On earth she is basically a demigoddess and regaining her power and position.
You should multiclass warlock (great old one) for mind tricks, lightsaber summoning (pact of blade) and force push/pull (eldritch blast, repelling blast+grasp of hadar)
One of these force users will be a warlock. When I do a bunch of builds that could be pretty similar (jedi/sith) I try to vary them a bit here or there to show different paths to get similar flavors
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 fair enough. I use warlock as the base for all my force builds then branch depending on their character. Like Luke is a warlock/fighter, vader a warlock/paladin, or palpatine a warlock/storm sorcerer
Damn, all of the characters you’re polling for are all kinda variations on this build; Dooku is more duelist, Palpatine is dark sorcerer, and Kyle Ren is... who cares. Do Dooku!
I have always seen Vader as a Oathbreaker paladin with three levels of barbarian. (Subclass matters less here, but Berserker works well.) I also feel like Vader's second highest stat would be constitution, because he is scary due to him being unstoppable. No matter what you throw at him, he keeps going, which is constitution. The Oathbreaker gives him super damage at 7th level, and he can subjugate undead, which seems on brand. Hold person is definitely the perfect force choke though. Cool video!
Fun fact, the Sun Sword is a shortsword that does a longsword's worth of radiant damage and an extra d8 to undead and fiends and generates an aura of sunlight. It's basically an anti vampire lightsaber and is VERY thematically fitting for any Paladin.
Vader is known for his strength but he's also a HUGE marathon runner when it comes to fights, he's fought for hours before and won and is insanely fast in most canon. Other than the stats though love the vid.
Nice Video But little correction: the Stormtroopers aren't Clones. The Clone Troopers went out of production after the end of the Clone Wars/after Episode lll. Some Clone Troopers loyal to the Republic/the newly founded Empire belonged to or trained the first Generation of Stormtroopers. Other than that, the Empires Army was build the old fashioned way - by recruting civilians. Boba Fett is actually one of the last Jango Fett Clones known to be alive around Episode VI
@@getthegoons To my knowledge they stopped using Clones with the end of the Republic. As far as I remember, they even discriminated the Clones and saw them as inferior. (Kinda similar to how black people used to be treated? Maybe not the best analogy, but the only one I can remember at the moment)
This is all correct, they tried varying the clones with different templates, but then switched to civilians. Vader however never trusted the new clones and viewed the civilian stormtroopers as inferior. His 501st also known as Vader's Fist is the last standing battalion of clones from the Clone Wars. They are also the same battalion he led as General Skywalker.
Again, love these builds, love figuring them out. Just a bit confused about a couple things. I’ve noticed a couple times, you’ve called out picking up spells that are already in a subclass as Domain or Oath spells. It should be noted that Clerics, Land Druids, Xanathars Rangers, and Paladins all get these additional spells automatically, IN ADDITION to any spells they pick up from their native spell list. I’m only mentioning because you called out Command and Hold Person specifically (which might just mean “Hey, these specific ones are important”), but just to be clear for anyone playing the build, you get the entire Conquest list for free, and can pick up other spells from the Paladin list up to Cha mod plus half your level, a new list after every long rest. Enjoy. Also, minor note on “Dueling” Fighting Style (though it doesn’t matter either way for this specific build), the requirement is not that you have nothing in your other hand. It only requires that you be using a (melee) weapon in one hand and *no other weapons*. Important because shields are nice, and totally viable. (And, someone already called out the Defensive Duelist feat requirements, but in case it comes up in another build, just like Dueling it DOES NOT require that you aren’t equipped with a shield. Basically, whenever possible, be running a shield, because the mechanics are kind to shield users. “If you have a choice between a sword and a shield, take the shield...”)
Yes! Especially with Paladins, I dont go into every spell they could get, if I don't cover a spell, I'm basically just saying "save the slot for a smite"
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 i'm SO excited for a Giorno build!! especially with that new playtest content a Jojo Character definitely warrants a re-examination
G.E.R is already a spell. It’s called Wish. If you want, talk to your DM about a cursed item with that name, functioning the same but reducing your health to 1. That way, if something DOES manage to hit you, you’re gone.
This video was recommended to me today, even though I've already watched it. I'm pretty sure it's because today, Dave Prowse passed away. I'll remember him as the menace he portrayed, and honor him back making this my next build. RIP Dave, may the force be with you.
And that Ganondorf build, christ. At the start, he flies around slinging spells at you. On his last third of health, have him go into a Rage. Even if he is reduced to 0, he'll still keep fighting. Turok mentioned he was "an OG multistage endboss", and I think he delivered. Also, can fluff the Rage as the transition to Demon Lord Ganon. Maybe add in a size increase to add to the effect. Legit just OoT Ganondorf, but you can't reflect his Deadman Volley.
For those of you who DO want to force choke someone... replace one of the cantrips mentioned in the Magic Initiate feat part with Chill Touch. The text more or less describes a zombie or skeletal hand wrapping it's fingers around the target, but you can flavor it to make it sound like you are doing it with just your mind. It's also rather beneficial to the build altogether, since it prevents healing until the start of your next turn and imposes disadvantage against undead targets. The only odd bit is that it does necrotic damage rather than force, but it's still you essentially choking someone with a thought. And the best part? Not a concentration spell.
I've suggested this before and I will continue to suggest this. Big Boss/Solid Snake build! I want a sneaky rogue mixed with the CQC and grappling of a monk, as well as the leadership to turn captured soldiers into alleys and the weapon proficiency of every weapon to be a true soldier on a battlefield that is ever-changing.
I am in deep love with your channel. I wish I could play in 14 different campaigns only so I could test all these wonderful builds. One more request for the list: Light Yagami from Death Note. He would probably be a warlock with the pact of the tome. What really makes me curious is how you would make him do enough damage to kill most targets with only one “hit".
I know i asked you about Cloud strife a while back but i just realized that Sephiroth would be one hell of a unit in dnd after seeing this vid! Good job with it btw it being yhe video i mean

