I'm nearing 60 and have been around machines and construction for more than half of it...I'm glad I've lived long enough to see such monumental achievements in engineering and logistics...I smile to think of what the future holds...It's a guarded smile, but one nonetheless...:)
The Seaways Nessie is worth comparing. A semisubmersible has several advantages in removing both topsides and jacket. Has the PS moved a jacket yet? It is also not a three billion dollar vessel.
Good job the best video at sea l have ever seen .l am a merchant sea man I have been to OSLO .and BERGIN and north of NORWAY .I wish I will get a job on that recovery ship .GOOD JOB. THANKS
thomas mccourt states that there is "0% information" regarding this video. I disagree. There is plenty of information emanating from this video. One particular piece of information I get out of it is that those who believe that we are going to give up the consumption of fossil fuels anytime soon are fooling themselves.
I have been around the world, worked on some of the largest offshore vessels ever built and in the biggest shipyards. This is an amazing offshore vessel but the question that comes to my mind is what drydock is available that can pick something this wide up out the water. My only guess is modular dry docks connected to each other in open water
The world's largest series manufactured bow thruster, belongs to Pioneering Spirit, is the largest construction vessel in the world. Loaded the bow thrusters in Kristiansand ( Norway ). And is due for maintenance in Finland (Rauma) at Rolls Royce.ua-cam.com/video/BkFltyBIAgk/v-deo.html
Too long video, should be edited to around 5 minutes. The average person watches only about 5 minutes of video until the end. The proof is that the number of evaluations is low for the number of viewings.
had an oppurtunity working on this gigantic vessel for over 3 years now , blessed
Thank you for sharing. It’s great to see the old platforms removed. It’s so sad what we have done to the Gulf of Mexico here in the US.
Remarkable. I’m now retired from the industry but have had the joy of seeing we are getting better at mitigating offshore fields and doing it safely.

What a beauty :) An engineering masterpiece! Beautiful video.
Truly a incredible ship and awesome video footage
Incredible drone work ... well done for producing such an amazing video!
You must be very proud to sail on her ... she is one heck of a ship!
an amazing ship! and brilliant drone work!
Prachtige beelden in combinatie met de muziek maakt dit een geweldige film.
Danke für die großartigen einblicke in die Arbeitsweise des Liftsystems.
Best shots I have ever seen taken with a drone.
A great compilation of scenes and fantastic music.
But I am missing the steel leg cutting sequence.
What are the names of soundtracks in this clip please?
Love the views. Really conveys the enormous size of the vessel.

I'm not quite entirely certain if this is CGI or not, but I'm genuinely impressed.
👌🏻perfect work 👍🏻
Great job!
The Pioneering Spirit need to visit the US to remove abandoned platforms from the Gulf of Mexico. That ship is a feat of engineering. It is massive.
I need the names of soundtracks please
98% fancy drone flight, 2% heavy lift.
0% Information 100% irritating and irrelevant music .12 minutes of my life l will never get back (could not endure the entire video )

Boskalis wil send in a few heavy lifting vessels.
Always loved working for Allseas right from the start on Moss Gas Project South Africa
Amazing Vessel and Amazing Video!
They should have shown us the actual cutting and lifting process. Left out some of the most important video.
Amazing lift!
Floating docks lift many times this. Why are they still using it?
Bravoo.. Great Vessel, i have seen in Batam ( indonesia) 😁
Clear evidence that the oil industry is here to stay.
Bella ingeniería, y qué nos quedará de mundo?, supongo que hay que asumir nuestros logros y seguir avanzando...🤷♀️🤔
Can PS remove the jacket?
Very good design save a lot of money and Times for decommissioning
Imagine what the future holds,
When many years ago today would be unimaginable.
Bravo.....just Bravo.
Very nice Video!
Worthy of Willie Evangelion Army
Awesome ship awesome company
The birds eye view @ 9:40 is nuts, shows just how massive she is
A small country can be big in some way. ;) I

Who came here for the funeral music?....Me neither but the ship was very cool.
Engineers : getting shit done since forever.
what do you wanna say the world with this very "strange" sentence..
It's a colloquialism...The statement is form of admiration in the states...:)
More times than not, Not getting shit done with any real clue as too what their doing.
good idea to create a way to retrieve 36,000 tons of steel
Ultimate REPO man. Dont pay your bills, loose your shit. HaHa.
Made in korea Ship.
If you don't want others see the lift, then don't show it.

now that the testing is done it is off to the North Sea to scrap the Brent Oilfield.
