In Gujarat, govt provides free hostel facilities for students in every city. But the problem is there are no seats for general candidates, 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates, 30% for ST candidates, 45% for SEBC candidates and 10% for EBC candidates. It means 100% of the seats are reserved.

A question.
As per SC oder people belonging to creamy layer are not eligible for reservation as their economic standard has increased. Anybody earning nore than 6lakh is exempted.
Similarly if anyone is ST/SC and is appointed as an officer or earning more than 10lakh per annum should also be exempted as now his financial level has improved. But do we see such things..... Ans is NO.

Is this not against the spirit of reservation.
Due to this reason benefit of reservation is still not available to many as they don't get adequate opportunities.
Plz put light on this.
