This is awesome, your building style is so cool, and the fact that it’s all blueprints makes it even cooler. I’m having a bit of difficulty understanding exactly how the manifolds work, but I’ll definitely check out the blueprints to find out, thanks! 🙏
the simplest way to explain manifolds is that they connect everything one after the other. so the first building in the line gets half the full speed of the input, and the other half goes down the chain then the next building gets half of that (a quarter of the total input.) etc... so the first building needs to fill up for the next one to get almost the full belt speed. and basically only the first 3-4 buildings that aren't full will be filling up.
@@satibel You need to saturate manifolds. The last splitter will output your full belt speed as long as every splitter before it is backed up. If the output matches the input, it'll never saturate. You can turn off production to build up material.
I absolutely love this video - it speaks to the way I (aspire to) play! I would love a video of how you run connections between your modular factories without it getting messy. For example, merging iron ingots from a group of mine/ingot factories, and getting those resources to a mid-tier item factory. My conveyor lines always end up messy and in contrast to my attempted neat modular factories.
I've played satisfactory since it first came out on steam and I can't decide if zooping or blueprints are my favorite additions, but they were both completely game changing. I hope they add Y axis nudge for BP placement, and a 5x5 grid would be sweet.
Oh boy 5x5x5 would be wild. It is not even the case with horizontal axis, but in vertical axis it is an extra floor! Quite huge for the bigger machinery like blenders, refineries and manufacturers. They are quite awkward in 4x4.
I dont expect them to add 5x5 blueprint planners or vertical nudge. They seemed quite stubborn on these. However, the modding community isnt. There are mods that provide you with larger blueprint planners and vertical nudge.
@@ichVIII don't understand not adding vertical nudge. At least for the blueprint creation itself. I recently got to blueprints for the first time and I placed foundations for alignment and found out my blueprint was floating 😅 so I had to go back and remake it using the floor's own indicators. And I doubt vertical nudging is complicated with the internal coordinates
I've seen your modular factory videos before, always impressive and inspiring. Will probably try to do a blueprint focused design for a new world when 1.0 drops. I always find myself wanting to utilize vertical space when building and I think designing with blueprints in mind will help with that.
Incredible video! I can't wait to use some of this in my 1.0 playthrough! I've just started steel production/coal power, so I'm still using the spaghetti method until I get a little further lol. Soon though!
They do indeed. Also it can change at any time with a patch rendering this trick useless. And when you need to connect lift to a socket, you still have the same height restrictions. So conveyor lift holes are still necessary.
Are these blueprints available somewhere? I'm trying to come up with stackable blueprints myself but i can't figure out practical ways of spacing things out on the inside, i'd love to take a closer look in-game at these to figure out how you've done it, cause these are amazing!
Thank you for making life easier for us! You are great! Do you have any blueprints that contain Copper Sheets and AI Limiters? Also what about oil products? Cheers!
I never use preset swatches for blueprints. They are bound to save, not blueprint. Only custom swatch can retain the color when exported into other save file.
Hi! I like your style! I must say you have some good looking blueprints going on! On the technical level i think we are about the same though. I did a lot of vertical stacking blueprints before but changed to horisontal only. I think the vertical building kills the beauty of the game. I like seeing the endless rows of items going into the machines. As a tip (maybe you have been doing this): you can stack big blueprint builds without going manifold. Just use a smartsplitter with overflow going back to mainbelt and then strangle the input to the floor to needed size.
Оно поломано для РФ (ссылка). Да и не имеет это особого смысла. Реалистично нужно тратить на это много времени, которого не особо много. Тем более это закрытая бета с НДА, а не ранний доступ для инфлуенсеров.
"personal storage"? yeah they ruined that necessity with the mercer sphere update lmao. cool though just no longer useful. only those modular blueprints and such have me interested.
On the contrary it is better than ever, it is natural expansion for any personal storage system. Maximum upload rate of dimensional uploaders is only 240 items per minute. It is no where near my average consumption of concrete, steel, silica, quartz and plates when I am building. So buffers is still necessity, making any dimensional depot uploader technically a personal storage first. Dimensional depos only nullify personal storage if you have free overflow in normal factories to place depos, but then why you do have free overflow and do not convert it into higher tier items?
@@Yakez42 i am no where close to needing 240 a minute. the personal storage you're advocating is a little misplaced since the modularity does not become realistic with limited mercer spheres. when I said it ruined the necessity I really meant it. up until the end game you wont need these types of blueprints and a basic factory connected to a basic depot into a dimensional depot would dispense with the overt solution of a universal location for all items. its a cool idea but you are not seeing the early-mid game relevance or irrelevance rather. the majority of the time I will not have the input, and, when I do have the input, I will not need the output. does that make sense? I hope so because the gameplay is not aligning with your over-engineering most of the time. cool idea. it would take me 20...30?...40+ hours of intense repetitive exploration to get the upgrades you say are not enough. when mercer spheres are manufacturable then we have might not even care entirely. until then, yeah you will need that silica and whatnot for the pointless aesthetics and the extra flooring that would otherwise not be needed because you aren't using a blueprint constantly. also if you have a modular base why would you even care about centralization?
"Would you even care about centralization?" Well the answer is simple. You sort of answered it yourself. mercer spheres are limited. You cannot spam them to have like 2k concrete per minute upload rate. And this is like average concrete consumption I have when I build something of substance. So my over engineering is actually UNDER engineering for the way I play the game. And without buffers dimensional uploaders are just a joke. What you intent to do with a stack of HMF for example? Place like 5 blenders every 20 minutes? It just does not work unless you add big enough buffer to cushion production output with upload rate and overall space-time of gameplay. Physical access to personal storage buffers is still a thing, well unless if you are building at a snails pace.
This game gets blueprints wrong. They shouldn't be constrained by the size of a BP maker building. Should be like the old mods: just selectable in-world. So stupid...

maker spaces already exist all over the world, but the desire for disposable trendy bs will never go away, and it has nothing to do with China's manufacturing abilities. just look at the gaming industry for all you need to know
The real reason their products are cheaper is because china pays workers less and they use cheaper worse materials. People buy those products because everyone wants to get a better deal. It doesn't matter that in reality they aren't, they can't afford much with the high cost of living and wage stagnation.
10:42 I tried to make one from what I imagine the inside probably looks like. I can run a Tier 3 mine pore, normal, pure. With 1 / 2 / 3 stacks respectively.
