According to some sources, the crispy incarnation of the Master is actually the same Master as the Tremas and Bruce incarnations. He basically kept stealing bodies and merging personalities, using technologies and magic and stuff to keep himself alive, then eventually losing and reverting to crunchy mode. How he got burnt is a whole other story! Some say he was normal then got burnt, others say his skin melted as he regenerated, and others still claim he's Delgado but burnt, and I think one says he regenerated burnt then eventually got healed.

Like if we only count New Who, then Miracle Day both is and isn't canon. There's also a lot more like that just in New Who. Then add in Classic Who and it gets worse, which is before you throw in anything from the EU, which is why I just love to consume as much Who media as possible, just so I know as much as I can about the problems within it.
The Geoffrey Beevers Master as seen in The Keeper of Traken is the same as the Peter Pratt incarnation from The Deadly Assassin. This latter body is supposed to be the Delgado Master. At the end of the events of Traken, the Master absorbs the body of Tremas, a body which is later destroyed, as mentioned in the Big Finish story Dust Breeding. As such, the Master returns to his emaciated form. It's a similar trick he pulls in the TV Movie, albeit in the form of a morphic serpent. After he falls into the Eye of Harmony, seemingly destroying Bruce's body, he eventually reverts back into his Beevers incarnation. There are other stories which go into more detail, but that's the basic gist of it. The reason for the Geoffrey Beevers Master appearing in Big Finish as opposed to Anthony Ainley, who was still around at this time, is that Ainley was being difficult, stating "there are many Doctors but only one Master". Realising they were fighting a losing battle, Big Finish enlisted Beevers's help and the rest is history.
Actually, the Decayed Master is a different incarnation from Delgado's (atleast in every account except Legacy of the Daleks). We see Delgado's Master regenerate in the comic Doorway to Hell and the Two Masters features a flashback to a non-burnt Decayed Master.
I'd forgotten about Doorway to Hell, although that cliffhanger has yet to be resolved. It's possible that that's when he becomes the non-burnt Beevers incarnation, who would later become horribly disfigured and then attempt to destroy Gallifrey.

Davis I know the entire point of this is to show there is no canon so stop trying but one of the nice ways I like to deal with these dumb contradictions is that everytime the Doctor resets the universe they're basically fucking up and things don't go back 100% they were. Those are the points where contradictions occur until the next reset Time being relative to the observer and all that. It does kind of portray this ancient timelord as some sort of horrific meddling eldritch abomination though who maybe we might be better off without....but hey who knows.

Ok what i believe happens with beevers is that after one of the master's stolen bodies sees the painting "The Scream" (as explained in the big finish audio "Dust Breeding" i think) it couldnt handle the power of it and he became the crispy but not too crispy master (i think he got healed from deadly assassain crispiness in keeper of traken???? idk i havent seen it lol) once more and then in the time war he got his regenerations back. Again this could be vastly incorrect but this is what i gather from a light listening.

The explanation of the Moon’s origin involving the (proto) planet Theia is the actual currently accepted theory about his it formed. So that was a case of the writers putting in actual science. Also, love the random use of the Yu-Gi-Oh! OST. 👍
You missed a Beevers out there in that list. The Ainley master reverts BACK into Beevers when his Trakenite body is stripped from him in Dust Breeding. Then it’s Roberts who later reverts back AGAIN, before getting his new regeneration cycle and finally going into Macqueen. So it goes Dreyfus>Delgado>Scabby>Beevers>Ainley>Beevers>Roberts>Beevers>Macqueen>Jacobi>Simm>Gomez>Dhawan.
Another interesting one is that The Power Of Three kinda happened mid-pandemic, whilst simultaneously not happening during the pandemic (due to happening partly in 2020, but also actually in 2013), as well as The Hungry Earth being 100% set in 2020, with Amy and Rory ignoring rules to stay at home by travelling to Wales to wave at their younger selves.
I find it odd that the Master that looks the most like a burned black pudding has also been the Master that FUCKS. Also his Mafia tale is great, from him just fucking around and backstabbing people to getting screwed over by the person he's inhabitting's kid (And, no, he wasn't Crispy during the Mafia tale, he was bodyhopping from father to son) in a concrete tomb.
Here's my thoughts on the timeline for Geoffrey Beevers Master. That incarnation of the master was always around when he took the bodies of Tremas and Bruce for example. Like in Dust Breeding, he explained that his Tremas body was destroyed by the warp core which reduced him back to his decayed Geoffrey Beevers form. Following that would be Master and then after that his execution at the start of the TV movie. Then the events of Mastermind and finally Planet of Dust. It's not definitive as I'm going by what I've listened/watched but it does make sense in my opinion
The Master one gets worse. There are THREE Beever Masters! We got the one that often faced Four, then Anthony Ainley, then in "Dust Breeding" Seven faces Beever again but AFTER the Ainley incarnation. Turns out a plan of The Master went pretty baddly and The Master lost his stolen body, returning back to decaying version of. Then I can presume he stole a view more bodies, got executed by the Daleks, and then the The TV Movie happends, and then things get even more confusing thanks to the Bruce version popping up a few times on his own, and then "Mastermind" he's Beevers again, and then he finally dies for real and reegenerates into the Bald Master that would turn out to have created the his burnend incarnation in the first place.