Episode 82 of the Fire Emblem stats: Anakin Skywalker. I'm gonna do something a but unorthodox for Darth Vader. He's great at swords (lightsabers), faith (the Force), flying (since he's a master pilot), and authority (since he's feared and respected throughout the galaxy). Instead of putting heavy armor as a strength, it's a budding talent for him. After all, it wasn't his choice to be put in this suit of armor. He's bad at reason because he's never been able to use Force Lightning unlike his master. Darth has high defense, resistance, and strength, but he has had bad luck all his life, he has the least charming romantic dialogue in the galaxy, and while he used to be fast, his speed and dexterity absolutely suck now.
Since you get a lot of the Vader-y spells from just being a Conquest Paladin, I'd reccommend some extras Elemental Weapon, lightsabers are bright, but they're also very hot. It'll also make your saber magical, which should help against enemies that resist Slashing damage. Shield of Faith, deflect blaster bolts and protect yourself with the Force. Detect Magic, sense disturbances in the Force. Blinding Smite, go for the eyes. Locate Creature, use the Force to find people. Staggering Smite, hit people so hard that they become unable to fight back properly out of fear. Destructive Wave, Force Repulse. It's basically a bigger Force Push.
Maybe using Chill Touch would work for force choke(picking it instead of message, especially because Vader seems to do most of his talking in person or in response(Palpatine is more likely to have message, and Vader is just responding to him)
My headcanon is that it was on a mixtape Padme made. Anakin would make fun of her for it. Now he misses her, and will listen to it, regretting that he ever said anything hurtful to her.
Storm troopers ARE NOT Clone Troopers! And while we are at it, the Clones didn't willingly betray the Jedi do the restraint chips in their heads that activate on Order 66. I would love a Count Dooku build cause he is one of the least used Sith Lords.
For the starting feat, (Now, this might not have even been in Unearthed Arcana when this was made, so you probably had no way of knowing about this,) but along with the new Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, they released a new feat called 'Telekinetic', which improves your Intelligence, Wisdom or Charisma by 1, (You would choose Charisma in this case,) and it allows you to learn and cast Mage Hand without Verbal or Somatic components, and you can make it invisible. Also, as a bonus action, you can try to telekinetically shove one creature you can see within 30 feet of you. When you do so, the target must succeed on a strength saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + the ability modifier of the score you increased by this feat) or by moved 5 feet towards or away from you. A creature can willingly fail this save. Essentially, it gives you the power to use the basics of the force.
For recommendations can we see Darth Maul? The way I’d see Darth Maul is primarily fighter with monk levels so his double ended sword is dex damage, with the abilities to choke and violently throw your opponent, a crazy dash attack and the saver throw as seen in Star Wars Battlefront 2
I'd probably use a one level Hexblade dip to allow Vader to use Charisma for his attacks. I know Hexblade is an op dip but I reckon it's very thematic - although you'll miss out on the nice Conquest capstone. For feats, I'd use Inspiring Leader, and some combination of Tough, Mobile, Alert, Prodigy (Intimidation Expertise) and Resilient Con. A Sunblade or Holy Avenger isn't always available but suits this build very well.
I’m quite new to dnd and this build is a dream for me. I was thinking that with 2 or 3 levels in hexblade it would just make you The chosen one. First level warlock get an otherwordly patron. Palpatine is your boss and at this point he is traited like a god, but at the end the Force guide you to save your son. You get 2 cantrips : Eldritch blast so you can do 1d10 force damage by extending your hand. And if I’m not mistaken it scalde over levels and not Warlock level so that you get stronger in the Force. For the 2nd one maybe friends for some more jedi mind trickiness And 2 first level spells : Wrathful smite for more damage and more fear and shield to use the Force to protect yourself are both from the hexblade expanded spells list. The hexblade get Hexblade’s curse at first level. A very menacing curse