- NOTE: You need to use batteries and battery pack and upgrade the exoskeleton and nosorog armors if you wish to use one and be able to sprint.
This is the next video in the how to gamma series , where I explain what armors to use at which points in the game , I did not cover every single armor in the modpack (obviously) , there's too many of them to cover and faction specific armors don't differ that much from their other faction brothers and sisters , so stats are similar. I did not cover all helmets I mostly covered the ones I think are good and you should get , of course you can use alternatives if you can't find the ones I mention in the video.

Guys there was a change in Gamma, you no longer get the Beril M5 Suit from Spirit, you get basic Tools instead by now.
While the Beril M5 was not the strongest mid game suit there is, it was to easy to get, considering it only costs you 7 full bottles of vodka and is strong enough to let you skip a few early game options and or even midgame suits.
Pinning this so people know as this guide was made months ago and I no longer play gamma since I switched to Tarkov. Thx for the notice

Hey fren, i am stuck on Beril M5 and can't find anything better. Monolith shreds me, while 5.45 does nothing to them... Also the 7.something caliber doesn't penetrate all that often. I am playin GAMMA. Question is: Where to farm for armor, what gun to repair (i don't have advanced toolss to make the advanced repair kit yet).

Get ammo tools, make ap 7.62x39 ammo for SKS. If you are poor af, get AP slugs and a decent shotgun.
@@user-cj2ug9dd3v I just found expert tools, 1 day ago. On the top of Pripyat caffee - white stash. Now i am armed to the teeth.
In gamma version of stalker, the best way is to acquire armor with more slots for artifacts. With 5 slots with mid-top artifacts you are pretty much unkillable even in average type of armor.
In terms of not dying and being stronger , yes but if you want to roleplay for example you will maybe stick to a certain type of armor

Progression of suits for me goes like this: from early to mid game - coats, light medium. Late to end game - heavy and then I start going down again to medium. Because once you get the artefacts and pelts - slots >>>> anything else
Depends on if you want to roleplay a certain character I suppose you can use whichever you like , obv most protection is good but for role playing purposes its secondary.
@@Woodskov451 until late or late-mid game all stats are important. Closer to end game main stats that matter for me personally is: speed, slots, psy, rapture and explosive. Ballistic can be fully mitigated by slot items.
Nomad is hence one of the most powerful suits in game. (EFP player)

I tried to kill monolith after turning off a brain burner and i had a mid-game medium armor (cause i still cant find calibration tools for crafting heavy armor toolkit). Got tired of everyone one-twoshotting me. Walking with a seva helmet and cant find anything better. Spent 3 hours straight. The same applies to snorks which destroy my ass in 3 hits (2 of which are instant)

I no longer play gamma unfortunately because i switched to tarkov and because of university i dont even have time to make any more videos.

Nice to see what's other players opinions are my best chois is early berryl with sphere 8 easy to find very early. Than spp5 from duty cheap easy to find with the self healing awesome. And late game proto exo sp9 I think from duty with spartan helmet nearly immortal with the solts right filled 👍

I found several exoskeleton in Gamma , but safly i did not had the book to male the Exo repairing kit...today i went for scouting purposes on Limansk and dropped the book; quickly run back to Rostok , fixed the Mercenary Exoskeleton+ Exo-Helm Just to find out Is worse than my Military Exosuit+ Apocalypse Helm...the difference was huge and was very expensive to repair.
When i said Huge difference i am only talking about BR and Rapture, with BR capped +Chimera Hide to overcap BR when the armor or Helm has been damaged and Rapture was enough on both Helm and armor (cause i tested It on truck cemetery vs double Lurker , 5 shots to kill me).
I was so excited about finally crafting/fixing my own Exoskeleton but in reality i prefer my setup...and my Carry Weight with a solid 143kg carry Weight and more than 47kg available for loot .
Maybe if i can put my hands on a Monolith Exoskeleton i change my mind but i am pretty much at the end of story mode and i dont see why should i invest time and resources on Exo .
That's my personal opinion about armor( honestly we fight humans 95% of the time and BR Is critically important the closest to North i move)
No mentions of barrier helmet? It is pretty much free idial midgame radiation/psy prot, and it appears only little bit less often then regular gas masks.

Dear author! What commands and in what sequence did you prescribe so that you would have access to this list of armor and weapons?
1) Open your MO2
2) Launch the game through the Anomaly Launcher
3) Tick Debug Mode and Save Settings by using the button
4) Launch the game from this launcher
5) In game, check on the bottom left if you have this "Debug mode"
then press f7 it should be
6)after pressing f7 navigate around the menus and you should be able to see spawn items or something(I haven't played gamma in months so I forgot the exact names) and spawn weapons or armors and whatnot
Is ballistic protection separated into head/body or just one calculation when you get shot?
Yes, they are if you get hit in the head while wearing a gasmask meanwhile you have a nosorog on your body, you'll most likely take a lot of head damage since the gasmask protects very little, if anything. You won't always get hit in the head , however the times you do be careful , make sure you're wearing a helmet with at least some protection.

