FOUR CITY LIFEGUARDS EXTINGUISHED THE OCEANSIDE PIER FIRE as firefighters stood helplessly on the beach!!!! Fire trucks could not drive out onto the pier, and neither could firefighters. The fire chief never mentions that it was lifeguards, not firefighters that extringuished the fire!!! SHAMEFUL!!

Just put the fire out with all that nice shiny expensive tax payer funded equipment; boats, helicopters etc. What's with all the 'pats" on the back, selling the hero card, paising, recognition bla bla bla. Just do your job.
