Thank you for the video, using your video I was able to replace the trane blower motor and it is up and running good. Like a previous comment would’ve like to have seen you connect up the wires but I was able to figure it out anyways thanks again.

I have a similar unit (an XB80) that is 12 years old. I had to get into it yesterday to troubleshoot fan issues. It looks like it was just a capacitor. I'll probably still replace the blower motor, but now I can wait until it's not 95F outside and Lord knows what in the attic.
But when I got in, it was spotless inside. I've been religious about using Filtrete 1000 MPR (or equivalent) filters. That may help prevent the mess you had in your furnace reoccurring.

I agree it would be helpful. I got to the end, got excited, and forgot to show that. Just remember where you took your wires from and hopefully your new unit is similar to reattach the wires without concern. I did learn that "park" are for wires that have no use. (Some units have speeds and mine does not).

Thanks. I have the same unit side ways in the attic. It will be a challenge to remove the fan.

Hey - just curious, what were the signs that indicated that you needed to replace the blower? My Trane furnace is blowing air, but it’s very lightly coming out of the vents and yesterday the pipes on the AC unit froze solid. I just let it all thaw, but I can’t get the air temp to drop below 79 degrees :(

My blower just stopped turning entirely. So it was pretty obvious. But if you have some animal or something that created a hole in your ventilation system, you would lose pressure. I don't really know much more than that. I am not a professional.
