I think it's the over-reliance on meta jokes after season 3 that makes it or breaks it for some people. Kinda like how modern day/gen z humor in some shows can be super hit or miss like Rise of the TMNT (super good show btw I'd recommend it)

Generator Rex is one of the most under-appreciated shows I’ve ever seen. Cool action, soundtrack, villain, hero, sidekick, love interest, other love interest, mentor, other sidekick, etc etc. everything about that show is just super cool.

In one 11 minute episode, he mutates due to his mental stress, gets hugged by all his friends, turns back to normal, and then he gets therapy off-screen. Like, with the amount of shit Steven went through, both in the OG show and Future, I kinda thought there'd be more emphasis on him healing after all of that instead of just doing build up.

Amazing world of gumball is the only cartoon network show that takes memes correctly, and it's a really good show when you compare it to cartoon network's other projects

On its own its really good in terms of its genre, but it's not necessarily a staple of CN. If it were then wouldn't that movie Firebreather be considered a staple too? Of course not, because it was not a show (and also it wasn't very good).

I loved sheep in the big city. It had the same kind of intentional badness that the old rocky and bullwinkle cartoon had, which fits right in with my sense of humor.
Sad confession: As a kid, I prefered season 4 and 5 of Dexter's Lab over the past seasons, simply because of how the colors were more bright and crisp while past seasons look dull and old by comparison. Turns out it’s a process called “digital ink and paint” while past episodes used traditional cel animation. Not to mention other aspects like the annoying voices were quicker to my messed-up attention span as a kid.
