Early Marklin "Engine House" or Machine Hall, 1904-09

This survivor is nearly 120 years old now and was with the same family since new. It was, however, enjoyed by at least two generations and is well play worn. The engine itself is a true compound, but the advantages of compounding are questionable in such a toy. Now running again on steam, slowly but surely.
