For me, when Finn died, is like he took the best part of the show with him. He was really the spark and the heart of the show, even more than Lea... I still cry out loud every time I watch a Glee performance, but this one in particular I think is the best, it's kind of a 'good by song' to remember him forever like the guy who was always supporting everyone and wanted the show to go 'all over the place... or something' :p We love you Finn, and we will never forget you :'(

After Finn died, the writers had to scramble to rewrite a lot of the story line they had already mapped out and improvise on a lot of things, and it definitely showed.

This song was so special because in the story, the New Directions Lost sectionals because Marley passed out from her eating disorder. Then the club split up, and joined their own stuff (I think Blaine and Tina joined the Cheerios for a little bit) and no one believed in keeping the Glee Club alive except Finn and Marley. And this song is when they bring the New Directions back to life.
