Your Elite Velour pads with the DT 1990s are a superb investment if you mix music and audio. They cut that harsh 8.5 kHz spike that appears generic with Beyerdynamic headphones, but without altering the original sound too much. They can be worn for hours on end without any fatigue and fit snug if you wear glasses, as I do. I'm looking to purchasing a pair of pads for my DT 770s, so this video has been informative, thanks. However, I need to look at the response charts and do some further research before I buy. Fantastic products guys!
After trying a lot of pads, I ended up with the Elite Fenestrated Sheepskin for my DT 1990 Pro. The package of sound and comfort is amazing. I also got the ZMF Pilot Pad, which enhanced comfort to 13/10. Thank you Dekoni for your amazing pads.
I love Elite Velour for my Beyer T1 1gen. Takes edge and harshness out of sound and makes them very comfortable. Soundstage is the same which is most important for me.
I have the Dekoni Velours on my Audeze LCD-2C and they are a major upgrade over the stock pads. The 2C have a dark signature and the highs are a bit subdued. Now they have the same lush transparent mids but with highs that are more free to breathe for a more engaging experience(on an already great headphone)....it really woke them up, I feel. Surprisingly, I think the bass has gotten a bit punchier, as well..which is welcomed on this open back headphone. Once my Beyer 770's(my daily driver) need pads... I'll go Dekoni, as well.
Currently reviewing the LCDXC, with the dekoni suede, lambskin elite, it’s an absolute game changer price the performance ratio is off the chain, was running it on the ZMF pendant today, I think it might win 2021 award for best Price to performance ratio Much love boys, thank you for sending over the pads for review
I want me some of those plaid pads for my 1990's but last time I ordered I got absolutely owned by import fees and taxes getting them to Canada. Make Headphone Bar stock these PLEASE Dekoni! I dont wanna spend $130+ on pads!
Theres a cutout on the side where you slide the lip of the pads onto make sure you push towards the flat side and not the curved side slips right on after you stretch them a bit.
My experience with the original pads is that the velour has great clarity but not enough bass while the leatherette has plenty of bass but at a cost with clarity. Dekoni's sheepskin brings the bass back but at a loss in clarity. The fenestrated pads brought the clarity back but lost so much bass. I've been pondering a purchase of the hybrids but after watching this, I think I'm going to purchase the velour. Maybe that's because the foam is thicker in the Dekoni pads than it is in the original Beyerdynamic stock pads. The suede sounds promising.
I want more bass, but also don't want to sacrifice any high detail (brightness). I was already thinking about cutting out your piece of fabric you put on the back. But I'm unsure what pads would offer the best bass, while retaining as much of the highs as possible. I don't want to lose any detail.
what the right choise for DT880 600Ohm with the target to keep the sound as close as possible to the factory but with confort improvment over those horrible stock pads?
I got the elite velour pads for my DT770 but i feel the bass is noticeably reduced and the highs are way too pronounced. Can I fix it or should I return then? Because I absolutely love the comfort. The stock pads are way too narrow for me
I got 2nd hand, Beyerdynamic T5p 2ng Gen., got elite velour and I like them, but still was wondering maybe need to try something else. Also I don't know, did I did good or no, but I cut out "inside the net" to make a hole, like originals doesn't have that ...
Excellent and informative video! DMS your hair looks a little like rooster in the back today. :D I'm definitely going to order some Elite Velours for my DT-1990
I have the Elite Velour, but after a year or so of everyday use, the foam has become sagged or squashed together to the level, that they are only as deep as the originals now. :( I was expecting them to last longer

Did you had to EQ them on sheepskin ones? I heard leather ones changing sound significantly and it needs EQ to make it sound better than stock pads.

I pretty much have all the DT pads and the Suede’s are my go-to for my closed back 177X!

Good stuff folks.
I'm always wondered why Dekoni won't ship to the UK, they make some really nice pads so it's a shame.

Hi. Can you make some pads for HarmonicDyne Zeus ?

I would recommend going with the Hybrid pads!

DMS kinda has the alfalfa from our gang look going for him LoL

We have a two year warranty. Feel free to fill out a warranty claim form at DekoniAudio.com/returns
What mini xlr cable are you using?
Bayerdynamic needs to change the way their pads go on. It is ridiculous.
They did. In recent revisions there's a little notch cut that makes it super easy to fit pads now.
Anyone have good recommendations for the 770 pro with better isolation?
We find that Choice Suede isolates well as it has an irregular fuzzy surface.
@@DekoniAudio well give those a look. Thanks!
Tried pad swapping with DT880. It changes things for the worst. The mod has to be done internally. Dampen the cup.
The DT880 already has a lot of dampening.
how easy is it to install them tho lmfao
