@@Pidge143 I had this same thought after discovering some of Venom's reactions for the first time in the last few days. The connection with Ren must happen at some point. Also, loved the spotting of the seagulls in the background on this one. You hear them in one or two of Ren's other videos as there are so many of the damn things in Brighton.

Ren said that during filming Violets tale some one opened a window and screamed "Will you shut the f**k up!". So yea they had to retake that one 😂

Definitely one of the best reactions that I have watched for this absolute masterpiece by Ren. I have watched the Tales many, many times and I still tear up. As a former victim advocate, homeless shelter worker and survivor this trilogy is spot on to the stories I heard and experienced. Ren is an exceptional talent. We are all blessed to have found his art.
Jenny quiet like her mother and screech violent like his father all done live and in one take .. genius

I'm sorry, but it's definitely not. I know reacting to things is about to talk what u see, but in some cases it's way better to be quiet and talk afterwards. At least the Part in Violets Tale. Do u rly mean the words, special when Steavie hit her, do not speak for themselfes and there is something that urgent to explain to pause the vid every single word? U have to pause every second cause u think u have to explain something everyone got in the fist place? I mean it's not an Eminem song where every line has 3 or 4 different meanings. To me it destroyed the story. Sorry to say that.
@@LauKaMo Well, first of all, you've seen the warning, he said he will pause a lot, so you can't really complain about that. Moreover, reacting is all about expressing what goes through your mind during the content, and expressing your thoughts during it.
So it makes a lot of sense for him to pause, especially since he doesn't know there will be a big twist at the end, so he paused the same way he did before.
Then again, he also stopped posing for 20-30 seconds in the end until the big twist, which shows he was still fascinated by the song and the storytelling, and instinctively felt like he had to let it run.
It was my favorite reaction, he gave the most insights and had the best reactions and thoughts I've seen of those clips.
@@LauKaMoI hear you. I thought it was going to be long bc of some in depth analysis. It's long bc he doesn't know when to STFU. He's re-explaining, what Ren JUST EXPLAINED! "Her father never left the room and he's not telling us what happened, leaving us to read between the lines" RIGHT AFTER Ren said, "I'll spare you of the things he did..." and he did this MULTIPLE TIMES. Don't think I saw his Hi Ren reaction and I certainly won't go looking for it. React to comment on what you see and maybe a prediction but not to explain what the video is in the middle of explaining!!!

Your disbelief at the twist 😂 Yep, Ren did that. He is a genius. And an absolutely brilliant modern day bard. The way he tells stories with such vivid imagery pulls you in and makes Violet’s Tale physically uncomfortable at times. A horrific trilogy of tales but important to tell.

Did violet know she was having twins? We'll never know. Did she say "let my baby stay alive" or "let my babies stay alive"? Clever writing Ren.
I had a similar thought, though the lyrics provided by Ren in the singular Violets Tale upload have "please let my baby stay alive" and this adds to the shock when we are told they are twins.
Into Ren: 10 days in.
Given the type of Man who beat her... she probably didn't get to go to the Doctor for an ultrasound! So... she just assumed A Single baby!
She's dead, hes in prison for her death... babies separated in foster care...

@@Shneedlewoods_ As a native English speaker, the more I hear it, the more it sounds like baby. And from that, I draw that Violent knew she was pregnant but, just like the doctor, did not know there were twins and nor did the 'storyteller' until they lay 'side by side' after they were born.

Yes! This is a Greek or Shakespearean tragedy for modern times & so ingeniously done. Ren is amazingly multitalented. Gobsmacked is a Brit term that I think is perfect to describe a reaction to everything Ren.
Ren hit us with an end first and beginning last. He pulled a George Lucas Star Wars on us.

Also Violet knew she was having twins "please let my babies stay alive" it is ambiguous she could be saying "baby stay alive" - she might have been quiet but she would have been a good mum I reckon and knew she was having twins.
The two zero zero five reference in violets tale refers to the year 2005 when it all happened (Violet's death and the birth of the twins).
The tale of Jenny and Screech came out in 2019. Fourteen years late.

@@snakevenomv and the twins born from violet may have been her fathers, that might be why she left. To keep them safe. And they would have ended up in care. They might know they had a twin but never meet. They might not even know that though, if they were adopted.

Awesome reaction! Take out the "N" in Violent and you get Violet. It's crazy how he has so many hidden Easter eggs. Another was his boy Patrick not being home and his girlfriend being busy, because they were together.
Great reaction! 2 things to think about; What was Jenny at 14 doing out late at night in high heels walking a path she'd walked a thousand times before? I knew I wasn't the only one that though of Jenny's "job" retrospectively, that's what she wanted to escape: a life of violence and sexual abuses... just like her mother.

