The horrors inflicted on those people was unbearable.

It’s interesting to see so many photographs of soldiers caring for small animals. One can only imagine that they were searching desperately for some sense of humanity in the middle of inhumane conditions. One of the most poignant things to me is that after John's troop had liberated Edith (and her fellow captives), a dance was held to help reintroduce them to a "normal" life and activities. It was there that John asked out Edith. But, he lacked the courage, so asked a friend to ask her to dance for him. She said she'd dance with him only if he came and asked himself !!! ... The Japanese woman who survived Nagasaki hopefully didn't have radiation poisoning. The picture of Auschwitz was particularly depressing knowing how many men women and children were murdered in the gas chambers, tortured, starved and worked to death.
When you see those soldiers risking there life to help others cross a border and break the rules it makes me wonder if those men became soldiers out of fear or being misguided and seeing that its wrong
Fantastic, old books and photos are our link with the past. Photos say so much, facial expressions in various situations fascinate me. AMAZING PICTURES! Hoow - i am from germany and have heard and seen about many super heavy heartbreaking actions people and soldiers have done, to save and rescue, others (HUMAN BEINGS FOR FUCK'S SAKE!) - when this country (my Homeland) was decided into West and East for example ; extreme humanistic things took place - cannot hide my tears anymore, even today! I am crying right now. My personal roots come from Rügen (an Island in East Germany) - my ancestors had to leave their beloved homes - Man, that is hard! *it never were any Gods who helped out - it were and still ARE mortal human beings who did those great things - CHAPEAU! Well done, dear uploader - these realities may never sink into vanish. In german schools we learn to NEVER forget! (i hope the rest of the planet sees this importance, too) Greetings and lots of Health to everyone!
I counted 9 photos that I've seen before but still this was much appreciated. As I recall Eskimo survivalist expert Nanook of the North was the subject of a widely seen documentary film. Ironically, not long after the film he died in the harsh cold. I think it was due to hunger.
Absolutely correct. The documentary by Robert J. Flaherty was actually highly criticized for being completely staged. Apparently Nanooks wife was not his wife, he used a gun to hunt and not a bow, many of the scenes were completely made up to be dangerous or show a part of Inuit culture that isn’t real. I think that’s true of almost all documentaries. But, this was considered pretty immoral at the time.
You only have to look at these pictures to see that people don't want war, and that they hang on to every little bit of love and hope that there is!

this this...........such powerful photos thanks for the pictures i i cant i explain how this has happend in the world most deadliest war...............
the way someone treats their animals says paragraphs about their character
You got some powerful images in this collection enjoy your videos very much
Thank you kindly
(0.12) How did the situation come about that an American airman was in peaceful contact with a Japanese civilian?
These pictures prove that we all love peace and nobody really wants war.
The photo at 3:27 looks like it might’ve been staged
I messed up long ago and watched Full metal Jacket… it disgusted me to my core. War is hell and many soldiers, on both sides are demons
you can find videos of the assassination at 7:00 on youtube. it's amazing how fast it goes down and how sudden it is. that boy really made his mark on history that day
Respectfully done, and sad yet beautiful. Thank ❤️ You for sharing.👍🏻🐾🌈☮️🇨🇦
Glad you enjoyed it
@@AmazingHistoricalPhotos Thank You, it was so well done! 👍🏻🐾🌈☮️🇨🇦
This is by far the best collection of vintage photography I have come across on UA-cam. It has been 60 years since I've seen these. Young kids need to see these.
Thank you for your kind words and support !
Powerful pictures all and the music superb, makes you meditate on how turbulent and beautiful the human race can be...
Thank you for your feedback. You can find out more about the music at www.markbulmer.com Thanks for watching !
While some were heart wrenching, every photograph is stunning. Thanks much
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for your feedback
So sweet the soldier helped the boy rip to all
Also, for those wondering, I believe the damage to the skull unearthed in the "Longest Kiss" was caused by the excavation, and not the earliest known evidence of a murder suicide. 🤘♥️
I had read this also. Let's hope that's true !
I read that both skeletons were male. I hope that's true.
@@susanbutler4614 that does add a layer of intrigue.♥️
@@AmazingHistoricalPhotos Definitely agreed
@@susanbutler4614 Sk 335 is male but SK 336 is unknown
Some of these pictures show there is humanity even in immeasurable suffering
2.06: According to the Ken Burns doco "The Civil War" the photo of Lincoln was taken when he had almost finished that profound speech.
I have heard equal claims that it was prior and/or after. I had a 50/50 chance.
@Amazing Historical Photos OK, you're reprieved. You can step away from the wall and take off the blindfold!! 🤣👍
LMAO
All these photos are fantastic, but few hit right in the feels.
Well put !
Thank you so much for sharing these photographs with everybody..I hope there are many honest photographers and reporters in our world. (and no..I am not being sarcastic at all..)
Its wonderful to see the humanity in between horror ,i loved the German soldier and the little boy
@6:44 not gonna lie that one hit me hard
The Japanese woman who survived Nagasaki hopefully didn't have radiation poisoning. The picture of Auschwitz was particularly depressing knowing how many men women and children were murdered in the gas chambers, tortured, starved and worked to death.
When you see those soldiers risking there life to help others cross a border and break the rules it makes me wonder if those men became soldiers out of fear or being misguided and seeing that its wrong
Fantastic, old books and photos are our link with the past. Photos say so much, facial expressions in various situations fascinate me. I feel I’m being spoken to from the past. ‘’Yes, this is what happened to us,! Take care not to let it happen again’’. Of course there are happy photos as well, thankfully.
Absolutely!
I remember my father coming home, (at leasts 9 months after the war was over\) It took me one year to accept him.
Excellent and amazing! Great background music. Just subscribed.
Thank you for the feedback and the support !
Very moving photos of historical importance. Thanks for sharing them.
Thank you for watching !
Makes me wonder how we systematically have destoyed everything these brave men fought for in ww2 etc.
Terrible reminder that we must all stand up against the tyranny.
We are at these crossroads again: we all need to call and pray for peace.
This is nearly unbelievable…✌️
Great photos, very powerful.🤩
Thank you! Cheers!
Even with death all around you and these beautiful souls found love and joy in small things, may God almighty 🙏 bless all the innocent victims of war 🙏 😢 💔
3:33 They may kill me but they won't scare me
Ironic. Killed by one of their own.
Quote from GOD:
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF MANKIND'S FREE WILL
NOT EVEN MYSELF CAN HANDLE THAT KIND OF POWER.
Sad and gripping photos. Beautiful piano music. 🎹 🎶
Thank you so much for watching and for enjoying my music.
Considering the technology they had to work with these photographs are amazing.
1:35 Paused it and I stared at this one for quite a few seconds.

That guy was badass
He dosent give a fuck
War is so cruel and unnecessary...the lives lost, the destruction of natural places and the bombing of architectural one of a kinds...and we haven't learned a thing.
You’re so right. Humanity has suffered since the beginning of time.😢
Tell me how hard your life is now.
One of the reasons I make these videos is so that I am frequently reminded how lucky I am to not have gone through what many of these people have experienced.
(i hope the rest of the planet sees this importance, too)
Greetings and lots of Health to everyone!
Thank you for your comment.
They are worth seeing over and over again. Least we forget. Thank you.
The 2 men defiant in the face of their killers💜 the survivors of the A bombs 💜 hard to believe anyone survived that mass slaughter . 🇬🇧
OMG! So heartbreaking ❤️🩹 the extinct animals and the extinct of humanity…. While others persevered through kindness and compassion 😢