The only explanations I can think of for the Beevers conundrum is that the Master just really wants to look like Geoffrey Beevers for some reason, but always ends up getting his face horribly burnt; Beevers played the Pratt Master in Keeper of Traken and a different one in every other story; or he just keeps having to revert to his decayed Beevers form in-between stolen bodies, making it so that that one exists throughout the same period of time as a bunch of other ones.
Honestly I could never bring myself to part with the idea that the crispy master happened because the master tried to regenerate past the timelord limit. It’s just so perfect for the master and where they were at that point as a character, and the scene in the comics where it happens is just perfect
Regarding masters changing skin condition he gets himself fixed up repeatedly and also scarred as well spend a fortune in skingrafts plastic sugary and nanogenes it's a bit of a running gag
the (burnt) master is an incarnation who originally looked like geoffrey beevers. when he takes on anthony ainly's body, he's simply wearing the body but still the beevers incarnation. same think with the snakeworm morphant and then eric roberts. he doesn't regenerate into alex macqueen until day of the master
I think there's one story where the Crispy Master says every time he steals a body (which his thirteenth incarnation did way too many times), he always ends up reverting to the Beevers body. I wouldn’t know which one though.
In regards to the Geoffrey Beavers Master, every Master between Delgado and Macqueen is Geoffrey Beavers master posessing a different body... Whenever those hosts die he reverts to the Geoffrey Beavers Master once again until he can find a new body... Eventually he dies for good as the crispy master, but is very promptly given a new regeneration cycle to fight the coming Timewar... So the answer is, depending on how you look at it, either there are multiple Beavers' Masters or Ainley, Roberts, and possibly others are all the same incarnation of the Master filtered through the personalities of the bodies he is in.
Okay so the thing with master and his family is basically that he doesn't have a proper body still so he takes over the bodies of humans and after a while each body he takes over deteriorates into the crispy master. So he sets up this scheme where he transfers himself into his sons body each time the son has a kid to survive for multiple generations.
Stage 6 of watching Sam's videos: You start seeing more good things about Kill the Moon Stage 7: You start wondering if you like Kill the Moon I think I'm at stage 6 atm... What the hell happened?
To elaborate further on the Master setting himself on fire, it's his future self (the Alex Macqueen version) going back in time and deliberately setting his previous self on fire in order to trick a cult who worship a crazy ancient Time Lord that his past self is dead, when he obviously knows that his past self survives survives the crispification. Some highlights from the scene are the Macqueen Master seeing his past self and saying he'd almost forgotten what his former self looked like before becoming crispy, and he delivers a great line where he finally remembers what it was that burned him in the first place - himself.
With the Master I think the two crispies are supposed to be the same Master, he possesses Ainley, then becomes his weird worm thing and possesses Roberts, then at some point that body breaks down and he becomes crispy again. Or maybe it was the Ainley body that breaks down, who knows lmao

The Geoffery Beevers Master is a base form that he degrades to at the end of his life, and taking over someone's body, like Tremas in the Keeper of Traken or the mob boss, only prolongs the inevitable, so he eventually reverts to that form as he gets older. Big Finish establishes that it's not a specific incarnation in the Monthly Range audio Dust Breeding.
I always thought because beevers stole ainley boddy that once ainley died he just lost his body and went back to being beevers so he just constantly goes back to being beevers until he gets a new cycle and becomes Alex McQueen

Essentially, due to the fact he's out of lives, the Decayed Master steals bodies, but these bodies aren't proper Regenerates, and they ultimately breakdown, resulting in the Master being back in their true Decaying form again. The easiest away to think of it is that Ainley and Robert's Masters are just skinsuits worn by the Decaying Boi.
The Beevers Master used Tremas as a skin puppet and escaped it when the Tremas body was destroyed. He then had a few stories that take place before the TV Movie and involve the Seventh Doctor. Then after the events of the TV Movie, the Master sorta split into two with the Roberts Master being trapped in the Vortex and Crispy in the Eye of Harmony. Eventually in Day of the Master, The Beevers incarnation gets killed by the Ravenous and that marks the end of the run of the Master until he gets resurrected by Time Lords.

