X80k now supports 4k 120hz. I don't know if they updated the tv or if it's only on certain sizes, but I just bought the 85" x80k and it says it has 4k 120hz in the manual as well as labeled on hdmi 3 and 4 on the back of the tv. I tested it with a ps5 as well as laptop, and it works.
Thank you!! For this comment❤ I had just purchased this TV from Best Buy and the employee assured me the X80K line was all 120hz. It is indeed 60hz with exception to your previously mentioned 85". I returned it same day and bouggt the x85k series which does support 120hz. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SAVING ME A MASSIVE HEADACHE🎉🎉🎉

I got a used Sony Bravia remote control that was packaged inside my Samsung AU8000 43" 4K box that I purchased from Best Buy OUTLET. Now I'm thinking of getting a Sony 4K . . . likely the X85K in 43" which I hear pairs up nicely with a PS5. Possibly by the end of the year. I've owned a PS5 for just 3 months now.

Interesting but complicated. We just got a Sony Bravia X80K (43") and will use a cable box hookup. Is there a connection for add-on speakers (Logitech Z313)?? We want to use a different stand (Sanus Swivel stand). We don't have iPhones so how can we do set-up?? Will only use it for cable TV watching. Sign me, a confused old dude. Used to be, you bought a TV, took it home, plugged it in, adjusted the antenna and were good to go. Not no more.

Ips is brighter and more colorful but suffers from blooming however I prefer it overall

Hi there Steve, can You please help me. I can buy for my parents 50x81k with good price this year, my question is it better to go with x81k model or x80j (which is more expensive now) from past year. And does remote controller from x80j which i have one (with numbers) will work on x81k out from box, or i need to connect it after initial setup? I have older members in home. And for the panel of x81k or x80j for 50 Inch version is it same? I had some light bleed from the left side next to frame in grey scenes on 50x80j. Thanks

I just bought 55x81k and it has 3 gb of ram and 8 gb of storage, meanwhile on the website it says this tv has 4 gb of ram and 16 gb of storage
Steve, im looking to get a x80K 65" but this is on IPS panel. I know the difference between VA vs IPS panels, but on the same model (X80K), will the panel type matters alot? I worried about IPS panel has poor contrasts that might impact the overall pictures quality. What's your advice?

From the video, you compared a sony VA vs a Sony IPS. Looks like IPS is better in some ways.
One more question about LCD panels is that they have light reflection. Can you advise more on this point?
Why my x80k when i udjust the brigtnest to the lowest it always returning back to max after a while when i adjust the picure mode it always returning back to vivid it is so bright nd i dont want it like that pla help me
Make sure you apply your changes to all settings. Each input has a different level

X80k 85 inch or x90l 75 inch?
X90L all the way
The X90L is full array local diming (FALD) but interestingly, the 85 inch X80K features a 120Hz panel.
@furballbear the 90L is a true 10bit panel vs the x85 is a 8bit panel with frc

Yes, 10Bit has billions of colors and not simulated. That’s why 10bit panels cost more

movies are in anamorphic wide screen so the black bar are there so no in most cases if you fill the screen you’re cropping the picture
what if you have more than 1 google account, can you toggle between account or does it only accept one? Like in my case one account has amazon, the other has hbo. Does that mean I can only use one and only do manual setup for the app on the other google account?

Possibly a related question: Aside from using "screen mirroring" from a phone or tablet, do you have any suggestions for how multiple house guests can stream their own apps in a rental home where users change weekly/monthly? We have an X900H and I use my Google account to access several apps ( HBO, Amazon, Netflix, etc) but it's for us only. Aside from telling them to use screen mirroring, maybe I should just set up with Google but remove my payment methods and sign out of my premium streaming apps when I leave the rental home?
