@ScrambledBrains Glad to know someone agrees with me. She looks just like her singing: understated, nonflamboyant, clear, and altogether simply gorgeous, even angelic. I've been a fan of hers for awhile now, and never cease to be amazed when I hear and see her again.
I am going to request that this be played at my own funeral. No better way to float up to heaven with music like this. Phenomenal voice. Mozart IS the best composer ever.
@@mikeschneider1624 I did, actually, I got her email address from her website and sent her an email through the website. You know what - she actually took time to write back to me the very next day and it was a lovely email from her. I was amazed and touched to get a response and she is a lovely lady, and I cherish the email. I have a lot of her back catalogue now. Just because I did not to it here doesn't mean that I didn't do it at all. She didn't have to do that but I'm glad that she did. So, not only is she an incredible singer, but she also bothers to take time to write back to her fans. Perhaps you could do that yourself.
Each singer is different. I love Barbara Bonney but she’s not the only one to sing Mozart beautifully: Lucia Popp, Gundula Janowitz, Edita Gruberova Kathleen Battle for instance gave remarkable renditions of Mozart music.
@@oliviero.m750 Bonney has the best Mozartian technique. The rest of the singers you listed tend to “squeeze” on top. Bonney’s tops are as clear as a flute. And this is on top of having the smoothest legato.
Wow. This is beautiful. Also, this song was not written by Mozart. This was written by Jacobus Barbireau, in the year 1445. The 1400's! And it has lived on this long. Shame on Mozart for trying to take credit for this composition, because he did not write it, he just stole it from an ancient composer. It is gorgeous
@@ZeranZeran Stupidly I checked your "citation" and just as I suspected, you are lying. Why not clip the quote for me? Your claim is ridiculous as are you. Also, the rosetta stone?

It's one of the best performances I've heard!

May you live forever sir.
Omg.... beyond extremely beautiful
Thank God for youtube - I would never know about this beautiful music otherwise. I can feel this music physically in my body; it is so powerful.
Thank the artist first.

I am happy that this kind of art is in the World.
It speaks for us mere humans.
... and an artist!
Maravillosa❤
Stunning.
NO ONE sings Mozart like Bonney or can match her with it.

@MrTamzzin haha. Made me laugh too. My low needs a lot of work to get that kind of volume and clarity. What a range!
great job Barbara
Just one word: astonish
El culmen del arte apolíneo!!

Citation please. Primary sources only. If you are unable to do it then you are full of it(which we both know you are).
@@dudeforcaster8630 .. It's the first sentence about this song on Wikipedia, mate.
Also on the Rosetta stone.
What a load of nonsense, absolute rubbish. You have no idea what you're talking about.

if only this was a bit clearer, she should be standing closer to the recorder so I can hear her better
That is what you take away from this?
She’s not in a studio! That’s not an official recording but live music which is far more touching.