on someone once in a long rest. You’re get the crit chance bonus before invincible conqueror that you don’t get anymore, bonus damage and heal yourself for every dead cursed body you leave behind you. Even better Hex Warrior, you’re not fighting two handed you don’t need to hit hard. You’re so charismatic that it helps you hit and deal damge with your magic sword. Multiclassing make you loose on ability score but you don’t need your strength cap anymore. Now for the second level of warlock : you get a new spell yeah ! But you also get eldritch invoctions. And you have Force push, Force shock, what about Force pull ? Grasp of Hadar will transform your eldritch blast in the Force pull that you missed. For the 2nd one Repelling blast give you an other Force push, Agonizing blast for even more Force damage, Armor of shadow because you’re a tank. You’ve so many options. At this point the Force is already very strong with you. The 3rd level would give you pact of the blade so that you can make your laser sword appear out of nowhere but you loose your extended aura of paladin. You would also get 2nd level warlock spell like Blur, Branding smite (2d6 radiant damage from your gleaming sword), suggestion (more mind trick).
lazerbeams2 Um, well changeling can do that but not get the abilities. Both Aarakocra and lizardfolk are in the monster manual. Technically. The 2nd lvl spell alter self changes your body to appear like another race but you do not get the statistics. 18 wizard with 2 levels of moon druid is probably the best way to do it so you can feel like a shapeshifter through the whole adventure, but wizard is the class that gets the most of those spells. Abjurer wizard is better for that than transmuter because they have the extra buffer against concentration checks with the arcane ward. On the other hand, druid does get shapechange, which lets you change your form every turn and still spellcast while concentrating on it. And archdruids (at lvl 20) can shapeshift unlimited times with wildshape. They could just swap from earth elemental to fire elemental and back and basically need to be super careless to take so much of a beating in one round to go down.
I intend to use this build in an upcoming campaign, except I'm taking the telekinetic feat at the beginning instead of magic initiate and I can't take defensive duelist, which is fine because I won't be using light weapons much anyway. I rolled high on my stats too so this should be very interesting.
I've been trying to recreate Rubick, from DotA2, and I'm fairly new to DnD 5E, so the concept is a powerful mage with the ability to ocasionally steal the spells of your enemy while also having great magic resistance. I was thinking about going Arcane Trickster but that leaves you with a lackluster spell pool. The other choice was going full mage and taking the Wish spell to duplicate the enemy spells, which seems to be the better one. Not as experienced with Sorcerer's so I don't know if it's good enough to sprinkle a couple levels from there two. I'll keep researching. Loving the channel so far.
I assumed a multiclass build could work too. Some sort of eldritch knight build. Telekenisis to simulate force pushes or pull. Some necromancer spells to get that choking effect and fear spells. And a melee class that gets alot of attacks and deflections.
yOu dOn't kNow how much of his internals they'd replaced by the time of 'A New Hope' How dare you all call Benjamin Kenobi a liar, he just sees things from a certain perspective!
I mean, both are half-human half-magic beings that tragically lost their mothers, got stuck following a BBEG's orders in a shitty suit of armour, then tore their son's arms off and later tried to make up for it in a big climatic father/son battle with awesome music.
Tulok, I thought you might like to know this inspired me to make a Vader-esque Dragonborn Paladin of Tiamat for an upcoming Avernus game. No longsword or UA, but a Greatsword, Two Handed fighting and the Dragon Fear feat to replace Menacing
I mean, he's a quarterstaff monk multiclassed into a spellcaster for force powers, probably paladin to use get smite. I'd go oath of treachery. Get polearm master for bonus attacks with the back end of the staff.
I know this was not likely made with this in mind, but anakin won or almost won alot of fights through physically overpowering his opponent. In revenge of the sith, he disarms dooku by grabbing his arms when he was going to block and cuts them off.

