. It's the stark contrast that is needed. (For those of you that can't understand this smart man's simplicity.)
This is not intended to insult our polish siblings, but I assume, that the polish name was written here under the assumption, that it is the original name of the piece, possibly even given by Chopin himself, which is both not true. The original piece is the sonata for piano in b-minor, which was written 1-2 years after Chopins departure to france. This alone doesn't mean much, but actually the orchestration (the extension of the piano piece to orchestra) was written by the french composer Henri Reber based on Chopins piano piece and has been played on Chopins own funeral. So on the one hand, Chopin was never aware of that name, and on the other, it was communicated originally by "marche funebre".

you dont need high gain for a good black sound.Just set your gain at 7(max is 12) and cut the middle and the bass a little and boost a litle the tremble.Well that's just ONE good sound..there are many other possibilities ;)