I actually figured out how to classify all the masters UNIT enemy Master (Delgado) regenerates into Corpse Master mk 1 (Pratt/Beevers) possesses Nyssa's dad (Ainley) that body gets destroyed by Scream (yes the painting lmao) in Dust Breeding so we are at Corpse Master Mk 2 He possesses another body that is destroyed at start of the TV Movie, having eaten a Deathworm Morphant that allowed him to possess humans and become Bruce Master (Roberts) That gets destroyed somewhere down the line and we are at Corpse Master mk 3. THAT version finally regenerates thanks to war master, bruce master and missy in Day of the Master into Bald Master (Alex McQueen) Undated, that master regenerates seemingly into kid War Master from the comics (?), who is artificially aged/regenerates into true War Master (Jacobi) and then it's Saxon and Missy.
Ok so numbering the Master's incarnations: Cycle #1: Hughes, Parker, and Dreyfus - #1 #2-#11 - Unseen Delgado - #12 Beevers (and Pratt) - #13 Ainsley - #13 (still the Beevers Master, just existing in Ainsley's body) Beevers again - #13 (after the Ainsley body is stripped from him prior to the events of the story Dust Breeding) Tipple - #13 (still Beevers but in a stolen body, this part is more vague) Roberts - #13 (still the Beevers incarnation in another stolen body) Beevers again - #13 (reverts back to his true form before being saved by the Time Lords/other incarnations of himself working for them and given a new cycle) Cycle #2: MacQueen - #14 Jacobi - #15 Simm - #16 Missy - #17 (presumably) Not too much lore to go off of for Dhawan yet, and left out some of the comic incarnations who are questionably canon. But essentially, the Master is still in the 13th incarnation of his first cycle (Beevers) throughout all the events until he becomes MacQueen, just inhabiting stolen bodies which are either eventually destroyed or deteriorate.

I like the idea that the Master keeps turning back into Beavers post Survival (Dust Breeding) and the TV movie (Mastermind). Almost like he's the Master's true form. The Master one gets worse. There are THREE Beever Masters! We got the one that often faced Four, then Anthony Ainley, then in "Dust Breeding" Seven faces Beever again but AFTER the Ainley incarnation. Turns out a plan of The Master went pretty baddly and The Master lost his stolen body, returning back to decaying version of. Then I can presume he stole a view more bodies, got executed by the Daleks, and then the The TV Movie happends, and then things get even more confusing thanks to the Bruce version popping up a few times on his own, and then "Mastermind" he's Beevers again, and then he finally dies for real and reegenerates into the Bald Master that would turn out to have created the his burnend incarnation in the first place.
The only thing more exciting than being on the Doctor Who Wiki is seeing the same story mentioned on Broke Canon!!! (Or seeing the cover anyway) Thanks for fitting Lucy Lockdown in Davis, you've made my day!
The only explanations I can think of for the Beevers conundrum is that the Master just really wants to look like Geoffrey Beevers for some reason, but always ends up getting his face horribly burnt; Beevers played the Pratt Master in Keeper of Traken and a different one in every other story; or he just keeps having to revert to his decayed Beevers form in-between stolen bodies, making it so that that one exists throughout the same period of time as a bunch of other ones.
Honestly I could never bring myself to part with the idea that the crispy master happened because the master tried to regenerate past the timelord limit. It’s just so perfect for the master and where they were at that point as a character, and the scene in the comics where it happens is just perfect

the (burnt) master is an incarnation who originally looked like geoffrey beevers. when he takes on anthony ainly's body, he's simply wearing the body but still the beevers incarnation. same think with the snakeworm morphant and then eric roberts. he doesn't regenerate into alex macqueen until day of the master

I think there's one story where the Crispy Master says every time he steals a body (which his thirteenth incarnation did way too many times), he always ends up reverting to the Beevers body. I wouldn’t know which one though.
In regards to the Geoffrey Beavers Master, every Master between Delgado and Macqueen is Geoffrey Beavers master posessing a different body... Whenever those hosts die he reverts to the Geoffrey Beavers Master once again until he can find a new body... Eventually he dies for good as the crispy master, but is very promptly given a new regeneration cycle to fight the coming Timewar... So the answer is, depending on how you look at it, either there are multiple Beavers' Masters or Ainley, Roberts, and possibly others are all the same incarnation of the Master filtered through the personalities of the bodies he is in.