Ren didn't come up with Violet's Tale until years after Jenny and Screech's Tales. The newscast he based it on was about a prostitute killed by a teenager. But it pretty much works to make Jenny 14 for the most part. Ren figured out how to make his old music even more impactful by adding this final tale.
You did SUCH an amazing job picking out all of the details ~ whether it was camera work, 3rd person/1st person approach, or all the minutiae of Ren's (and Sam's) work. Bravo all the way around!

Yes! This should be a full stage show. If you haven't already seen 'Crutch' ft Bibi (his girlfriend at the time) I strongly advise it - another complete work of pure artistry that should be on a stage. It's beautifully tragic and exposes Ren's psychotic mind. You'll love it - I promise ❤

I think you caught everything - this was such an in depth reaction. The one other thing was at the very end when he delivers the Jenny Screech reveal he acts like he is going to strum but doesn't signifying the whole thing is done

It explains why he said "two zero zero five" a few times, as if that was somehow important. 2005. The tale of Jenny & Screech was released in 2019... exactly 14 years after Violet died... and the twins were born.
Screech mirrored his fathers violent side, jenny her mothers quiet side.
And Jenny was also living a life of sexual abuses that she finally escape in death like her mother.

What I took from Violet breaking her silence was that she abandoned her protective mannerisms of staying quiet to save her children, also portraying the unconditional love of a mother for her children even before they are born. Putting the wellbeing of her children before her protecting herself and even staying alive herself. I think Ren did a wonderful job portraying that in a single verse. What a masterpiece!
Edit: Additionally, in the way he portrayed all the characters, you can tell that Jenny inherited her mother's characteristic features and Screech inherited his father's.

Congratulations! I have watched several dozen reactions to the Tales Trilogy. You are the first one I have encountered to comment on something I caught on the first viewing of Screech's Tale; Sam's use of the camera to show us the light leaving Screech's eyes. Ren and Sam may be the most gifted musicians/film makers/engineers ever to produce music videos.
Don’t you love the way Ren shows violence for what it is, nasty, chaotic & ugly. CNN will no doubt accuse him of glorifying violence soon.

I also think that Jennys life really wasn't going well either with her wanting to escape, high healed shoes and Can you Blame lyrics. The intuition she was having on the night and possibly the way she looked at Screech both could be a clue as to perhaps their physical likeness and the the twins intuition stuff!

As long as this was, thank you and yes I appreciate it, I've yet to see anyone also show 'Screeches Instagram Stories' which shows Screech and his friends before he came across Jenny, and 'In morte, ut in vita, numquam partiemur' which is a short video showing what happened to Screech after officer Richard, did what he did.
Great reaction! You did a great job analyzing and picking up on a lot of the subtle things Ren baked into this tale. After listening to this a few times it struck me about how “Stevie” was an abusive prick (like screech became) and Violet was a silent victim of abuse (like Jenny frozen like a statue) when Screech attacked her. Ren is the modern bard we need. Unbelievable talent and creativity.

Great reaction, as I was expecting. Still, even you did not predict the plot twist at all. He stirs so much emotion with Violet's tale to make us lose track and stop thinking rationally, so that we won't catch it and nobody does. Also listening to it for the second time one sees how he is carefully drawing parallels between Jenny and Violet and Stevie and Screech. Also, "he paint her black and blue" - black and blue is violet.

I love these tales so much. Ren is a master of storytelling and music. I really enjoyed your reaction. When Ren goes outside and is switching between being the narrator and Stevie in Violet's tale, the empathy you saw was, I think, Ren as narrator, rather than the character Stevie. Also, when you talk about the harmony of Ren's singing, I think you probably mean melody?

Wonderful reaction! You called out a number of things I had paid no mind to, especially Ren and Sam’s use of light and darkness. I suggested that you react to Genesis earlier. I’m sure you eventually will, but as you leapt straight into the artist’s tragic triptych it may behoove you and your followers to sup upon more festive Renditions. I suggest Ren - Love Music #3 or him and his band, The Big Push doing Manu Chao’s Bongo Bong. The first is another Ren tour de force while the latter is pure monkeying joy and perfectly, perfectly captured and released.

This has to be THE very best reaction video on UA-cam. The levels of concentration upon every single nuance of the tales is unparalleled by any other " reactor ". I absolutely love how intensely involved you get with the most miniscule of detail ; paying such attention to the cinematography, the poetry, the musicality, the improvisational methods, the acting, the melodies ...... the WHOLE plot ! and the all important enormous twist at the end.