Her dragon arms that appear through the portals etc she believes are manifestations of her true deific dragon form :P
@@RoxyGotMoxy.
May I ask what she really is/whats actually going on with her?
Ain't gonna lie, I'd start thinking I'm something greater too if giant arms started appearing out of holes in reality to tear apart my enemies.
@@cecilusbrize4679 I've left it up to the DM ultimately but I'm hoping she gets eventually revealed to the party to actually be a Goddess and gets to take her place as a deity in her own right and from there have all sorts of stories in future campaigns etc. I'm hoping we end up with a triumvirate of dragon gods. Bahamut, Tiamat, and Xantchi. Bahamut the lawful good platinum dragon god, Tiamat the chaotic evil chromatic dragon goddess and Xantchi the lawful/neutral evil dragon goddess of fear, ambition, and resolve. I've also got backstory such that she was technically birthed on earth by the ancient battle between Bahamut and Tiamat, so Xantchi is technically in a way their daughter, and in her true form is a colossal and truly ancient, silvery-white dragon deity with a pearlescent covering to her scales.

Cool video!
Don’t forget to talk to your DM about switching to Oath of Redemption right before the BBEG fight. #DecemberTulokRewatch
this is actually an amazing example of how to play and evil paladin which isn't an oath breaker. thanks for that.
Know when Thor screams yes at the sight of Hulk in Ragnarok?
That. At this. Js.
YEEEESSS! 😀
Fun fact, the Sun Sword is a shortsword that does a longsword's worth of radiant damage and an extra d8 to undead and fiends and generates an aura of sunlight. It's basically an anti vampire lightsaber and is VERY thematically fitting for any Paladin.
The music que is just *perfect*
Glad you liked it, everytime I think "dark side" I always think Michelle Branch
Vader is known for his strength but he's also a HUGE marathon runner when it comes to fights, he's fought for hours before and won and is insanely fast in most canon. Other than the stats though love the vid.
But what do you dump? You need wis and cha, and his fighting style is strength based.
I have been loving all these builds lately! Keep ‘em coming

But little correction: the Stormtroopers aren't Clones.
I thought they still used clones but used more varied stock than just Jango
@@derskalde4973 they actualy thought clones were better but they were expensive and slow to produce there were faster ones but they were faulty
So basically defensive duelist would be useful for Captain America/Goofy in Kingdom Hearts. Nice!
please do giorno giovanna, if it’s possible to somehow implement gold experience requiem.
Jojo characters? I already did one. It would be at least a week before I do another one, sorry
JONATHAN JOESTAR WHEN
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 i'm SO excited for a Giorno build!! especially with that new playtest content a Jojo Character definitely warrants a re-examination
literally just jotaro, but instead of getting the athlete feat, get magic initiate and get some healing and nature spells. doesnt need a whole video
G.E.R is already a spell. It’s called Wish. If you want, talk to your DM about a cursed item with that name, functioning the same but reducing your health to 1. That way, if something DOES manage to hit you, you’re gone.
To this day, still waiting for my favorite boi Anakin to make a comeback for the channel...
This video was recommended to me today, even though I've already watched it. I'm pretty sure it's because today, Dave Prowse passed away. I'll remember him as the menace he portrayed, and honor him back making this my next build. RIP Dave, may the force be with you.
a feel just like with pennywise that this is a better bbeg build then a player build
@@researchinbreeder i almost forgot about that one
I love your videos so much!
Hey thanks, I'll keep them coming just for you :)
Thank you for this! I'm not intending to play him as a PC but as a terrifying NPC they need to run like hell away from early game. This is perfect!
How did it go?
Wow, i'm so glad that you uploaded such a nice video in my birthday, thank you!
Wow, now this is one of my favorite variant humans in media. Great vid!
Excellent. After 83 builds we finally have it
I've suggested this before and I will continue to suggest this. Big Boss/Solid Snake build!
I want a sneaky rogue mixed with the CQC and grappling of a monk, as well as the leadership to turn captured soldiers into alleys and the weapon proficiency of every weapon to be a true soldier on a battlefield that is ever-changing.
Yo, he's on today's poll, shhhhh don't tell anyone
Darth Vader is the epitome of Conquest Paladin.
I vote Dooku. He's one of, if not the best, duelist the Jedi Order had ever seen, was Royalty, a Mastermind and ruthless leader.
Really liking your videos are very informative and helped me understand 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons the last suggestion I played was 3.5 I really would like to get back pain at some point

