I always like the quality signature of JBL bassy and rich treble enough but this time I will go to the Sony I think they finally hit the spot with their warm sound signature it's very natural and pleasant I like the vocals.
@ferry7613 My bad. I must have missed that while reading the specs on the Sony. I was thinking the Sony only had 2 tweeters for highs and 2 for the mids and bass. I was under the impression that the JBL had a 5th additional large racetrack woofer in the center dedicated for producing sub bass only. So, Sony does the sub bass through the same speaker the vocals come out of. Cool! Maybe that's why the Sony is louder. I think the JBLs overall loudness might be hindered by the tweeters being mounted directly above the mids woofers. Kind of obstructs the mids a bit.
Have you tried out the w-king x20, heard it is louder than the jbl bb3, more features and larger battery, they appear to have different sound profiles though.
How would you compare the sony with the woburn 3? I love the sound of the woburn but i dont like it to be a speaker without being portable. Love your vids man :)
They are super similar. Really I would just consider the ULT 7 the child of the xg500. I don't have the model to compare to but I like the ult 7 more in form and sound.

XG500 sounded a bit muffled and rusty to me (listened in a shop), the ULT 7 much more open and impressive at low to medium volumes. But above 40% it starts to get too harsh for my ears, some kind of metallic shrilllness, which find unpleasant.
I rarely if ever base my buying choice on listening to music unless I have EQ available. Everyone's hearing is different, tastes are different. Not enough highs? Crank up the appropriate band on the EQ. My vote if the TRIBIT StormBox .
In my country the sony is 300 $ while the JBL wifi is at least 530 $ wich is almost double the price , the sony has more features with 10 %less sound which makes it the clever choice over the JBL who doesn’t justify the extra 230$ !!!

For the money Emberton 2 30hrs+ battery life vs the bose flex's 12hrs battery life it's also smaller and easy to handle and the sound quality is something special with marshall!

Sony has much richer and more balanced sound. JBL's upper frequencies are scratchy. Also, the playing time is much longer. Vertical usage mode. Sony is the winner

I like the field 7 better vibrant sound JBL sounds muffled.
I got the UF7 today and it sounds really good. Found it at TJMAXX for $199

If you want muffled sound, go for jbl. If you want clean and clear with descent Bass, go for Sony

Sony is usually all about bass from what I’ve seen… but sometimes it gets a little distorted.
