I am completely drawn in to this cerebral, complex, enigmatic narrative. Almost at halfway point and beginning to form theories of what will unfold. Strangely, the summary where one clicks "more" is a completely different story and thus yields no clues Know how your mind starts working furiously as the story goes on trying to figure it all out, how things are never as they seem and never the obvious? Yep, that's what's starting to happen. I may end up finishing without a break, just gotta' find out 😮
Psychology professor Jackie Strelitz thought she was over her ex-lover and colleague, Harlan Crispin. Why should she care if Harlan springs a new “friend” on her? After all, Jackie has everything she ever wanted: a loving husband and a thriving career. Still, she can’t help but be curious about Harlan’s latest. Nasira Amari is graceful, smart, and young. Worse, she’s the new member of Jackie’s research team. For five years, Harlan enforced rules limiting his relationship with Jackie. With Nasira he’s breaking every single one. Why her? Fixated by the couple, Jackie’s curiosity becomes obsession. But she soon learns that nothing is quite what it seems, and that to her surprise-and peril-she may not be the only one who can’t let go.
Not a bad story but it has taken 7 hours for something interesting to happen …. Anyone have any good recommendations of mystery/thrillers with multiple protagonists?
Completely satisfying listen.. excellent narration…human voices, not AI….and superb story line.
Thank you! Love the narration.

Confessions
Great book. There’s a bit of a spoiler alert below.
Thanks🇿🇦
3 hrs in & nothing is happening. I'm giving it another hour & thats it.
It would be nice if narrators used foreign accents consistently, rather than whenever they happen to think to do so
Narrator is pleasant to listen to, but wouldn't go searching for anything else by this author. Far less chapters could have covered everything.
4hrs 55min.
Way too many words. Could’ve been half as long. And almost every sentence begins with Jackie. Ugh! Ruins the story. Not sure I can finish.
Drags on and on and on…
