As a day 1 player of both games in my opinion...since Titanfall is such an extremely fast paced game thats the reason to abilities don't last as long. Just on movement alone can get you out of a crazy situation.
I still remember the wallrunning hell with homing pistols. Nightmare
Using a kraber in that game required a lot of movement to keep you alive, and luck with those hip fire shots

@@gamecavalier3230 Gotta say I don't agree homie. I've spend loads of time playing both titanfall2 and apex. You need 1 wall, doesn't matter how long or tall just 1 wall to carrying HEAPS of momentum for a good amount of time and there are a couple maps on titanfall 2 that has very little wall coverage across the map. You don't even need walls at all actually, a tiny slope gives good momentum and distance. Titanfall 2 movement would have worked perfectly fine on the apex maps.
You can tell when someone started with apex and then moved to Titanfall by how they grapple
Paths grapple sucks so much compared to tf2 grapple, the 2 charges of grapple had some spiderman like plays at times

I absolutely love how each legend has their own makeshift abilities compared to the pilots of titanfall 2. Wraiths especially is very interesting seeing as how only simulacrums were able to consistently phase shift in tf2, I love how they show us the side effects of that
It works for octane too, since stim was only used by simulacrums in titanfall and it would heal you and give you a speed boost. But since he's human, it damages him but still gives him a speed boost in return, pretty cool

i think the Titanfall grapple is actually a part of the jumpkit and not a wrist mounted device, but seeing Pathy's arm follow the grapple line feels so much better for judging how to curve the slingshot.
human arms couldn't handle the loads of such a powerful retractable grappling hook, but perhaps they still could have made the pilot's arm follow the grapple line anyway

As someone who was introduced to Apex first (and then started playing Titan Fall afterwards) this is really cool to see how the character abilities are direct references.
So basically we can predict what new abilities we see in the future by looking into titanfall

It's really interesting to see that this video shows how Pilots are, in fact, the ultimate badasses of their universe. The Apex Legends have basically bootlegged versions of their abilities, inferior mobility and also can't pilot Titans. I think a single pilot could take on multiple squads of Apex Legends

@@lucky9293 Yet pilots had those abilities as standard equipment, but Mirage basically spent most of his life upgrading the holograms to be superior to a pilot's. And Wraith's ability involves more than just simply technology to access the void, so it makes sense to be superior and unique.

I wish you used stim while wallrunning to show how much faster it is than Apex. Also the Titanfall 2 grapple has a longer grapple distance so you can do way bigger slingshots, would have liked to see that as well.

Its crazy because as capable as the apex legends are you just realize how insane the pilots are when they can basically do any one of the signature abilities of the legends without breaking a sweat, then on top of that wallrun and stuff

Well legends are just some dudes who got a Christmas invitation to kill each other, most of them don't lol people on the regular I think only Rev, Bloodhound, Caustic and Bangalore (maybe Loba) are the only experienced killers and the rest have their own reasons for joining the games. The pilots had all that training and junk

there's grunt chatter in titanfall 1 where they mentioned stim and one of them commented on how he put 2 drops of it into his coffee and can't sleep for a week
@@freeze459 that's because stim is too powerful for normal humans to be used, if they did so their heart would probably explode or something like this. Look at Octane, he has to use a downgraded version of it and filtrate his own blood constantly to avoid dying from using his stims, and it stills damages his health.

It's actually incredibly overpowered for how slow a game Apex is in comparison. It's like giving Gibby the ability to shoot through his dome while also powering up weapon damage

I remember when I pulled this crazy stunt where I was in a close range fight with a pilot, He went for a melee and I phased through him, He turned around and shot at me so I phased behind him AGAIN and then curb checked him, coolest thing I’ve ever done in a video game

Fun fact: Hyper (Ranon Sarono) animated parts of Titanfall 2, and worked at Respawn Animations, then left in 2018 and got a job at Treyarch. He made animations for Modern Warfare (2019).

I played Titanfall 2 a year ago and I loved the story, so I tried Multiplayer (on PS4) but unfortunately it was kinda dead, so I tried Apex and now this Universe got me so hooked I play no other Multiplayer than Apex and I really like to watch the Stories from the Outlands, they are so freaking good❗
The content is a bit dry though. You get 2 major updates every season.
The new season changes, and the mid part season update, like events.
I just wish they added lots of LTMs. Atleast that's the one thing Fortnite did right-added variety to the types of game modes

You should get back into titanfall 2! We average about 4000-5000 players daily on ps4 and you find matches really quickly. I only played it cuz I wanted lore for apex and now I cant even play apex anymore, just seems so slow and battle royale isnt as enjoyable now. Why loot for 10 minutes, die, rinse, repeat? I dont get why I enjoyed it to begin with :/
@@GioVortex I enjoy playing Battle Royale, maybe it's bc I go into fights instantly but either way, the Problem is, since I own a PC I'm not able to play with Controller again 😅 I got so bad with it that my aim is everywhere but not on the target 😂, so I only play story games on console.
Which modes are active btw? When I tried Multiplayer there was only 1 mode where u didn't had to wait 20 minutes for a lobby, which was the PvE Mode but I never really enjoyed that one. I think imma buy Titanfall 2 for PC, do u know how the lobbies are there?
@@rushernate2601 most people play attrition (Standard titanfall) or pilots v pilots (Which is just titanfall without titanfalls) Some other popular modes are Capture the flag, titanbrawl, and the money one (I forgot the name). But to get in matches the fastest, just queue for attrition, it takes 2 minutes max to find a match (at least in north america)

