these snowrunner/mudrunner comparisons always make me think of how mudrunner looked so much more atmospheric :( I love snowrunner and played it 300 hrs+, but I just can't get over this
I'll have to test the 6455b with different tire configurations to find the one I prefer. I have a tendency to go for off-road tires instead of mud tires for better all around versatility.
For sake of testing I used tayga mudtires but I'll prefer the stock tires that comes with truck as those matches with real life truck as well as spintires and mudrunner models
It's hard to say how much a long wheelbase will really hurt the 255 as finding long patches of uninterrupted mud and snow like in these tests are pretty rare in the actually. In the real game having a long wheelbase tends to actually help vehicles like the Western Star or International Twin-Steer as you go into mud, and then by the time your rear wheels reaches the mud, your front wheels are already pushed up and out and are helping drag you along. I feel like the testing ground is good for getting a baseline idea of a truck, but you aren't going to know what a truck is really like until you take it out on a proper map. I guess though the Tayga being newer it makes sense it was a bit better in mud. But still we'll see how some "real world" treats the old 255
Random rant: In my opinion, having a long wheelbase tends to create a lot more pressure on the front tyres. Causing the front to "dig" deeper when not wanting to. If the rear axles are closer to the centre, you'll get better weight distribution so the front isn't as heavy.
Literally yesterday I installed the Kraz 255 and 260 minipack mod and fell in love with both of them And now you telling me they are coming for real? Amazing Obviosly the mod one has its custom beds and trailers and that's a good point on its side
Even though I never understood which truck was which in Mudrunner and Spintires, I knew the Kraz 257B from FS19 mods. It still brings back the memories of when Spintires was the thing.

I can already tell that the forester is gonna be used once or twice for some specific missions and then never again. Like the CAT th357 and the CAT dump truck which name i forgot.
Park it near the logging station to load the trucks that can't have a crane for the logging missions and then forget about it until the next maps' set of logging missions.
I hope the roof kit gets a bit of repair points as well as the spare wheels, considering it already have mount a spare wheel in one of the normal locations.

The Aramatsu Forester makes no sense. Why only small logs? Totally useless. They should have at least give an option to use small or medium logs, plus it can’t pull no trailer. Transporting logs is so annoying in this game as it takes forever. I usually just get a box semi trailer and put logs into it. It easily fits 12 medium logs (so worth 3 packs) and then I just load it to a log truck at the destination. Still faster than traveling over and over again.
I partially agree, I think that given the state of the game, it´s good to have more trucks with specific roles at least aesthetically. The only thing I find lacking is the chance to add trailers behind it. But, yes I see your point

Hopefully they update it to carry medium logs since it's the longer wheelbase anyway. Could see this fitting a niche for tasks the regular Tayga King doesn't have the frame space for.

I guess there is gonna be more features coming for the forester, or what's the point for the removable crane? And again, no trailer support with hitch presented? Like Khan, and 6900? Probably these 2 Taygas covers all 6wd truck class.
I don't like the AWD/Diff always on on any truck, it should be an upgrade to find so you can install it if you want. The old 255B should not have this option at all. Love your videos, keep it up..
Besides What's the point of a vehicle that's only purpose is carrying short logs when you can already have a bed mod for almost any truck and the access to a trailer?

I think the name of first truck "aramatsu" is closer to "komatsu" , and after i checked is based on komatsu vehicle so its not john deere. You can check if you dont trust me
It's sad seeing the Kraz with unique tires and a sideboard in the previous games and then looking at the generic same big russian mudtires and universal sideboard bed that every other vehicle has. I really wish they would go back to more unique looking addons for each truck, or at least between the russian and american trucks like before.

I have a John Deer 1910E toy. When I saw the Aramatsu I thought "hold on, this looked familiar. Is this based on a John Deere?".
The aramtsu really caught my attention, the Tayga too, they have been fond of a lot of classic vehicles

The 255 might not be as good as the Tagya king but it more than makes up for it with the crane + bed + trailer combo.

I think the Arimatsu is based off the Komatsu Forwarder (similar enough name). Imo it looks nothing alike the John Deere

I haven't tried it in recent updates but when I last checked it, it was not supported...atleast on PC version...but I'll check it again.

They haven't been nerfed, as far as I know they were always shit, it is just more apparent because people use modded tires now.
