Every time I hear about the overly generous melee hitreg in TC2 I'm reminded of the TF2 clip where LazyPurple beats 2 Demoknights with his stock melee because of the overly stingy melee hitreg in TF2. Melee really is just cursed for these hat loving mercs.
also (specifically with tc2 swords (not sure about tf2)) if you were to click on the enemy gamer and turn away before it fully hits, you still do damage. HOWEVER, if you were already facing away, click, and turn back to the enemy gamer before the swing completes, you ALSO do damage. you can basically just spin around really fast and guarantee anybody in that special circle will get hit.
@@thebearer8904 Haha, wow. There's nothing like that in TF2, it's just a quick series of internal checks to decide the 1 target that should be prioritized. In fact, due to melee hitreg being both hitscan AND projectile, all melee has a serious issue where if a teammate's bounding box intersects your bounding box (or crosses your crosshairs) then the attack counts as hitting them and vanishes, and swords are just melee with increased maximum range so there are more opportunities for the attack to get stuffed by a teammate. Trying to aim past a teammate like you would with a gun isn't a perfect solution either because it's the bounding box that gets checked instead of the hurtbox and the bounding box is a huge invisible box that surrounds the player in order to prevent players from clipping in to walls and enemies (but not friendly players, hence teammates constantly eating melee attacks).
Good job making this video, you’ve added a lot more research into this video compared to the previous videos, which can be seen most clearly by the trimping part, this is one of your most well detailed videos, well done!
Here's a use for the Flagaxe in TC2 is the fact that it gives a speed boost, combined with the boots and suddenly you're 30% faster, which might not seem much, but it seriously helps when you are chasing enemies or need to retreat.
I don't think I've tried out that combination before and it sounds quite nice, but I still feel like most people would pick the Flagxe for only objectives since a bullet vulnerability means you'll be taking extra damage from most weapons.
That's the thing, most of those classes die easily in 3 hits minimum. With the speed boost, you can be more unpredictable and dodge them, combined with the very absurd melee hitbox in TC2. The only real threat you have is Troopers that carry shotguns (since the bullet vulnerability) and Brute, but fighting a Brute is a death sentence anyway.
Honestly, As an Anniknight Main this video has made me not mad that someone else actually enjoys the Elegant Blade as much as me. Even though I like the reskin more (The Genuine Whirlpool of Wrath), Though a nice tech is to hit the enemy first and charge after the first hit to get them confused. The 1s extra Charge Time makes them much more confused though since you're basically unpredictable.
Hello there. Annihilator Main here with 5.5k confirmed kills on a katana. Anni is pretty much an agressive character. I play alot of Hybridknight and Anniknight tho so some other high hour anni player can say so otherwise. ALSO KATANA AND IRISH GUARD IS STILL BALANCED AND NOTHING WILL TELL ME OTHERWISE
Katana did receive a nerf. It now only overheals 25% to *specifically* anniknight Honorbound penalty is also reduced to 25 hp. That’s a buff. My opinion? Still good. But it taught me to be a better anniknight.
Here's a fun combo to do in tc2 as anni knight, the chargin' bull with the battle axe, if used right, it's really satisfying to one shot all classes (except brute/heavy), I mainly use it in tdm and to kill that one brute who's capturing the point alone, works 65% of the time Anyways, really awesome series bro, really looking forward for the rest of the classes ;)
I feel like persian persuader encourages you to use pure demoknight but spartan savious does the opposite due to the less charge from ammo penalty, but I guess its for balance between using both hybrid and pure
the shield nerfs are a bit much imo. keeping least mini crits and the resistances would have been better and the shields are nerfed enough why need to nerf the swords themselves...
I don’t get why TC2 was made, isn’t it just TF2 on Roblox, plus there are TF2 mods to lower graphics details for local/low quality devices, plus TF2 has many more fan game-modes, but than again, Roblox is a cluster of clones(albeit some good, some bad, and some just… existing…), but than again, that’s my personal rant, I’d like to hear other people’s opinions on the topics! Edit: I’m glad from al the input from people I’m getting, learning why people enjoy both games, y’all made me quite happy being so kind with the responses too, you all are awesome!
@@cheesesoldier7136 I mean, the Orange Box for 360/PS3 exists, it had TF2(before all the hats and being able to pick up builds), so it’s a good classic to pick up and play.
in my opinion, it boils down to two reasons: balances and additions. for an example of the former, take the baby faces blaster. the bfb in tf2 has a neat gimmick that is completely ruined by its downsides, primarily the -75% boost on double jump. in tc2, its buffs make it more viable and the game more variable and fun, as you can both have more variety in combat experiences as scout and as the opposing class. for an example of the latter, tc2 introduces many new weapons for classes. the specialist is a shotgun for scout which increase capture rate and clip size, at the cost of damage, which makes this weapon lean more into a hit-and-run type. also tc2 actually gets updates
@@brayonyx14 I see your points and do wanna raise, the stats for weapons in TF2 are made so you have to play around the weapon, not around the game, TC2’s system is less punishing on downsides so it’s more playing around the game than the weapon. My reasoning for seeing it this way? I play competitive TF2 with over 4000 hours with sniper, and 1000 in scout, and have learned a lot with other classes but those two are usually my most two played due to their weapons force more playstyle changes, I also have 500 hours in demoknight(demoman but sword and shield only + the Aladdin looking shoes so there are no guns), and I really like the changes.
the iron bomber feels. off? i cant really explain it but its not as reliable as it is in tf2 the projectile isnt exactly the same as it is in tf2 and it throws me off
I was looking for a source to confirm this. Since the iron bomber has a bigger hitbox in tf2, I wondered if the same glitch was present in tc2. I doubt it is though, as i can't find any documentation of it.
EVERYONE KNOWS TF2 IS FREE ITS PERFERENCE, i literally moved from tf2 to tc2 thats how good tc2, tc2 is f2p friendly, anything f2p players cant do in tf2 they can do in tc2

The reason the black death looks like that is because of a type of roblox sword called "Darkheart"
a thing you forgot on the elegant blade is that you dont need to pull it out to get the charge duration longer
15:51 the “katana” only heals 50 health or 25% in tc2
This was a change added after the video was made
now this is the quality content I live for
So you were the anniknight that went crazy
you forgot to mention that the genuine sticky jumper is the best weapon in the game
The black death's model is a refrence to a roblox game called Sword fight in the hights witch is a 9 year opd game that was very popular

The iorn bomber was renamed to "M1 garand"
They should revert the sticky bomb launcher in tc2
Agree
Keep up the good work 👍
i really love these
11:42 a lot of items in tc2 reference old roblox, that has the old roblox sword model, do not say this again i will come to your house
Tc2 tf2 heavy vs bruta weapons
