Hi Doc: No, I'm not a Brevardian - I'm a gulf coast surfer. However, I travel over to the east coast a lot. A friend told me about Tommy's shop & I was amazed after seeing his board shapes & meeting him - a cool guy. He's making me a Tommy Evans Model a/k/a Right Coast Model.

I need to learn to surf one of these! I dont know how to surf at all, but riding a longboard looks like it would fit my laid back lifestyle alot more than the faster paced short board style.

I sort of learned how to longboard in Oahu several years ago...then moved to SoCal, bought a longboard and have kind of forgotten how to do it! Frustrating! It's a sure thing that I don't get out in the water enough though (like at Tourmaline). I'm wondering something about my board; I think I need a wider stabilizer fin...the one I have is NARROW! and I have a fricken hard time staying balanced. Help a guy out with some comments!! I wanna keep trying to learn this...