Okay so the thing with master and his family is basically that he doesn't have a proper body still so he takes over the bodies of humans and after a while each body he takes over deteriorates into the crispy master. So he sets up this scheme where he transfers himself into his sons body each time the son has a kid to survive for multiple generations.

To elaborate further on the Master setting himself on fire, it's his future self (the Alex Macqueen version) going back in time and deliberately setting his previous self on fire in order to trick a cult who worship a crazy ancient Time Lord that his past self is dead, when he obviously knows that his past self survives survives the crispification. Some highlights from the scene are the Macqueen Master seeing his past self and saying he'd almost forgotten what his former self looked like before becoming crispy, and he delivers a great line where he finally remembers what it was that burned him in the first place - himself.

With the Master I think the two crispies are supposed to be the same Master, he possesses Ainley, then becomes his weird worm thing and possesses Roberts, then at some point that body breaks down and he becomes crispy again. Or maybe it was the Ainley body that breaks down, who knows lmao

So the Beevers master isn’t after the TV Movie master, he *is* the TV movie master in the same respect as he is the Ainly master as he doesn’t regenerate but takes over the bodies, so that’s how he comes after the tvm as well as being before ainley

So the Jeffrey Beavers master is the burnt out husk that the Master always reverts to when they go through their regeneration cycles, I think it’s mentioned in Ravenous 4
Come on, man. The Geoffery Beevers Master is a base form that he degrades to at the end of his life, and taking over someone's body, like Tremas in the Keeper of Traken or the mob boss, only prolongs the inevitable, so he eventually reverts to that form as he gets older. Big Finish establishes that it's not a specific incarnation in the Monthly Range audio Dust Breeding.
I think I accidentally cut out the line that justified that tangent. I'll make it clearer in my next one.

I always thought because beevers stole ainley boddy that once ainley died he just lost his body and went back to being beevers so he just constantly goes back to being beevers until he gets a new cycle and becomes Alex McQueen
The explanation as for how the Decayed Master is both before and after the TVM Master is that the 80s and TVM Masters are just sub-incarnations of the Decayed Master. Essentially, due to the fact he's out of lives, the Decayed Master steals bodies, but these bodies aren't proper Regenerates, and they ultimately breakdown, resulting in the Master being back in their true Decaying form again. The easiest away to think of it is that Ainley and Robert's Masters are just skinsuits worn by the Decaying Boi.
The Beevers Master used Tremas as a skin puppet and escaped it when the Tremas body was destroyed. He then had a few stories that take place before the TV Movie and involve the Seventh Doctor.
Then after the events of the TV Movie, the Master sorta split into two with the Roberts Master being trapped in the Vortex and Crispy in the Eye of Harmony.
Eventually in Day of the Master, The Beevers incarnation gets killed by the Ravenous and that marks the end of the run of the Master until he gets resurrected by Time Lords.
He’s resurrected by Missy, The War Master and the Eric Roberts Master using CIA technology, he’s granted a second regeneration cycle as he’s being killed by the ravenous

UNIT enemy Master (Delgado)
regenerates into Corpse Master mk 1 (Pratt/Beevers)
possesses Nyssa's dad (Ainley)
that body gets destroyed by Scream (yes the painting lmao) in Dust Breeding so we are at Corpse Master Mk 2
He possesses another body that is destroyed at start of the TV Movie, having eaten a Deathworm Morphant that allowed him to possess humans and become Bruce Master (Roberts)
That gets destroyed somewhere down the line and we are at Corpse Master mk 3.
THAT version finally regenerates thanks to war master, bruce master and missy in Day of the Master into Bald Master (Alex McQueen)
Undated, that master regenerates seemingly into kid War Master from the comics (?), who is artificially aged/regenerates into true War Master (Jacobi)

But essentially, the Master is still in the 13th incarnation of his first cycle (Beevers) throughout all the events until he becomes MacQueen, just inhabiting stolen bodies which are either eventually destroyed or deteriorate.

I like the idea that the Master keeps turning back into Beavers post Survival (Dust Breeding) and the TV movie (Mastermind). Almost like he's the Master's true form. That's more headcanon, all it means right now is that Beavers has played three different versions of the Master. And God Bless him for it.
