I’m sad today, but it’s because both my kids are back at school, not because the holidays are over. My son went back to Law School the first week of the month and my daughter went back to college this past Saturday. I used to love the end of holiday time in January. We’d get all the decorations put away and have no more house clutter and get our lives back to our regular schedule. Now it means more that my kids are gone so I look forward to it less 😭😂 But in a week, I’ll be back to normal life. It’s just hard because they are home for longer over the holiday break and I get very used to having them around again! I LOVE the tones in Huetopian Dream. I’m excited to recreate this look. I love how you put a shade to match your sweater in the waterline! I also love your new earrings!
Ahhh I can totally understand that you will miss your kiddos. Wonderful that they were home for the holidays! Some day when Nikola is off to university I will be a sad mama panda 😢😂❤.
I'm not depressed the holidays are over at all. I just cleaned my house from all the Christmas decor, everything looks clean and fresh. Ahhhh .... Nice.....
I am very relieved when the holidays are over and the decorations are packed away. We always have a few special cheeses and wine to celebrate the occasion. This was a continuation of the Divine Rose series but I find that it has more contrast.
Friday nights are the best!! I have my own company so the holidays makes everything a mess for work and getting the service calls done so I do enjoy getting back into the routine post holidays. What I remember about the mother launches was disappointment over more pinks and golds if not the matte blacks 😮😅
Sunday sadness, yes! Saturday is always my favorite, because no work at all and no dreading work. 😂 I absolutely love this lewk and am going to try to replicate it! That green waterline is inspired and matches your sweater and earrings perfectly. The little detail of the malachite-looking earrings matching the green and black in the sweater, as well as on your eyes is complete chef’s kiss. 💋 I am a matchy-matchy person, I can’t help it!
I totally get you with that Sunday night feeling! I very much used to feel so down, even Sunday morning. Now I guess I have done this for so many many years and really love my job that I don't get the Sunday evening thing anymore. I do love Thursday's though as it means tomorrow is Friday! How funny
I actually worked during the holidays. Some days I did not work a full day. I did that because I was going to be with my family for my nephews wedding.coming to the east coast is wonderful. My sister lives in Charleston South Carolina. It is a very nice historic city. It has great restaurants.
Honestly working through the holidays has its perks but I also need to take some rest and I know as soon as everyone is back and things start rolling I will not be able to take time off. South Carolina sounds beautiful!

I like this! It’s not something I would have thought of with this palette. I really hope we get a mothership this year, one that’s like the original formula but completely different colours, a nice peachy, green, earthy one would be nice. We have decorations for a good 5 weeks or so as my son has a lot of special needs so if they were to be up for the ‘proper’ amount of time he’d only just be getting used to them then has to get used to them going away. By the time we take them down I’m ok with Christmas being gone! I also worked in a card shop when I was a teen and we had Christmas music through November and December so I have a love hate relationship with it all now 😂
I have Motherships 1-10. I *almost* didn’t buy 10 because of disappointment over lack of baked shades and color story similarities. I waited almost a year, but after watching a few more reviews, I decided I would like it after all. But number 11 is a big no for me. I won’t buy it even at a discount. I share the feeling of loss and disappointment that so many Pat fans have, that the glory days are over. This series has been so much low key fun, thank you for putting it together for us. ❤
I have never felt any regret over not getting Sunlit. Swatching it in person only further solidified my disappointment with it. We didn’t miss anything but that’s actually sad. I never thought we would get here…

Were you ever shy or self-conscious about wearing makeup to work? I think you are (in academia?)… kinda academia adjacent (?)- and I get nervous about wearing makeup to work. I would like to especially because I love sparkling shadows (one and dones). But, lacking confidence lol
Mine lasts until May because that's when the weather in NL starts to look up haha. Yes, I am deep in academia. I am a postdoc, wet lab biomedical sciences. Maybe at first...especially because when I started wearing makeup more actively I went full on rainbow for the first 5-6 years..I chilled on the colours only in the last few years. People commented but mostly positively and in the end of day, why does it matter what they think?! If I do my job well, who cares how much glitter I have on my face. And I love breaking the cliche...being into "superficial" things like beauty does not make me less smart or capable. Wear it out and proud, and just walk in the room with confidence. Fake it till you make it!!!

Hmm there are very few shades that I actually dislike and I usually find ways to use them anyway so I don’t think that would make for exciting content.😊
There is so much overlap between the palettes. If you took out all the redundant shades you could have 10- 6 pan palettes and saved a ton of money. Personally, I think that is disrespectful to do to her loyal customers.
While I understand the disappointment, I think it’s important to understand that a business does not really sit around a table like a group of toddlers and think hmmm how can we stick it to the loyal customers 😉. We the customers can also decide not to purchase products that don’t appeal to us.
