I was/am a big fan of Robot Alchemic Drive on PS2 and only recently found out it was preceded by Remote Control Dandy. Had no idea it had a translation though, so I'm gonna have to hunt that down now!

What is the best current method of modding a PS1 to play translated japanese games?
Wobbling pixels, I just had an idea about something related to the m classic video that you're working on. I don't know if you've ever heard about it but there is a software called "ptbi" that uses Black Magic capture cards to do similar graphical enhancements as the m classic but it seems like it has way more options for anti-aliasing and scaling then the m classic. Not sure if it's in active development anymore but it was created by Durante of Dark Souls modding fame.
If you had the time and access to the hardware I was thinking it might be right up your alley with the type of videos you make. And maybe a head-to-head of ptbi against the M classic could be an interesting video.

Many of the clips are too short to have an idea of how the games play.
Front Mission 2 is not 100% translated ingame, not even a 70% They did translate everything but they did not manage install translated text outside the battle map, so all text bars between missions still japaneese, game still playable tough but it playable like without any patches.