Fun fact: Horizons tactical was supposed to work exactly like the gravity star. Before throwing you could select to suck in or shoot out, but respawn decided to make her ult suck in while her tactical shoots outwards.
It was also going to have the ability to attach to walls, so you could launch an enemy or friendly legend sideways, but that was scrapped. (Still think that wouldve made her godly in ranked)

Tone down the movement and make it more shooter for the BR genre is pretty good.
Though I find the knockdown shield to be quite terrible since what you see is not what’s in game, you can try to turn and match the enemy’s movement to block their bullets but you still end up dying most of the time ‘cause your character don’t actually turn as fast as your camera do.

I dropped apex because every time I’d see some old titanfall content that felt like a watered down version of its old self it just made me want to play titanfall instead. Especially in those first weeks after launch where they massacred my poor alternator

@@traviscrane2108 back when hyperscape was relavant, i would argue that they did "fast paced BR game" extremely well; hell, even spellbreak is pretty fast paced once you get into fights, and its barely a shooter game, more akin to people throwing darts at each other rather than shooting with guns

It's called a nerf (more like a balancing honestly), they do it in every game if youre not aware.
It was too op, so they made it longer and now it's actually balanced. The Titanfall 2 phase was balanced because it was a faster game and didn't last a a long, if anything it was underpowered compared to grapple and stim

I miss the days when Phasing had TWO CHARGES in the early days of TF2 and you could already have your weapon drawn.
They should totally add the pilot movement mechanics and this game would be insane
Its important to remember that Wraith habilities are due the experiments done to her, however the phaseshift pilots are leveraging technology that was recovered by jack cooper. Similar but different things.

I wonder if it's a good idea to give the holo's a AI like deploy ur holo and it acts like a human
that would honestly make them more viable. it's not that they're bad in titanfall, it's just that the game is too fast to properly punish those who gets fooled. That or the other picks are more intresting at first glance so not many use holo. maybe a good way to buff holo is to give those who attack them a stun or arc effect.
The tf2 decoy still viable in the bounty hunter mode if the bank is placed inside a building. Place it next to the bank and equip yourself wiith the softball then free kills
Nah, you only need them for 1 second, thats far more than enough time to mow down anyone distracted by your holo.

The issue with holos in Titanfall is that there's no risk to picking wrong unless ur in cqc, which u rarely are. 99% of pilots will be able to just shoot the second guy if the first ends up being a Holo and the delay will be basically none due to the ttk being basically instant
I firmly believe that pilots would destroy the apex legends characters
Wouldn't even be a fair fight honestly. Like octane thinks he's fast wait until he sees a pilot moving at like 200 mph drop out of the sky with a mastiff
The last thing octane saw is a grapling hook attach to him and a pilot come at him at march 3 (proceed to get meleed)

If you wonder why they both have same guns and abilities, well basically both games were developed by Respawn and apex is set in the same universe as Titanfall and apex takes around 30 years later after Titanfall 2 event it is just like Far Cry new dawn is set in the same map as Far Cry 5 but 17 years later after Far Cry 5 event
No 30 years it 16 years after the battle of typon

I really wish there was more of Titanfall than apex. The battle Royale genre has just gotten so stale in my opinion.
I’d rather have a game where you can respawn, and immediately speed back into the fight.
I’ve played apex, and I just find TF|2 more enjoyable.
But that doesn’t mean that I didn’t enjoy apex, it’s pretty fun as well.
I hope respawn can either make a new mode where you can spawn back into the map right after death. (And yeah ik about the respawn beacon)

I feel like Wraiths phasing is more like Ronin because she becomes faster while using it. There is also the gas of Caustic and Scorch (Titan) even if the gas of Caustic can't ignite I think. And the smoke, and much more.
This was real interesting to watch. The bonus clip was real cool, just imagine if tf2 ultimate or w.e. could have been a bit similar for apex horizon ult

its honestly genius why the apex versions last longer but have a longer deploy time.
for example: wraith's phase shift is makeshift, while the titanfall ones are specifically engineered, and octane's stim is just a syringe filled with the liquid, which he sloppily injects into himself dealing damage

So the abilites that were new in Apex are Lifeline's Heal, Bangalore's Smoke, Caustic's gas, Loba's Teleport, Cryptos EMP, Revenant's Totem, Wattson's fences/Airdefence and Seer's Heartbeat thingy. Valkyrie is essentialy just the Northstar Titan in tiny and weak. Fuse's Ultimate is borrowed from the Scorch Titan.
I don't remember any pilot, titan or weapon to feature these abilities.
But overall there was at least some kind of creativity with the new legends that I mentioned.
Caustics gas is based of scorch too, in TF2 scorch throws out gas canisters that do posion AOE and can also be ignited by fire.
This is the main reason why I love Apex. It's so close to Titanfall and I miss that game so much. ❤

@@wizard_jig1112 I miss the old wraith. I havent played her since that new ninja hand sign shit. The only thing I hated about the old phase is the fact that you couldnt see anyone while doing it.