Just the other day I was shot down like a dog by an Ecologist I had just talked with and it left me scratching my head, but a few minutes later I realized I forgot to tear off the bandit patch of n the armour I had just collected lol.
yeah such mistakes happen sometimes thats why I always tear the patches off instantly from any armor I find
Since you did armour, what about guns? What are the best to have early, mid, late game? What guns have the best stats overall? Which are better guns in 5.56, 9mm, 7.62, and the like?
In general 5.45 is the most widely spread together with 5.56 although 5.56 is a bit more expensive
for early game shotguns do a great job together with a pistol or smg of some kind usually 9mm does nice if you headshot people.
Mid and late game 5.56m4s and all that /5.45 or 7.62x39 aks do well and late game 7.62x51 guns smack everything around. Late game also is good with shotguns since they're always good in my opinion.

Please make a guide of repair Armour and weapons in gamma... Everything I loot is broken and if you can't buy anything from vendors I don't know what to do
Okay , so. Unfortunately I have not launched Gamma in months because of university I simply do NOT have the time to play any games so a video is surely not coming out anytime soon as much as I want to make videos.
From what I remember armors will always drop with low durability as to not make the game unbalanced example being you find a good armor early and its high durability and you're automatically OP. To repair an armor you need the proper armor repair kit I think and you need the proper materials to repair it(right click on armor and click details and scroll down to see its components) Armor repair kits have a limited durability , if the armor is lower durability than the minimum it will not appear in the workbench repair screen. Otherwise , if you have the needed materials and they are high durability(80 or 90% you can find them from stashes) go to a workbench and click on the repair screen , click the armor and it should appear in the menu and you can replace its components with the high durability ones. Similar to the gun repair in the video I made. I hope that helps you
The most economic way is to check what parts is your suit comprised of, and then disassemble other suits you find that have those same materials. Then you can use a mechanic vice to swap them out. All repair kits including the weapon repair kits have multiple versions and they all have a “repair form minimal %” stat as well as how much % they can repair in one charge. The highest tier sewing kits can repair certain suit materials so they can be used in the field.

These videos were made before the gamma mod blew up they were mainly made for the discord server so people will have guidence on what to do
The mod however blew up and I no longer play it nor will I make videos of it.
I don't hate it or anything I've simply moved onto racing games like Forza Horizon.

Hey bro, im in mid game and im trying to find some good armour. Some people said i can kill mercenaries to get some good armour but theres any way to buy it or obtain some armour from mercenaries?
In gamma you cannot buy armor from traders. If you're in the GAMMA discord server which you should be since it has every bit of information and answers to questions you might need. Disabling the mod that removes guns and armors from traders is a core mechanic of gamma. The entire modpack is build around that feature where you have to scavange for armors from dead enemies and if you have it disabled it makes everything a bit too easy. You can get mercenary armor from mercs and every armor from the respected faction. However there is a progression in gamma so you can't get a nosorog too early or any super strong armor because that tends to break the balance.

this looks and feels a lot like rebalance has been done here. to be frank, i only ever played the 3 og stalkers, clear sky most of the time and i remember that you were able to build a almost unkillable machine with the exo suit and the right combination of artefacts. from what i see in gamma, it feels like they wanted to create a triad and get rid of a jack of all trades. you can have good A, but then B and C will suffer. which i get, from the project perspective since it aimes to a be hardcore experience but that only leads to always having a selection of suits with you or forced you to walk all the way back to your loot chest and get the right armor for the right job, which, to me, feels like a chor and busywork, for the sake of realism. but i guess, its hard to find the right balance between realism, gameplay flow and balance and its a question of whats important to you, as the dev
One way to circumvent this is to have a companion carry your additional armor
Why is your armor stat different from mine ? Mine are way way lower
This is an older video so some armors stats may have been changed however...make sure your armor is 100% repaired you can also click CTRL to see as if the armor was full durability

and second thing is that i made these videos sort of in a hurry because during the time of making there were no other tutorials on gamma as the mod was not as popular so i figured i had to make something and didn't really think too much about quality and sound and stuff like that.

Yes , yes I got that a couple of times now that the recording volume is low. I didn't check it back then I did the videos on the fly with minimal setup and stuff so nothing is going to be perfect.

You need a special battery on your back in order to make the nosorog function properly. Without the battery your character is as slow as a turtle

@@elijahlees8655 Yes. but you get a lot of carry capacity that comes with the exo/nosorog which balances it out

Back when gamma was still growing there were 0 videos explaining armor and stuff so I decided to make one for the discord community and for the most part they said it helped em.
I have uni and stuff so I can't be bothered to remake them and edit them into a proper video. If you don't like it don't watch it.
