Lucy you...seriously. In our neck of the woods the millionaire good ol' boys who dominate our OEM market are dicks 24/7 for sales and service. They know almost nothing about these ski pre sale and are the largest dealers in our neck of the woods. Most/many of use drive 100-200 miles to buy from anyone but local.
I'm glad you got to enjoy yours. I got mine last week and 25 minutes into the engine break in the check engine light came on. Been in the shop for two days and no word.
The 1.8 engine was and is still perfect. This new engine has to be proven over time just like the rest. Disappointed that Yamaha persists with that forward hatch that is impossible to access on the water.
@@whotube357I didn’t know that about the 1.8’s. Is that “Across the Board”. Or only when they are ridden aggressively for long periods of time (%). Or possibly water conditions? I would venture to guess Salt (Ocean) water riding is harder on skis (all brands), than fresh. Thanks in advance for any insight to this.
I just bought a VX cruiser 24. Not the HO. Everyone tells me I'll want the extra speed but to be honest I've really been enjoying it. Can you do a video review of you pulling someone behind you on a tube or skis?
Absolutely, I’ll plan a video for that. One of my first skis was the base model VX and I will agree at some point you will likely want to upgrade to a little more power but it’s still a very fun machine. Enjoy it!
Ribbon delete is hands down the best modification for the 1.8L, in my experience the VX and GP speedometer is off 3mph from the factory. Wish they would start using a GPS speedo like the FX.
How were the MPG's? My 24 FX's seats are coming a part right at the seams after 30 hours. Yamaha is replacing them under warranty, but have to wait 4+ months to get them.
@@Watercraftshack oh nice. Fx will be amazing I’m sure. I am thinking of getting a gp ho. I want something that goes fast but yet I can go on little tours here and there with. I live on a Great Lake so it’s gonna be a big body of water. Was thinking vx ho as well but like the look of the go better. Did u prefer the gp over the vx?
@sparke1999 seats are cooler on the Vx cruiser HO .... but what reapply is the difference between the GP HO and the VX cruiser HO?? Same engine, is one hull lighter then the other? Screen? Functions?... only other thing the gp is the handles are difgerent
@@Watercraftshackdid you change the speed in the menu on the ski? Make sure you set the acceleration to normal and speed to high. Hit ok TWICE to make sure it’s enabled… once you are in this mode you will feel the 1.9 really cut loose. It should go 67mph. I have the 2024 VX HO. Have fun!
Congratulations on your new 2024 FX Cruiser HO! Power is amazing, fuel efficiency increase over the 1.8 isn’t going to happen 🤣😂🤪😜. Keep me posted once you get sometime on her. Would love to know what you’re getting on the MPG. Thanks, Billy D
@@rickss69 I have 11 hours on the machine now and I can say the 1.9L has much improved power over 1.8 but doesn’t seem to get any better fuel mileage, it may actually be worse
@@WatercraftshackI have a 2024 Yamaha cruiser HO and a Seadoo 325 crazy as it sounds when riding exactly the same the seadoo gets wayyyyyyyyy better fuel consumption. The Yamaha is thirsty thirsty.!
I read somewhere that the fuel efficiency of the 1.9 is the same as the SVHO.
Recently had some warranty work done there. They were very professional and courteous. nice ski

Oh wow that’s not good , keep us updated on what happened
No doubt added electronics for little gain and more to go wrong.
Still in the shop, they can't figure out what's wrong. Yamaha techs are now involved, we will see.
@@StevenChampagne thanks for the update let us know when the figure out the issue
😮
Congrats! Nice Ski!
Thanks Tommy!
Congratulations man! That seat is huge! I've heard the ride is a lot smoother than the GP.
There is a lot I love FX but the handling of the GP feels better to me
The seat looks exactly the same as the one on my 2018. Very comfortable riding...sucks for fishing.

I’ve really enjoyed my 1.8 engines
Got the 24 vx cruiser ho and I am in love with the 1.9. Hit 67 mph after break in.
Far from perfect....the 1.8 had an issue with cracking cylinder heads. The 1.9 addresses that. The 1.9 is an improved 1.8

@@scotthooper4170 Never heard of any issues with the 1.8 and there are plenty of them out there. Mine is used strictly in salt water out in the Gulf.

Nice video! Almost to that 1k mark! I followed
Trying to get there ! Thanks for watching.