Great great Video!
Ooooh I’ve been waiting for this one
Initially i thought that he should be an oath breaker paladin then i realized that he can't resurrect dead
Was looking to this video as inspiration to make a main antagonist for my DND campaign 😌😌
Since you get a lot of the Vader-y spells from just being a Conquest Paladin, I'd reccommend some extras
Elemental Weapon, lightsabers are bright, but they're also very hot.
Another great video. Now time to do Arnold Schwarzenegger 1984 Conan the Barbarian. 😉
Maybe using Chill Touch would work for force choke(picking it instead of message, especially because Vader seems to do most of his talking in person or in response(Palpatine is more likely to have message, and Vader is just responding to him)
Top notch intro music. I approve.
My headcanon is that it was on a mixtape Padme made. Anakin would make fun of her for it. Now he misses her, and will listen to it, regretting that he ever said anything hurtful to her.
Tulok the Barbrarian And this obviously happened all through the original trilogy. Somehow even angstier than in the sequel triology.
My favourite Vader flex was when he got angry at a guy on another spaceship, and choked him through a video call.
Storm troopers ARE NOT Clone Troopers! And while we are at it, the Clones didn't willingly betray the Jedi do the restraint chips in their heads that activate on Order 66. I would love a Count Dooku build cause he is one of the least used Sith Lords.
The foil between the Clone Troopers and the Battle Droids was a fun little bit of philosophy I often enjoyed.
Please make a Greek Kratos build. I really look forward to you solving the Blades of Chaos
I'm playing a Tiefling Oath of Conquest paladin in a game and I didn't even think of the feats for skills. Good call.
Ah yes, classic evil guy.
The baddest of the dad.
Might you be able to do a bayonetta video one day? That would be so cool 😎🤩
I think a video on how to play Anderson Cooper in DnD 5e would be cool
I just feel like if I don't do Chris Cuomo first, it would be weird, sorry
Eladrin?
If fear a path to the Dark Side is, then you are a hiking instructor. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
For the 2nd one maybe friends for some more jedi mind trickiness
And 2 first level spells : Wrathful smite for more damage and more fear and shield to use the Force to protect yourself are both from the hexblade expanded spells list.
Loved Anakin's quick build
I shall use the power of the force to cause you to make a how to play ben 10 in dnd 5e

Christoffer true polymorph and shapechange at lvl 17+ makes it a lot easier
@@44tuck3r does polymorph let you change to another playable race? Tabaxi would make a good Xlr8
lazerbeams2
Um, well changeling can do that but not get the abilities.
Palpatine, you have to. not because you specifically HAVE to, but because i wanna know what you think about that build. 8D
New idea for a build off beat but skeksil "the Chamberlain" from the dark crystal. Be fun to see a cunning character for a change.

Gonna keep waiting, I'll dive into it eventually I'm sure, but at the moment, I'm not familiar.
I was actually hoping to find a Dr. Doom in the list, but I think Vader might work just as well for an angry paladin with similar aspirations.
I assumed a multiclass build could work too.
Some sort of eldritch knight build. Telekenisis to simulate force pushes or pull. Some necromancer spells to get that choking effect and fear spells.
And a melee class that gets alot of attacks and deflections.

Well if Darth Vader fails, you can always make or pick up a Darth Vader clone.
He has a surprising amount, both in and out of Star Wars
Not gonna lie when you said, last vid, "ultimate deadbeat dad", I thought you meant Vergil from Devil May Cry.
I mean, both are half-human half-magic beings that tragically lost their mothers, got stuck following a BBEG's orders in a shitty suit of armour, then tore their son's arms off and later tried to make up for it in a big climatic father/son battle with awesome music.

I know this was not likely made with this in mind, but anakin won or almost won alot of fights through physically overpowering his opponent. In revenge of the sith, he disarms dooku by grabbing his arms when he was going to block and cuts them off.
