Gorgeous spot and beautifully painted sky. We always stop there when we drive west. Kept thinking to fly there but never dared due to no grass to land on. Hope the brush didn't cause any damage....
First time trying this with a wing, so much easier to land with a quad for sure. If I had just missed the brush it would have been a very clean landing but there was no damage at all so it worked out really well. Thanks for watching 🙏🏽
If using a pan servo it is easier to mount up top but there is space in the nose for a camera and the VTX could go inside. It’s a bit cramped and with the pan servo I am using it is best up top. I am going to try out an action camera in the nose tomorrow after work because I would like some unobstructed views of my fixed wing flights.

Er, I think that counts as idyllic weather....look at that water, like a mirror....Stunning location....Im using that tiny Speedybee F405 mini in my Versa Wing...great micro FC..😏😏😏🇬🇧
I couldn’t have asked or better weather in that location. It’s rare to have less than 20mph winds through there. The Speedbee F405 mini is fantastic, I was comparing it the full size and I’m not sure why anyone would really bother with the full size one (I have one in my sailplane that I need to finish up).
@@JonaverseNo.1 Thank you very much! I have not flown either of the other wings but a friend of mine has both the T1 and Altus and he likes the Altus better. I think now with the release of the VTOL kit for the Altus it’s a really great wing. My only complaint, and I can’t compare to the other wings is, the Altus is not well designed for newer action cameras. I can get my GoPro Hero 4k in the front and if I remove the mounts on the 11 Mini it just barely fits.

@@JonaverseNo.1hey guys. I have been flying fixed wings for > 10 years,, but new to FPV fixed wings. I have the DJI goggles, air unit and camera, and got the adapter for DJI goggles for long range .. now looking for a a good forgiving fixed wings which one you recommend ..?! Thanks

@@brambo4776 1018g with DJI O3 and AtomRC gimbal with just a pan servo. I’ve since changed it to a Walksnail Avatar Pro HD and it weighs in at 1008g.
